Hi y'all! I forgot to check in. Sounds hot everywhere except in California where Audrey lives. Ah, summer time, can it end soon? I made it to my Body Pump class. lmenglish, are you still going to yours? Do you like it? 100gone, sorry about the light headedness. Hope the doctor can help you. Mine stopped after 2 days so I think it was related to sinuses. zazzles, hope the car shows up soon. Very exciting! No plans this weekend; staying inside most of the time.

Happy Freaky TGIF everyone. zazzles,I hope you get your car soon and try to keep cool.I'm writing this as it is now 101 in the middle of the afternoon. 100gone,I hope you feel better soon and find out what's wrong next week. thyme2,I am glad your dad is doing better. The weight will come off unfortunately when it's good and ready.I went through a time in the latter part of my 1st year of WW Online where I didn't hit a plateau but would only lose 2 weeks out of each month. The other 2 weeks was either a small gain or I stayed the same. hpeterson1951,You did very well at breakfast.Good luck with the cleaning at MIL's house. sullicat1,I agree with you. It's too hot outside to do anything. jamescat1,What time did you walk?We never got under the high 70's in the early part of the morning.Prayers for the people affected by the fire. pbnj,I feel your pain.I also have sciatica plus the bum knee.Try to enjoy your anniversary dinner and feel better. Hang in there lmenglish.Better to stay the same than gain and enjoy the birthday celebration weekend. You are doing a great thing for DD.I hope it lifts her spirits. linda72,I'm with you on staying in the house.I didn't even walk outside this morning. doordie50,Try to stay cool. It's a beautiful, cool 101 right now.My DH even came in for a Gatorade break. It gets hot out there working the cattle.I got another heat advisory alert on my phone today.Like I don't know humidity will make it seem hotter.Oh well.I didn't walk this morning since I was going to Curves. That didn't happen bc I only got 4 hours of sleep last night and my legs didn't feel up to it.I did get a lot of steps in HEB and Walmart.I also got on my stationary bike and did 30 minutes.I will either get back on it later or do some more house walking to get my steps in. Please continue to pray for my niece. She has had 2 surgeries to relieve the pain and fluid caused by an infection in her back. The latest surgery was Tuesday and she said so far it has helped the most but the doctors need to find someway to seal the incisions in her back before she can go home. She is asking for prayers for the doctors to find a solution this weekend so she can go home on Monday. My DB has been staying with her kids all this time and he's older than me so I'm sure he could use a breather. Her mom did say she is getting very frustrated and I can't blame her. She's only in her late 30's and has had 8 or 9 surgeries now in less than 3 years.I wish I could be with her but she lives in Ft Worth and it's just not feasible. I hope everyone has a nice although hot weekend.I hope some of you will get a breather from this brutal heat and humidity soon.We will probably get a short reprieve by November but I'm getting used to staying inside more this summer.

Well the story on the car finally came through. I got an email from a delivery assistant manager apologizing that the ball was dropped. He informed me that the guy who was handling my delivery is no longer a Tesla employee. I take that to mean that sometime after we exchanged email ion Tuesday he either quit or was fired. They were ready to move heaven and earth to have the car ready for me at 11 today, but I felt that was too much of a rush for me. So they offered me a 9 AM appointment tomorrow which will work just fine. I had to go get a cashier's check instead of doing a bank transfer—otherwise I'd have had to wait until Monday or Tuesday. So all is well and tomorrow I'll be wheelin' in my new chariot. Sounds hot everywhere except in California where Audrey lives. I live here, too. Although it's been hot for me, I feel like a whimp compared to Audrey ( jamescat1 ) because they get REAL heat where she lives!

Quick check-in....SOOOO sorry borntexan, I know you are worried sick. That is just a lot for any one person to have to go through....prayers and hugs. 100gone, OMG, I am thinking about you, and hoping there are answers soon! thyme2 I think you are doing fantastically; staying the course is a fabulous plan. I'm so glad you're getting to *see* your dad. Sounds like so many challenges, I know the heat is taking it out of me. Take care all.

I look at it as a practical move. If the economy tanks, there are air mattresses that fit into the Tesla Model S. If I'm gonna be homeless, it'll at least be in style!

Although it's been hot for me, I feel like a whimp compared to Audrey ( jamescat1 ) because they get REAL heat where she lives! zazzles there is always some place hotter like Death Valley, an apropo name for that place It cooled her to 97 but will be back to 104-106 on Sunday. I got a nice letter from the PG&E customer care team telling me how they could help lower my energy costs. I could get new appliances, a pool pump or a better air conditioner. I sent them a response that I already have a brand new air conditioner and pool pump and the kitchen and laundry appliances are very new. We have dual pane windows and I never use AC at night. I turn it on when it is 83 inside and then put it down to 76-78. I also told them that my usage cannot be compared to that of my neighbors because they work all day. I am being discriminated against because I am elderly (only pull that card out when necessary) and retired. Did they want me to go to a cooling center.
