This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Good morning, stray CATs; I hope everyone finds their way here. I figure if I, a truly dunderheaded computer user, could find my way here and get us started, perhaps others will wander in and we can keep this thing going. I even managed to copy over my headshot. Frieda, truly 2017 should be the Year of the Lin!
I can't dawdle this a.m., but I hope to have time to catch up tonight before book club.

'Morning, coffee buddy! *clink*
I found my way, as well, so hope our regulars show up.
Love the Year of the Lin; we are all behind you.
Errands, perhaps a pedicure, will take part of my day. Fridge and freezer are both so empty, I can't even play Chopped!

Good morning CATs. I hope everyone is getting ready for Christmas. I've done some baking and I'm being mindful of the points. I plan to send most home when I have the family over on Christmas Eve.
I've been doing my pt at Mayo for the past week and a half. I finish up two days early tomorrow. It's been enlightening. I realize that some of my issues are stress related. I'm learning breathing techniques to help me relax nutty pelvic floor. Following slow fructose diet has helped so much. Sara Lee makes a bread line with no high fructose corn syrup.
I survived the move to our new facility and even for flowers from a director who I've never met. I'm anxious to get back to work in the new facility. My director let me save some of my sick leave and work remotely. It's helped me to keep up.
I've been following you cats when there's time. I will book mark this page. I am surprised that Frieda is moving back! I'm glad the family is so flexible. T - special thanks to you for keeping the daily chats going.
I know it's a lot to ask to try the facebook thread. I know we've lost many in the transition to the new boards. I don't know if it would help the participation but I think it works be worth a try. We could also add a line in the opening statement about how tips and even small check-ins are welcome. I know there are some on facebook that don't check in here and vice versa bit l but at least it's more private than this ask Frieda discovered. We can be selective about who sees it on facebook.
Love you ladies! Melinda

Is this us? I definitely missed a page of the narrative, but I infer that we needed to begin again due to a peeping someone or other? Today is my last day of classes; final papers and final presentations yet to come. Went to my first political party event last night, which was data entry of caucus participants. This was enlightening, if not particularly earth-shattering, and put me in mind of those poor people who had to examine the hanging chads as I struggled to decipher handwriting on sign-in sheets, confirming via street addresses, etc. I am all for a Year of Lin! Do we begin by wearing velvet empire dresses and inviting that dashing Colonel Brandon for high tea? Melinda, good to hear from you! I am glad you are learning some good stuff at the Mayo. How long will you continue there? Where are you staying? T., GL with the DStus today. Nancy, what's on tap in your corner of the world? Shari, I missed it, too. Are you stepping away from teaching or organizing the recital? Okay, attempting to focus.

I'm still giggling over your avatar, Kate. SO adorable! I've spent the morning, running errands, buying a few groceries. I ran into an old friend at the store, and I think she and I visited almost a half hour. This afternoon is making sugar cookie dough, and two batches of bread; cheese bread and dill bread. Baked chicken for supper. I weighed in this a.m. and was 1.3# down from Sunday. The steps are helping. My Aria scale is not syncing with my Fitbit, so I think I'll take the batteries out, take it off my profile, and start over installing it again. It probably gave up on me for ignoring it so long!

I found my way to our new home away from fb.
DH being on vacation is throwing me off.
I figured out the points for my gingersnap cookies. 1= 3sp, 2= 7sp. Grumble, grumble.
Dryer beeping at me so will close...
Hugs & Love~

Hello! Frieda here! High tea sounds lovely, Kate. Cookie dough sounds good, although I would eat much of it. I love sugar dough. You are a baking maven. Your house looks beautiful. I was watching the Today show and on pinterest a top word is scadanavian or something. The word is hyggge, or something like that. It's pronounced Huge. It means EXACTLY what you have pictured.
