Good Morning! Up and at'em early this morning! I've been awake since 3:15am. I rolled over to have DH in the middle and Rosie on his pillow. He was making me hotter then I already was.
I figured since this will be the first day back for a lot of us that we needed a Terrific Tuesday! Because its going to be a busy, busy day!
I know it will be for me.Yesterday I did my Metabolic effect workout. My knee wasn't too happy and started to swell but it felt good to move. I don't remember is it is supposed to rain or not today but i would like to go for a walk during lunch. I plan to park on the 3rd level of the parking garage so I have to take the stairs. My first goal is to make it up those, they are steep or something, with out being out of breath and my knee hurting. My shoulders and legs are soar but its a good soar. I will fit it in on Wednesday for WO #2. Its only 15 minutes. I laid on the bed for the floor exercises that just the way I have to do it right now.
DH weighed this morning and he is down 10 lbs in the last week! That is how sick he has been. He still isn't eating like he usually does. I told him this is NOT the way to loose weight. Me? I'm down 1 lb. I'll take it though.

Today the new girl will be there and Jenny (the one they fired) won't. It will be a very different atmosphere in the whole office without her there. On a purely selfish note, I hope Bryana has time and remembers to switch out the monitors. My are going and fading so I'm kind of excited to be big, LED, bright monitors.
Lisa, the WO felt so good and yes it did help me with my stress. This WO is only 15 min. also. Sorry DD is having such a hard time. I hope she takes you up on your offer to get her credit straightened out. Sadly bankruptcy is sometimes the only option. I hope she can find the help she needs. Great idea to start a gratitude journal. I need to pull mine out and start writing in it again. I agree, let DD and DB the caregiver make the decisions DB will come to you if he need advise.
Gabrielle, snow? wow! yes its been raining for 2-3 days here. Kind of tired of it actually. But getting up to the 60s the next 2 days then back down to the 30s and a chance of snow/mix. California weather is crazy too. DH needs to get to the Dr.s a cough lasting that long isn't good. Sorry you are getting the brunt of his moods due to not feeling well. It drives me crazy when Steve will complain about being sick but won't do anything about it. I tell him that also. I hope he gets checked out. It could lead to something serious. Steven ended up not going to it worked out. I have talked to hime but its been a while, maybe time to again. Yes I try to carry on the traditions of my family. My sisters don't have to because they have my Mum to still make everything. Although they were all there helping out with the Kaluskis making them while she was talking to me. I haven't listened to her "training sessions" yet the first one is today. I have listened to the "course podcast" she had and I really like them. Today is the first one of the year and she asked in the FB group if I had any questions to post them and she will address them today on the call. Nice personal touch there.

Good morning Jo... YAY to a TERRIFIC TUESDAY AHEAD!!!
Sorry you didn't sleep well - neither did I... thought the whirlpool bath would "help" but apparently it did not! Actually went to bed feeling the start of a head cold coming on... you know the kind of scratchy throat... plugged ears, post nasal drip...Ugggghhhh... guess 3 days with Eden wasn't "healthy" for me!!
Sue: We didn't go anywhere last night - DH went on an ambulance call, so while he was gone I got the dishes done, more laundry done - the tub scrubbed... and laundry folded.. he was just getting home as I was filling the tub for a soak...I actually wasn't hungry, and I am not sure what he had... but turkey leftovers tonight, for sure!!
Shelly: I hear y a'... it IS nice to enjoy your job - but it isn't strange AT ALL that we look forward to retirement either...hopefully when you retire you can spend the holidays visiting all the kids!

