Here is the place to be if you want to find out about the latest diet craze.
Feel free to ask questions, I am sure we have some members here that are doing Keto so I am letting the pros handle it.
If you guys want to start a daily, weekly, whatever thread, go for it.

*waves* I don't do strict keto, the super high fat is not appealing to me, but I do low carb and I do use more fat than WW allows, does that count? lol

*waves* I've been researching keto and the super high fat does appeal to me. And if I can eat lots of fat and burn fat, then I'm interested! Looking forward to reading the "pros" info! I'll share anything good I learn.

I know a few people who do Keto and they all do it differently. My one friend highly recommends going to YouTube and looking up Ken Berry Keto. He has tons of videos with tons of information about it.
I don't do Keto, but I do watch my carbs.

amy you said you have been researching it? Congratulations, you too are now a pro too! 🤣🤣 Seriously the only thing I know about it is that they have a million and one cookbooks at Costco which I may have ranted about on the General board and that although the names keep changing and the tweaks keep coming, people have been doing this in one form or another forever. ^ this is not because I have anything against Keto or any low carb type diet if it works for you. I am like Oprah, "I LOVE BREAD," in other words, don't be touching my carbs peeps.

I forgot dietdoctor.com lol I use a lot of 90 or 93% lean ground turkey instead of beef. I opt for center cut sirloin steaks when I can because it's lower in calories than other cuts. I LIKE chicken breast lol, but I do use thighs as well. I use avocado and olive oil, along with kerrygold butter. We eat a lot of veggies! Radishes, lettuces, greens of all kinds, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini and yellow squash, onions(green, yellow, red), bell peppers, asparagus (LOVE asparagus), jicama, rutabagas and turnips, carrots(limited), cucumbers, green beans, sauerkraut (I keep a jar of Bubbies in the fridge, or Kimchi for the probiotics -just 2-3T a day , bell peppers; I mean there are so many wonderful veggies that are low in carbs, have a decent amount of fiber and are packed with nutrition Fruits that are low in carbs are mainly berries - lower sugar and higher fiber. Avocado is a fruit technically, and so good for you (loaded with vitamins, potassium and healthy fats and fibers) I don't use a lot of "products". I use Joseph's low-carb pitas or lavash now and then. I keep a couple of protein shakes on hand for use as coffee creamer when I want a sweet coffee drink.

Thanks ALL for the tidbits.
Gonna check out Dr. Ken Berry.
Deb, I love crackers. Bread I keep out of my house. If brought in by family, I partake, but keep none for later.

Okay, DotRen, are those cigarettes hanging out of his ears or plugs? Just curious.

Okay, I had bacon for breakfast and had some fat from it. I seasoned some cauliflower florets, rolled them in the fat, and sauteed. Half way done I added some chopped asparagus. Very good. And I usually only eat cauliflower raw, as I don't like the cooked smell.
