DH and I were tested for covid. Not surprisingly we were positive. I'm just trying to rest as much as possible and get better.

I quit walking again, so I need to start that. I have been good about eating fruits and vegetables each day, but need more vegetables. But I've been eating too much junk food (especially sweet things). I need to figure out what "plan" I can use that will work for me now. Take care everyone

Hello Everyone - Hope everyone is doing well I'm so disappointed with myself. I'm just not motivated to eat right, track or exercise. I guess at least I can feel good that I'm still trying to eat some healthy foods each day. I hope something will click for me and I can get myself going in a better direction.

cj59, sunrose49, Thank you ladies! You made me feel like I'm not alone. I need to try to do what you all do. Little things like checking in and eating healthy foods are the first steps forward. ... and tracking... ugh, tracking. I used to be such a good tracker! How the mighty have fallen I guess.

I feel like I always come in like a downer. I wanted to share some happy news.
My family is all healthy and happy. DH just got a new job - which has been very exciting but stressful as all big life changes are. My pets are all happy to have us home from our recent family vacation. I'm having a great school year with my kids - we've been homeschooling since the pandemic. And I'm actually having awesome success with keeping my house clean! I'm a chronically messy person, but I'm rocking my daily and weekly routines.
I'd love to hear what good things you all have going on in your lives?

I am trying to get back on track. Did the tm yesterday while listening to a virtual workshop.
Not much else going on in my life. Between the pandemic and being an empty Nester with a dog I havenโt traveled at all. My dog is close to 11 years old and Iโve never boarded her so Iโm not gonna do that now.

Hi sunrose - I hope you are doing well today. The last dog I had lived to 16 years and I never boarded her either, I told myself I wouldn't do it and was glad I never had to. I'm glad you were able to get on the treadmill. I was thinking that I need to listen to some weight loss videos while I'm walking, maybe it will help motivate me. Linda - I hope you and your husband are feeling better. I'm still eating pretty well, but haven't started walking again. I need to set a goal to walk every day this coming week. I'm saying it here so hopefully it will make me to do it The thing that makes me so sad about losing weight is that I always tell myself I won't gain back what I lost, but each time I do. At least the last few times I'm not gaining it all back (and then some) but I want to get to a point where I can maintain my weight (or around 5 pounds or so around that weight) for the rest of my life. I'm just tired of all the hard work to lose it and then it comes back on so easily. I know my biggest stumbling block is my emotional attachment to food. I use it for comfort and so many other things, and that is what I haven't been able to change. I sure hope I can figure that out some day. Hope anyone checking in is doing well

Hello ladies! I (1) found my Fitbit (2) charged it (3) synced it (4) put it on. That's a lot of progress for one day. I also filled 16 oz tumbler with water... still working on that. So yay, for day 1! sunrose49, Thank you! Good job with the TM and workshop! I wouldn't board the dog either. My little dog (the golden one in my profile picture) is 13 now, turning 14 in April. He stays with grandparents when we travel. cj59, You're preaching to the choir on the emotional attachment. I know what I need to do and am fully capable of doing it but I think about limiting foods like I'm losing a best friend. Ridiculous really but that's the feeling I have. Sounds like you're eating well and making great goals!

Hi irisinnia - I completely understand about the feeling like losing a friend when giving up food. I even get anxious/anxiety feelings knowing I have to give them up if I want to lose weight. I'm glad that you got your FitBit working and that you are getting in your water. Good luck I hope everyone else is doing well. I did walk yesterday, but so far not today. My eating is still not great, sure hope I can get back on track. Take care
