Good morning
wwlurker, good for you staying away from daily scale. I'm terrible. I check every day it is such a bad habit. Hope you feel better soon. Summer colds stink!
Annette, I didn't like counting fruit either. I've always tried to keep it to 3 servings.
cj59, I have to work at the over eating in the evening also. I like checking in daily, just sometimes don't make it here. Helps me to stay a little more focused.
Dreary weather here today. Will hit the TM in a bit.

Hello Everyone sunrose - Hope you got your TM time in. I'm always glad when I've finished my walking I weighed-in this morning and had gained a little, but I'm not concerned because I had weighed myself a few days in a row last week and my weight was up and down every day. I'm still below my goal weight so I'm happy. I think this week I might try eating my Activity Points each day - something I usually never do - and saving my weekly points for some higher calorie foods. I need to do something to get back on a steady plan, since I've been feeling all over the place with my daily points used. I have been struggling to stay on track and not overeat. I've realized that I have some emotional issues that I really need to deal with because in the past I've used food so I didn't have to deal with them. I know I can't do that anymore, but it's so stressful wanting to eat all day so that I can "soothe" myself. I hope I can do some work on this so I don't have to continually fight these feelings. Hope everyone else is doing well and staying on track.

I'm having a terrible week this week 😣😣 I've used up all of my extra weekly points in 2 days and I'm over my daily points by quite a lot each day😣😣 I don't know what to do to stop going over and stay within my points. I feel like I gained this week and I'm so bummed 😣😣 Sigh

celticcapergirl, so sorry about your going over the points. I can relate. I've been so bad about tracking. Do you paper or phone track?
cj59, hang in there. I have done some emotional eating the past couple of days. Sounds like you have a good plan in place.
Waving to all and sending skinny vibes your way.
I have been really good with me steps, water, etc. The tracking just stinks. Today is another day.

I phone track but I think I'm going to start paper tracking too. In the past I found writing it all down was effective for me.

Hi everyone!
I had a post today which didn't go through.
I'm here and I'm working my way through my summer cold.
I've been eating too much and not exercising but I'm feeling a bit liberated after being on my plan for so long. It will all even out soon, I'm sure.

So I'm feeling defeated enough having a terrible week of gping way over my points. Then a girl I know who tried WW a few years ago tells me it's a total waste of time and money. WW never worked for her and she doesn't know of anybody who kept any weight off following WW😣😣😣 She told me about a keto sonething or other plan shes doing. She's lost 50 pounds since January. It's high protein low to no carbs She said lots of protein and veggies Anybody know anything about this plan ?

Good morning everyone! celticcapergirl - I'm sorry you're having a rough time. I have never done SP, so I can't really give any advice, but I would say that the person who told you it was a waste of time is wrong - there are plenty of people around here who have done WW and have been successful long term. I know a bit about keto - my old plan was loosely based on it (with more carbs though). Most plans will work if you stick to them to the letter but not all plans are livable long term. I would suggest that you stick with it and try to figure out what is prompting you to go over - is it the foods that you're eating? Are you being too strict and then bingeing? I am still plugging away. Today is supposed to be my WI day at my centre. It felt weird to skip it and I wanted to pop in and grab some food, but I didn't want to show up at my usual appointment time and not stay for it. I need to work on eating less sugar and incorporating more healthy foods. I had a great dinner last night but my snacking is out of control and I need to focus on more well-rounded meals. Exercise will have to wait until I'm feeling more human!

