Good morning. Chugging coffee.
an update on Ollie: took him to the emergency clinic late yesterday morning even though he seemed a little better. They couldn't find anything wrong without doing blood work & xrays. Now, my fur babies have always come first but when they told me what the charges would be I almost fainted. They did admit it was much cheaper to have it done by his own vet. By my calculations, they were charging 3x more. They did give him an antibiotic, anti nausea meds and hydrated him. So far so good. I'll keep my eye on him & bring him to the vet if necessary. It was so heartbreaking at that clinic. So many people came out of the examining rooms in tears carrying little caskets for burial. I almost bolted before we even got in a room.
cool & overcast this morning with rain in the forecast. Grocery shopping & maybe Target are on the agenda for this morning.
have a good one.

Oh, Sulli! We were one of those families, a while back, for our Kawasaki kitty. She was fine until she wasn't, and it wasn't fixable (and our emergency clinic's well-respected as being wonderworkers).
Sending good thoughts that your vet will help you solve Oliver Twisted's mystery...
I'm IN.
I'm also back at the DayJob <bleckh> <meh> <sigh> <oy>.
Have a healthy-eating day, all!

We're home after our lovely weekend, scale was true, and I'm enjoying a day of quiet. The best news of the day is that it is my 12 year cancer anniversary, so feeling very blessed. @ sullicat1, Our vets office has a candle lit when an animal is being put down...last time I was there, for the first time I saw one of the sad families. You're right, it's completely overwhelming. diva49 Hang in there! Waving to all!

Good morning all. sullicat1, I'm happy that Ollie is doing ok but I'm sorry you had to go the clinic. I've had to bring cats to the nearest ER and it can be truly heartbreaking. Just a typical work day today. I didn't sleep well last night - I think it was the Game of Thrones episode that kept me up! Hope everyone has a good day.

ksbruns, Happy Anniversary, Kathy! I know how that feels. I'm celebrating 8 years in remission and I feel grateful every day. Glad the trip was fun. I finished my 2 mile walk, came home and was getting ready to go to Body Pump when the rains came. I decided to stay home and enjoy the scenery and I will do some weights at home. sullicat1, I hope Ollie feels better. I've been to one of the emergency rooms and they have heartbreaking scenes. Don't think I could work at one. Hope everyone has a great Monday!

sullicat1,-I'm sorry to hear Olli is having a rough time. Sending out healing vibes for him and hugs to you ksbruns, linda72,-Congrats on your anniversaries ladies. Rough weekend, but I'm home. We went up to clean out MIL house and I think we were jinxed from the minute we left. DH work phone kept going off, had bad weather getting up there. We got into a huge fight- I basically came unglued and let loose all the resentment I had been holding in. Then a very long trip back with construction and traffic delays. We made up, basically because I apologized. He's not real good at apologies. But we did get to go to church and brunch with my niece and her parents. That was nice. Tomorrow is my first day of in-service- so that means school's back in session full time. In some ways I'm not ready, in other ways I'm ready for a regular schedule.

Just a typical work day today. I didn't sleep well last night - I think it was the Game of Thrones episode that kept me up! LOL 100 - fire-breathing dragons will do that! Loved the cave drawings. Just a great episode all around. Only 2 left?! Big day Kathy - what a wonderful anniversary ksbruns , and Linda too - a double blessing linda72 , so grateful for both of you. sullicat1 , I'm so glad Oliver is feeling a bit better. It really does bring it home for me. Sending my own healing vibes your way Its been raining all day. Normally there's never any green lawns in August (except CC golf courses). This summer's been unusually wet. Cue Twilight Zone theme.......

Kathy & Linda, you brought tears to my eyes. Congrats on your anniversaries. Your families & friends (including virtual friends) are blessed to have you.
Thanks for all the well wishes for OT. He's definitely not himself but at least isn't getting sick all over the place. We'll see how it goes.

Checking in... After reading all the above, I won't be serving any whine...my troubles are minor today! sullicat1 Hoping for the best for your fur baby-- sorry it's hitting your pocketbook so hard! ksbruns Congratulations on a wonderful anniversary! and glad the scale is true too! Your vacay sounded like fun. linda72, Congrats on 8 years of remission! {{hugs}} hpeterson1951, and then some more BIG {{HUGS}} Rather wet and drizzly here---got Ai Chi and water aerobics in at the pool as well as 30 minutes of track walk. Yesterday was such a lovely low humidity day that we drove to Ocean City and enjoyed walking the Boardwalk. My sciatica hated the car ride but loved the walking! Over 16,000 steps. Come on scale---this gal really is trying! LOL

fire-breathing dragons will do that! Loved the cave drawings. Just a great episode all around. Only 2 left?! haha, not to mention the last few seconds. My jaw dropped! The pace has really picked up now that's it's coming to an end. I think there are 3 more episodes and then we have to wait another year for the final season!
