Good morning.
Just got back from the opthomologist and my 👁 are good. Of course, everything's blurry at the moment so I'm hanging out at home this morning.
A gorgeous morning weather wise.
So, yesterday I stopped at a produce farm to get a couple of home grown tomatoes (they don't spray). My tongue has been hanging out for a tomato sandwich on squishy white bread. I was so disappointed, the tomato was just not that great. I have 2 others & im hoping they're better. I look forward to these tomatoes all year so it was a real letdown.
Anyway, things are quite blurry so I'll BBL.

Good morning all. sullicat1, sorry about your tomato. I hope the others are better. I got my weekly CSA newsletter yesterday and they said that this year's tomato crop is being affected by some kind of blight. So I hope we get tomatoes - I really look forward to them. Last year we got very few because we had a drought. Typical work day today. It's supposed to be nice and sunny so I'll see if I make it outside. This stupid lightheadedness has kept me inside all day for the past couple of weeks. My fitbit counts are pitiful. Hope everyone has a good day! |

sullicat1, I'm sorry your tomato was a disappointment. What has happened to them; they just don't have the great flavor I remember. I grew some for 2 or 3 years and while they tasted good, they just cost me too much to get them. I'm off to WW for my weekly meeting and then to Costco. I weighed in for August last Saturday so I'm set for the month!

Linda, yes there was no real flavor. Looked beautiful inside. I'll try another one today. It reminded me of the ones we get toward the end of the summer. Maybe this wacky weather we've had this summer has affected them.

I was off Monday and Tuesday, very busy, thought I would have time to post! At the clinic today, 3 more days left. I worked Friday at the Child Cancer Fund and told my boss how much fun it was to come in and 10ish and have no stress.

sullicat1, hope you get one good-tasting tomato out of the bunch. I got some at the farmer's market last weekend that looged good and were ripe, but like yours the flavor just isn't there. lmenglish, 3-2-1...wow—soon, very soon. Hang in there. Temps seem to be cooling down here ahead of Autumn. Cool and overcast in the mornings and highs capped in the low 80s. Pleasant. Nothing planned for the day, but I have a foundation board social tonight. We will be experiencing virtual reality on equipment the library got from AMD and another company as part of being a trial site. Everyone I know who has tried it is wowed by the experience. I'm looking forward to it—and just hope I don't trip over some virtual object and fall!  I wish everyone a fabulous day.

DebDoesWW,Send your rain to us.We got 2" Monday and not expecting anymore.A whopping 10% chance for rain today and a high of 96.Some "cold" front we missed somewhere.May be 100 one day before the w/e. sullicat1,We planted celebrity and cherry tomatoes and the ones that produced had really good flavor but the heat and drought has got to them now. 100gone,I hope you feel better soon. I walked this morning.We are planning to go to the noon buffet in Taylor.I need a few things that their WM has that ours doesn't carry plus see if I can find some decent romaine.Our Elgin HEB is out of my favorite kind and what I bought made me nauseous last night.Not eating more of that.My left knee and leg is still messed up when I walk on our paved country road but not so bad when walking slower in the house so go figure. Have a great one all!