Hello Everyone sunrose - I'm glad to hear you are doing well with your steps and water. I think a lot of people deal with emotional eating, so I guess it will always be a work in progress. wwlurker - I hope you start feeling better soon. Hope you can get a handle on the snacking, it's a problem for me too. celticcapergirl - I haven't done any diets but WW for a long time. What I found the most helpful about WW was that it taught be accountability (tracking), portion control, and healthier eating (at least when they had the Good Health Guidelines). I think what wwlurker told you was very true - "most plans will work if you stick to them to the letter but not all plans are livable long term". I knew that I couldn't do Smart Points, since I like to have some sugary food pretty much each day and the points it would take for them would be tough. On the old WW plan that I'm on, I can have a treat every day and still stay on track/plan. Also I knew that this was a plan I could live with the rest of my life - since there is basically nothing I can't eat I just have to fit the higher point foods into my day/week. I also know that I'll have to write down what I eat every day for the rest of my life, I just can't trust myself not to. On the NewGDT proboards there is a thread about Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) and that sounds similar to the plan you're talking about, here's a link to it: newgdt.proboards.com/thread/23353/lchf-peopleI hope you can find the plan that works for you Annette - Hope you are doing well. I'm doing alright and sticking to my plan. I've been using my Activity Points each day, but then I find I'm not using my weekly points and I need to start using some of them so I don't have a large amount left at the end of the week. I'm concerned about eating too little on some days, which then causes me to overeat/binge on other days. It's just a lot of work to do this every day and keep on track

Good morning
Headed to a friends house for a few days.
celticcapergirl, WW has been in my family for over 45 years. My mom did it, my sister, brother-n-law, etc. I've tried other diet plans and yes I lost, but gained it back too because I am an emotional eater. What I like about WW is the way it can totally fit into your life style. You have to pick with works for you. Everyone is different. We are here for you what ever you decide to do.
cj59, thanks for sharing the link. I will also check it out when I get home.
wwlurker, hope the summer cold is getting better
Annette, hope you are doing well.
I'll see you ladies on Sunday

Good morning everyone! sunrose49 - have fun with your friend! cj59 - I find that I've been eating much less frequently since I stopped my plan. But, I'm still going overboard at times (like last night). Overall, I'm not sure if I'm eating more or less than I was. Trying not to worry about it too much just yet. annette & @celticcapergirl - hope you two are doing well. I need to get back to eating quality foods. I don't want to start eating a bunch of junk food just because I'm not going to my appointments. That's a bit of a struggle for me right now. Hope everyone has a great, OP day!

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today and on your plans sunrose - Hope you have an enjoyable visit with your friends. wwlurker - I wish you luck with food choices, I'm sure you learned a lot from being on that program and hopefully that will help you going forward. I'm doing pretty well today. I have my food planned out. I used some weekly points yesterday but have some saved for the weekend when I'll be eating out for one meal. I do feel like I'm eating too much sugar each day so I need to spend some time thinking about my meal plans and maybe cutting back on it. Take care everyone!

sunrose49, cj59, celticcapergirl, wwlurker,hi. I'm curious. Which WW plan are each of you on? I'm like a human pin ball. Bouncing back and forth. CJ knows this about me from another board. Right now I'm doing SPs. I really enjoy protein and have a carb at almost each meal. I lost five lbs last week but I'm not sure my scale is accurate. I hope I keep losing because I get plenty of good food on SPs. I do count two points for fruit daily. Have a great evening. Thanks for thinking of me.

Good morning! annette - I'm not doing any plan right now. In the past, I had success with Momentum. I had less success with PP and I tried SP for a couple of weeks and hated it. Most recently, I did another plan by a local company where I live. It was super healthy, but I found it very difficult to stick to, and it didn't address my food issues at all. Right now I'm taking a break from plans, although for the past couple of days I've been counting calories on MFP out of curiosity. Both days were very high. cj59 - sugar is definitely a problem for me lately. It's so hard to cut back once you get used to having it! Today I have two catered meals, so I expect it will be another high calorie day. I'm working on monitoring what I'm eating and watching for places where I struggle or can make small changes. For example, last night I had a great dinner, but ate my kids leftovers, which added about 300 calories to the meal which were unnecessary. I also had a DQ Blizzard and had the small size instead of the mini, which was about another 300 extra calories. Small things like that make a huge difference. I'm starting to feel a bit better. I should be ok to do some light exercise next week. Hope everyone has a great, OP day!