Sue, yes taking the cut in pay has to hurt. Sounds like you got it all figured out though. This is the first year we paid for Christmas with cash. I liked it! I haven't gotten my nails done in a long time. I taught myself to do them even the french manicure I like. I use the "gell" nail polish, it doesn't last as long as getting them done but longer then regular. Its my pampering for myself to do my own nails. I've gotten pretty good if I do say so myself. Taking that cut from the STD but nice to have that to fall back on. Enjoy your swim this evening.
Damn! I forgot to make my egg cups and muffins. maybe tonight I'll be able to make one of them. We will be having left overs of the pork and stuff.
Its rain, rain and more rain here then by Friday cold!
Carole, loved the pictures on Fb of Eden and the snow. LOL sounds like Grandma got a WO shoveling all that snow. How did the rest of your day go?
Christine, sounds like you needed that rest yesterday. Wow to your Mum's other knee. Oh did I tell you when I talked to my Mum my sisters were cooking the Kaluskis. She said they ran out of flour. She said I knew I needed that flour you took for something.....She uses a Durum flour to make the pirogies. They are so much better that way, I talked her into taking the rest of the tub because i can't find it down here. My Sister gets it for her in the Strip district in PGH. I told her "you don't make kaluskis out of Duram flour" OMG my sister said they told her the same thing. She said my Mum was trying to blame everyone and it was sad. makes me sad.

So, my Monday didn't pan out to well... maybe I felt this head cold coming on earlier - just wouldn't admit it? I know I felt pretty lazy all day yesterday...drank a lot of tea... didn't eat... but didn't track... TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF MY NEW YEAR - I guess! LOL
I will listen to Heather's podcast on my drive to work... might be able to attend the webinar tonight... not sure how I will feel by then, so maybe not...DH & DD have meetings to attend tonight, so home alone - I may just say to heck with it and go to bed!
Jo: I will "join you" in climbing stairs today - I will walk away from my desk every hour, and go 2 flights down and 2 flights back up!
So yesterday I received a "reminder" of blood work tomorrow morning! Ugghhh.... WHY did I schedule it THIS WEEK??!?? My annual check up is MONDAY... then colonoscopy Friday! YIKES! I didn't realize when I was making my colonoscopy appointment it was the same week as my check up... AND Debbie is on vacation next week... ALREADY... OY VEY!!
Oh well, when I reminded Amanda I was out Friday (during Debbie's vacation) she said yes she remembered and is doing her work that day!

Jo: YAY for being so committed with your new program, and your WO routines...good luck on the new monitors... they DO make a difference!
LOL Yes, I did the shoveling... we were only out about 30-40 minutes... but I was MOVING... HA The rest of the day was pretty laid back!! Until evening... when somewhere I got a BURST and got a LOT done in a coupe of hours... while DH was gone...
OK TIme to flip the last load of laundry... and figure out my day ahead... want to pre-track the day... oh and pay a bill due Friday...must get on that today! Oh yes also have to "register" for JURY DUTY in April... ugghhhh... the only GOOD part is by then the courthouse renovations should be DONE and they should be BACK on Main Street, across the street from where I work... so no parking issues when I have to report!
Make it a TERRIFIC TUESDAY Ladies... back to the grind... back to the routines... LIFE IS GOOD! ♥hugs♥

Good morning! Yep, back to the crazy office with a vengence. A lot of responsibilities falling onto my desk somehow....oh well, one thing at a time is how I choose to handle it. I was reading last night and somewhere I read that we should always do the hardest thing of the day first so that we don't let it "float around in our head" and distract us the rest of the day. I am going to take things on like that---get the harder things out of the way! Planning to spin tonight and thought I would run on the TM a bit this morning. Somehow though, the volume on my alarm was at zero so, amazingly, I still woke up but not early enough to get a run it. It's okay--still spinning tonight and will run tomorrow. Had an okay day yesterday but ate TWO pieces of See's candy...what??? Anyway, now all of the candy is GONE. Feeling okay about most of my eating during the challenges of the holidays. Better than in the past! Sounds like a lot of us are in this place. It's a good place! Now to get better at my tracking (like our rock stars Carole and Sue). I WILL today! Already started, as a matter of a fact. Carole: How great that you and Zoe could see the lights from the warmth of your house! Now that is MY way of seeing something like that. Nice that Eden could see it in person though. Glad that you didn't have to deal with going out for a meal---no fun when you are not looking forward to it. How nice of Neige to text you! It sounds like she really did respect what you had to say Even if she couldn't effectively change it. When you said that the response to you not getting things done at work was, "We have 10 days to get it done." made me realize that there might be a number of things that you have taken on and felt responsible for when others might not have the same work ethic as you....are you thinking about that too? This could be life-changing! Maybe you CAN let some of these pressures go??? How great would that be for you! I don't recall...when are the owners of the store supposed to talk to DH? I'm sure that it might be soon. Your anniversary celebration sounds so fun! And to have your family there with you--sounds like exactly what you would want! What a fun thing to look forward to! Yep, my DH is already mapping out the path he would take to drive to FL....he loves long trips like that. Once I retire, I am looking forward to a lot of the trip being "getting there" and the stops along the way. For now, I try to maximize my time at the final destination....can't wait for retirement! We could even drive to NC to visit my friend Carole

