Good morning everyone.
I don't usually start the thread but here I am.
It's so humid here today. I love the hot weather but this humidity is gross! I went to put on my concealer this morning and I was like "really, my eyes are sweating?!" On top of that, it's been bad hair weather all week. Oh well, I think there's improvement in sight for the weekend!
Have a good one all!

I am sooo ready for vacation, my mind is everywhere else but on work! LOL
Working from home today which is great but does not help with distractions!
Have a great day - I will be sporadic on and off for the next 10 days

oh the humidity!! It makes me wonder why I even bother to put makeup on some days! LOL dina, today is my last day of work before vacation! I wish I was going to the beach, but will be in Kansas! I know, I know, WHO goes to Kansas? Well, my sister lives there and my great niece is having surgery on Tuesday, so we are going out there to help out. Next summer I get to go to the beach! Belle is still on the road to recovery! It's been hard to keep her calm. And it doesn't help that the kitten wants her to play! They are just crazy! I did take her out for walk last night and she did good. I hope you all have a GREAT day!

Humidity problems? Yeah, I feel your pain, or sweat! You know it's humid when you go outside to get the newspaper (at 6:30 a.m.) and your glasses fog up. It's a fact of life in Houston. The good thing is we only have 4 months until it cools off!!! LOL!!
I'm going to pick up the grand kids to spend the day. DD is getting her hair cut and colored so the DGK will play here and have lunch. They are really into games now so we'll be playing UNO, checkers, etc. It will be a fun day!

Good morning all.
On the news last night , they commented on how many 90 plus days we have had, above normal! We've had as much unseasonal heat here as we did rain during the winter. Just seems to be strange weather all across the country.
Today's agenda includes a short business phone conference followed by lunch at Red Robin with a friend.
Tomorrow I'll be helping set up for our monthly book sale at the Library. In the afternoon I've scheduled a virtual reality session—something new our library is engaged in. People say the experience is fantastic. I just hope I don't trip and fall over any virtual objects!
Saturday will be the book sale, and Sunday I need to get blood drawn for lab work.
I wish everyone a great day and, where needed, some relief from humidity.

100gone,I definitely feel your pain.I was out walking at 8:30.Although my glasses did not fog up like linda72,it was definitely humid.I don't have central air either but I do have a window AC set up in the LR window. It's 91 at 11:00. dina,Enjoy your vacation. neen,Enjoy your vacation and I hope your great niece does well with her surgery. I don't know if I mentioned it or not but my niece went in the hospital Monday exactly 1 week after back surgery to relieve the fluid around her wound. She thought they were just going to give her IV antibiotics but the next night they ended up doing surgery again. The entire wound had filled up with fluid and all this happened about 2 1/2 weeks after they decided to do a hysterectomy bc it would be too risky not to bc of her kidney cancer. The poor girl cannot seem to get a break. She probably won't go home until sometime next week. Have a great day everyone.

Becky- I'm so sorry to hear about your niece. Certainly puts my week into perspective.
I just had a cavity filled today. Not as bad as I feared, but now I'm numb.
Tomorrow is the lithotripsy (blasting) for the kidney stone.
I'm really ready for a week where the schedule and my body are both back to normal.
It's hot and humid here, but weather in Central PA is nothing like you folks are dealing with.
Have a good day to everyone

Thanks for the well wishes I am going home to RI, staying with my brother. He has a pool and we will visit the beautiful Ocean State beaches. There will also be plenty of local fare to enjoy - especially Lobstah!! It's really just a trip to enjoy family and relax. My dad is flying in from California for part of the time that we will be there as well. neen ,- prayers for a successful surgery for your great niece and safe travels. @beckyw2016 , - Thoughts and prayers for your niece Becky.

Dina & Neen, enjoy your vacations and Neen, hope the surgery goes well.
Yup, humid here also. It's so still outside & one can barely breathe.
Going out to dinner tonight with an old high school buddy. The place is a little fancy for me & by that I mean I don't have a very sophisticated palate so it may be an app & a salad for me. At any rate, it's the company that counts.
Going to hop in the shower. Have a great day everyone.

I did not know that! sullicat1, OMG - Newport is beautiful! I grew up in North Providence, short stint in Cranston before moving to Smithfield with my DH. I moved to Florida 10 yrs ago at age 43. My girls were 5 & 6 when we moved.

So I had my WI today, and am SHOCKED at my loss!! DOWN 5.2 LBS!!! (I got my 25lb thingy, but really I've only lost 16.2 this time; my leader just started me where I left off when I stopped going before!) I guess that's what happens when you actually work the program, track, and exercise! NOW to keep it up on vacation! HAHAHAHA
