I know no one is ready for winter yet but I love this article, especially if the outlook for Texas is highs of 85-90. Cooler August Temps

I am not a sun/heat/humidity person. Summer is my least favorite season. Bring on the cool weather ! I am thrilled the article says the cool weather forecast is for the East coast.

since we never really get "cold" weather in los angeles, it's not really that much of an issue, but i actually get really sad when the heat subsides. i like 80 degree weather. of course, this summer it's been blazing hot (seems to average 93-98 here in my area of town). but chilly weather is not my thing.

I don't like the chill or the cold and I don't like extreme heat or humidity either. Does that make me a malcontent🙄? I like the fall but there's plenty of summer left, I hope. I don't like the shorter days which is part of the reason why I hate winter.

Please extend those cool temperatures throughout August please? We are hosting my husband's Army reunion in Philadelphia Aug25-28 and really, really, really need comfortable weather. Pretty please? (One of the dudes--from Reno--asked if we could have a hurricane just for him! I'd like to strangle him! When we held the Reunion in San Antonio a few years back Corpus Christi WAS hit by a hurricane! He better not jinx us!)

As I've gotten older, my "comfortable" range of temperatures has tightened. Now, an ideal day for me is 55-72. Cool enough for a cute sweater thrown over my shoulders and warm enough to enjoy being outside. Those days don't happen often enough in Houston. I'm being picky, I know. pbnj, I never hope for a hurricane. Been through too many of those!

I used to live in San Diego near the ocean where it was always 68-72.

I can tolerate 80° to 85° but prefer cooler. Being a San Francisco boy, I'm used to cold and 70 there is a heatwave (at least in the neighborhood I grew up).
On our hottest days here in Silicon Valley I've "commuted" up to Pacifica (south of San Francisco) for some fog. The weather there never fails me!
finreporter, the coldest winter I ever spent was a December at DisneyLand. It was a freak year where the temps dropped into the mid 40s to mid 50s with lots of humidity. Froze our arses off. At Paramount Studios the cold wind was whiping around so much we all had to buy "themed" sweatshirts at high prices just to be even moderately warm.

I'm in Northeast part of the country.. it's 76 today, near perfect. We had lots of 90s in July, whew. I'm happy for the drop in temps.
Fall is coming, I love the crisp air, hoodies, Halloween and pumpkin everything.
Not a winter fan, last 2 were mild but we have had some doozies. We've had snowstorms that dump several feet of snow over night, back to back snow storms, temps that are well below zero. Coldest I remember was in the -20's. We've hit that many times. It's so cold it makes your lungs hurt when you breathe it in. Also freezes your nostrils. Kids will go oUT and spray water and watch it freeze in mid air.
Ugh nope, not looking forward to it at all.

We went from 80 one day to 55 the next. It has rained all day long.
I like fall, cool but not very cold, colorful leaves.
I really don't do well with winter. I live in Central PA and I can't handle cold or snow. Although we don't get the snow we used to when I lived in Northwest PA or in Buffalo. That was some serious snow. But we get ice storms.
I will start wearing cuddle duds under my clothes to school in October and won't stop until early April. I just get SO cold

I used to live in San Diego near the ocean where it was always 68-72. Audrey I did a search awhile back when thinking about the future and where I might like to live based on ideal weather. San Diego (for exactly that 68-72 consistency) was rated number one. I visited there many years back - it was really beautiful.

LOL. When I bought my 1961 house, I was able to deal with the heat and cold coming through the window frames—it was the spiders that got to me!

Give me 90 degree weather ANY DAY! I mean, I don't mind this nice 70 degrees we've been having and it's been nice to sleep with the windows open, but I want my summer back!!
Winter and I are NOT friends. I dislike the snow, blowing, freezing temps. BLAH!