Good afternoon all. Eating a salad so thought I would catch up a little bit.
Jo sorry you woke up early today Good job getting your WO in. My trainer said yesterday morning was crazy at the gym. By the time I went for my WO it had cleared out. I'm sure there was plenty there yesterday evening. I went back n for my second WO today at noon. Will get 3rd on in Thursday. I train 3 days a week. Well I got up to freezing drizzle this morning and wasn't expecting it. Of course didn't park my car under cover 😬. And as usual was running late and the wind was kicking it this morning. Made it to work right at 6. I hate it when I do that. Wow DH lost 10lbs. I never lose that much when I'm sick.
How was first day with new girl today. Hope all went well. I am sure it will be a lot different for a little while until everyone gets comfortable with her.

Sue: Enjoy your swim tonight! I'm sure that it will feel good to get in the pool and to have some routines back in place. You have done such a great job planning for your surgery--it will be nice to have the calm time to recuperate and recover. I remember after my surgery having to wait a while before being able to get into pools (especially hot tubs or spas) while the incision healed. I'm sure that you have accumulated a list of questions. We are the same way with leftovers---usually one night. DH will eat them for lunch too (since he is on the Ranch, he eats lunch at home). Yep, I was reaching the end of my rope with DH and his coughing/not doing what he needed to about it. He definitely turned a corner last night and seems to be getting better....hopefully he will stay backed off of running for a few more days and let his body heal--our marriage depends on it, LOL (just kidding). Love the picture of you and Colton by the way!

Wait....maybe that's not Colton! I am in denial about how old the boys are getting!!
Jo: Good for you for seeing the scale drop 1#! I know that DH has lost a lot, but it's the kind of weight that usually comes right back once he is back to feeling okay. I hope that things are going well with your new coworker--in offices that are not huge, one person is a significant change. Yowza about your mom and the flour....glad that your sisters have your back. It sounds like you all might be dealing with some of those things that come along as our parent's age. I'm sure that it is hard on you when you can't be right there, but hoping that you can count on your sisters to support you and to keep you in the loop. I think that it's great that your kids still have some of those traditional foods that you grew up with. Good for you for getting in your workouts! It sounds like this new program will be a nice change for you!
Lisa: Are you back to work today? Hoping that it is going well and that your DD is finding some new possible opportunities for employment. Wow, you have a lot going on right now--any news from the church about the wedding? Hang in there, my friend!
Christine: So are the kids and all back today? Around here a lot of schools have this week off too. It's a mixed bag. Hoping that your new office is working out well and that the Prince left you an amazing gift basket to thank you for all that you do:)
Hello to Nadine, Jenny, and all that follow. I need to get a move on with a few things. Plan to not have a lunch break, but will take 15 min or so around 3 to walk and get a cup of coffee. It's just one of those days! Tomorrow is in Sacramento and will have to leave at 6 am ....uggh. Oh well, I will listen to podcasts! Okay, I will try to check in later.

Carole sorry you are starting to get sick too. Hope it doesn't last. Well nothing like getting all your appointments at once. Good luck.
Way to get some extra WO in with the shoveling of snow. I'm sure that burned some calories. Oh I thought when I got home I was going to do some house work but that didn't last. Set my hinny down and didn't do a thing. Thawed out some green chili Stew and had that for supper.
Sue my fly-bye has me around the same I think. Need to go back and check to be exact. Ugh I want to see the scales move in a downward direction.
Gabrielle sounds like a good plan to do the hardest thing first. Hope you can make it to spin class tonight. 2 pieces of candy is not going to set you back. You will burn that right off. I feel like I did really well during the holiday. Maintained where I have been and didn't gain. Always good right?
Back to work. Hoping to get out before 5 today. Catch up later
