To use the Wendie Plan, pick any day for your Day 1. Then eat your points as follows:
Day 1: Daily pts +5 to 7 points Day 2: Daily pts + 1 point Day 3: Daily pts +15 to 20 points Day 4: Daily points only Day 5: Daily pts +4 to 5 points Day 6: Daily pts +2 points Day 7: Daily points only.
This will leave you with some of the 49 weekly points left. So if you go a little off any one given day, you'll still remain within all your points for the week. Wendy did not use her Activity points, but that decision is up to you.
To figure out your Wendie Plan points schedule, you can find a Wendie Calculator for all major WW plans here: www.wendie-plan.com/
OR, try varying points using the Maggie Plan:
Use all 49 WPA's in the first 3-4 days of your week, then stick to daily pts only for the last 3-4. There are a few rules with it, though--you MUST follow the Good Health Guidelines and eat good healthy food, and a glass of milk late afternoon/early evening is recommended.
We recommend weighing in after a low point day.
*Disclaimer: Not all of the members here currently follow the Wendie or Maggie Plan, although we have all followed it at some point during our weight loss journeys. While the alternation of higher and lower points can be helpful, the real magic on this thread is the ongoing support we give each other not only in the areas of food and activity, but in other issues we encounter each day. We are more than what we eat.

January goals:
Linda: Practice Tai Chi, avoid sweets, and take care of my elbow. Surfgirl: Track daily, cardio sessions of at least 60 min 5x/week, and check Beck thread daily. Chris: Eat more fruit, less sugar. Janice: Watch refined carbs. Tammy: Finish up main project at work, and do some presentations. Bible daily.

Tammy, if hi need to change your goal please let me know.
Janice, I am bracing for Jan. 20...
Linda & Chris, I hope 2017 will bring you both back here more often, our little group, small as it is, feels incomplete here without you two lovely ladies!

In our area, the kids were in school until 12/23 and they are not going back until January 9. So there.
Made it through most of the holidays a bit down from my weight just before Thanksgiving. But we celebrate with my sibs and our families this Saturday, so it's not over until it's over.

surfgirl, We're good. janicel4, LOL. Still on the antibiotic, and having an upswing. I usually struggle in Jan,Feb,Mar. So it's possible that I won't be in a good stable place until April. Sigh. Oh well, the secret is to continue to fight. I might not see the results for months, but to quit fighting is to lose.

surfgirl, It's been a few months since the last cortisone injection. I'm off antibiotics, but it can take a few days. And the cold weather definitely makes me hungry. Fruit!

Walked 7+ miles in the snow yesterday. They are asking us not to drive. There is not much snow, but it is slick, and it has been too cold to get out the snow plows. It will get colder tonight. We might have a work-from-home day tomorrow, which would be nice.

Wow Tammy, that's awesome! For some reason, I always love(d) walking in the snow, it doesn't seem so much like exercise, more like winter fun! Good for you lady!! Snow day for work, sounds perfect doesn't it?

surfgirl, Walking in the snow is more tiring, and being out in the cold tends to make a person hungry. Today, I ran mostly, although slower, and very judiciously. There is a lot of weaving to seek stable areas and avoid ice. Today I went to Harris-Teeter (grocery) and my dad's house, about 6 miles total. Last night, DS was talking about he was surprised how hungry he was, and I told him it was due to walking in the snow. Today, they finally plowed the main road that borders our neighborhood. Neighborhood roads are worse than yesterday, although there is clearing in some spots. But driving on this stuff tends to pack it down into solid ice.

Surfgirl, walking in the snow for winter fun is different than walking in the snow because it is a necessity. You can get a great workout in just a mile or two because of the weaving, finding stable areas, etc. Tammy, I'm guessing your area is not as well prepared for snow removal, road clearance and all because it is an infrequent need.
Tammy, pretty sure I would need more than fruit if I had walked 6 or 7 miles in the snow as you had done.

janicel4, I always have a meal or substantial snack (more than fruit) planned for after exercise. But if I am extra hungry, I usually try the fruit first, and if that doesn't work, I'll add some carbs and protein. But with getting my schedule out of the norm for Christmas and this snow event, I'm not eating as many f&v, and I need to remedy that. My digestive system needs more f&v to work properly.

janicel4 , Hi. Well, I had my 55th straight LT WI under goal for January. Although I was under 133 for a year, I always felt that might be a bit low. Since the cortisone shots, I've been under 134, and that is ok. I've been under 134 for several years now. Still might be struggling a little until April. That's just how winter goes for me. I've always thought of those as "the dark months" and I've always struggled with my weight during those months. According to Barbara Berkeley of "Refuse to Regain", this is common among those who have lost weight - struggling to maintain during the cold months.

I've been hanging around 138 which is maintainable for me. My clothes fit, I feel okay and I have bandwidth left to deal with other issues.
