Good morning all.
I'm sitting on my deck enjoying this nice summer morning. My neighbors went on vacation for 2 weeks and gave me their pool key. So once I do my laundry and grocery shopping, I'm planning to hang out by their pool. ☀️
Enjoy your Sunday!

Morning. 100, I love your neighbors! Hope your weather is as perfect to be poolside as it is here.
Right now I am doing everything to avoid coloring my hair. I don't like doing it but I treat myself in other ways so getting my hair "done" seems like an extravagance...although I'm beginning to rethink that🤑
My kitchen counters look like everything I own is piled there so that definitely has to be addressed. Seems like I can only keep my countertops clear for a couple of days. Bad habit of not putting stuff away. Just made a cucumber salad & I can really smell the white vinegar I boiled. Can't wait to try these but they do have way too much sugar I think. I did a little less than what the recipe called for but I still think it's too much.
Have a good day everyone.

Hi All. I have been peaking in but not posting. Things are a little weird in my world at the moment. My 93 year old dad has been hospitalized with a UTI, dehydration, and a slow heart rate. I am not nearby and have been relying on family to keep me informed. He is holding his own but will be in extended rehab to gain strength since he was not doing much moving and he is weak. My mom is not too mobile either so they are dealing with getting her to see him etc. I will go there sometime in August as it will be a more helpful time and I can do a more extended stay. I have video chatted with him a few times and that is interesting since technology is astounding at that age.
I have used my better habits to not emotionally eat. I am still in super plateau mode so I am maintaining which is a plus in trying times.
So I am still around and check in to see what you all are up to. Just knowing we all do this journey together is super for me. I have not been going to the WW center to see the same weight over and over again but as always weigh daily.
We have had hazy, super hot, and super humid days but some lowering yesterday and today after massive T-storms on Friday. Temps will be ramping up again this week. The good thing about summer is that it ends....Happy Sunday to all.

Good morning all! I'm back from my walk and a quick grocery store trip. DH has been gone all weekend but is coming home this afternoon. Yesterday, I took DD and DGD10 & DGS8 to see "Lion King". Ohh! They loved it. The music, the sets, the costumes were all fantastic. I've seen it 3 times now but it still puts a lump in my throat when all of the animals are dancing and singing "Circle of Life". It was a great time. Of course, when we got out of the theater, the weather in Houston had turned bad and there was rain, high winds, and a tornado north of town. It was a wild ride getting home. All is quiet here today so I hope we don't have a repeat of that! DebDoesWW, hope the bad weather missed you!

The good thing about summer is that it ends Love this! Yes, summer ends. For some it will end in September and for others it won't end until November.....

Tiptoes in quietly. Tracked my oatmeal/blueberry breakfast. Drank my mug of tea but I'm quietly heading to my dark den and hoping this headache is just a fluke... grrr! Just when I thought it was safe to venture out again. BBL....

Good morning everyone! Just started posting here yesterday. I hope you all have a wonderful day. Is there a thread about bulk cooking? My hubby is trying WW with me and he is interested in doing weekly meals. I've been on some websites, and I know how to calculate points but was wondering if this is a good idea doing WW?
Thanks in advance! Again, have a great Sunday!!

I'm IN.
PBNJ, sending many, MANY good thoughts that the headache is fleeting...
Wegmans. ShopRite. Wal-Mart. Longhorn Steakhouse. Yes, that seems to be quite enough from post-breakfast to 1:30 PM.
Now I'm puttering around while waiting for NASCAR (Loudon NH) to start. Toots is sawin' wood in his recliner. We figure it "starts" at 3 PM but the green flag won't wave until 3:30-ish.
I hope y'all are staying cool and having a healthy-eating day!

My kitchen counters look like everything I own is piled there so that definitely has to be addressed. Sulli, counters cluttered with things for cooking is the way others know that we actually cook! I did a bit of counter de-cluttering today while stowing groceries and in preparation for cooking later in the day.
My 93 year old dad has been hospitalized with a UTI, dehydration, and a slow heart rate. I am not nearby and have been relying on family to keep me informed. He is holding his own but will be in extended rehab to gain strength since he was not doing much moving and he is weak. Thyme, sorry for your dad's health issues. I went through various things with my 93-year-old father from 2011 to 2013. My thoughts are with you and your dad—I wish him a swift and complete recovery.
The good thing about summer is that it ends.... Can't be too soon if it is going to keep heading into the low 100s here!
hoping this headache is just a fluke Sorry to hear that...I'm hoping it is just a fluke.
Is there a thread about bulk cooking? Not sure what you mean by bulk cooking; can you elaborate?
Somewhere I have a cookbook I came into possession of that does, indeed, have recipes that include multiple measurements for single, double, quadruple batches. It wasn't specific to WW and I don't remember how appropriate it would be for the WW program.
I use a software application named Paprika—there are many others. One feature of the program is that after entering a recipe you can have the program scale it up or down at will. You might find something like that helpful.
As for WW recipes, as a man I often find that 1-1/2 or 2 servings of a WW recipe is appropriate for me. I have friends who serve their husbands 1-1/2 servings and end up getting two dinners for them and their husbands and an extra lunch for themselves out of a 6-serving recipe.
Well, as I already hinted, we're going over 100° in just a few minutes. Not sure if we went over 100° yesterday, but if not we were close. Supposedly it drops 5-10 degrees tomorrow. but they said that last weekend and it ended up being a bogus forecast.
I've already been out to the stores for groceries. I'm planning on making this InstantPot Recipe for dinner:
Chicken Marsala
My friend who got her InstantPot on sale on PrimeDay made this last night as her first InstantPot venture and she and her family loved it.
I also have a recipe for Banana Bread w/Splenda which I hope to make today. Perhaps in the evening when the sun is setting. Those ripe bananas aren't going to last much longer!
I just finished lunch: Tuna salad on baked sourdough roll, FairLife FF milk, and strawberries & blueberries mixed with Truvia and sprinkled with some TruLemon. Yum.
I've been eating so mamny Tuna lunches recently that I think I'm reverting to the Fish & Liver plan! Not being a fish lover, my 5 fish meals consisted of tuna sandwiches every weekday while I was on the original program.

Headache seems to be waning... figures crossed! Will have to fight to get all my points in today--- crackers and tea make for lousy WW meals!! zazzles I just got an InstaPot but haven't tried it out yet. Chicken Marsala looks interesting. (not appetizing at the moment though--LOL
