Good Morning! Up and at'em early again this morning. DH got up too again. So I did my Metabolic Affect WO in the bedroom. Feels good to get it done! I just feel good and I have to remember this feeling. Still sore from Monday and even more sore now. I have to modify some of the exercises. I'm not getting on the floor. I get on my bed to do the floor exercises. I still sweat so I figure its ok. My knee is reeling from this so I figure I will be able to get on the floor eventually.
Yesterday was busy. Complicated stuff all day. I was just tired when I got home. We had left overs so at least I didn't have to cook dinner. STILL have left overs. Will have to figure something out for them.
During lunch yesterday Cookie Rosenbalm had her weekly coaching call. I had posted some questions to her and she addressed them and talked about motivation. I listened but didn't talk since I was at work. It was really informative. Good information there.
DH is still not 100% not eating like he used to. I think the antibiotics may be affecting his stomach.
need to read yesterdays and catch up

Good morning Jo... Not sure how much of a day I will have today... feel like my "head cold" may actually be strep? My throat is literally "throbbing"... been a long night of fitful sleep... going to town for my blood work today, but then might just come back home... I'll decide after I can shower and have coffee! LOL No one ever told me but I assume this is "fasting" bloodwork - so haven't made coffee for the morning... sipping water though, hope that's OK...it helps the throat - but messes with my stomach! OY VEY!
Will try to catch up...

Sue: I have every confidence you will shed that fly by before tomorrow WI... just a couple days "back on track" and it will be history!!
I was surprised... my fly by yesterday has me DOWN 1.2# from December 2! HOW???
Yay for getting back to the pool!
Gabrielle: YES! That would be an awesome way to get through the stuff in the "IN'Box... I will give it a try today! YAY the candy is GONE!! LOL
Yes, I do "know" we have 10 days on these claims... but Kaitlin still has a way of making me feel guilty if she comes back to them, because she will get "more" on her first day back... she did it today!
Gotta LOL... I did actually... I walked in, said Good Morning, Deb and Debbie both replied, Kaitlin DID NOT... I seriously SMH and smiled... then we were all in the middle of the room - another gals DH was in a bad accident last week, so she was telling us about him... and yes of course, Kaitlin had to "announce" she was "overwhelmed with my workload when I came in today"... I looked at her and said..."aren't we all?"
Then I also "announced" you may not have realized but I TOOK one of the claims out of your overhead... long story - easier to just do it myself" and all she said was "Oh OK"... nope, no thank you from that one...
Anyway... just SMH and moved along!!
OH! I forgot to tell you all.. yes the former store owners came by Sunday... while it wan't what I "thought" it was going to be... it's a nice "bonus" that was given "as a gift" out of their personal account... so no need to worry about the taxes! It is actually "enough" so we think they figured what the taxes would be on the original amount, and kept that out - since they gifted it - they can't claim it as payroll on their end either, so WIN - WIN for all??
While we will not pay the FULL amount for the family to join us at Disney - we WILL be helping them with the trip... now that we have that... and GOOD TIMING on buying new furniture! LOL!!

Sue, glad you enjoyed your swim last night. My arms and legs are feeling like lead now too. Yes I have 2 monitors and she did get them switched out. They are hugh compared to my old ones! Wow look like little tvs. I love having two monitors. I really don't think we could do our job without them. Had pork last night and for lunch today too. I was planning on making the chicken burrito bowl in the crockpot one day this week.
Carole, wow to all the Drs apps. this week. Good luck with them all! Good to get them done and over with. Hope you get to feeling better. We dot' have steps at our building, well not ones you would want to take on a regular basis just a fire exit. So my steps are at the parking garage. But I really do need to get up and walk around even to the bathroom more. I get so sore just sitting at my desk.I need to go back and read bout Neige texting you. Hopefully that was a good thing.
Gabrielle, the new girl start today. It was a different kind of office yesrterday. We will see how today goes. I was really too busy to socialize. Hope you get the work done you want to. I try to prioritize too You have to or things get so out of control. You are driving to Florida? that will be a long trip. Where in FL are you going? i thought of you when I was talking myself into getting up and doing the WO this morning.
Jenny, hope you feel better. Its no fun learning something new when you are sick.
Christine how are you and how is that knee feeling?
Shelly, 2 work outs in one day? You go girl! I bet the gym was packed. I had a fleeting thought of joining one here but didn't want to be one of those people that join after the new year then don't gain 2 month. Think I stick with my WOs. You are doing great t hough.
well need to get moving.

Shelly: How good that you are keeping up with your WOs during lunch... YUCK to freezing drizzle!
Gabrielle: LOL I was thinking, that's not Colton!!
Shelly: NOT sure I should be going for blood work today - thinking maybe I shouldn't leave the house!! But I will go... maybe they can run a test to see what I have! LOL
YAY for maintaining over the holiday!!
Jenny: Booo, sorry you are still sick...hope you dress warm, and enjoy hot soup and tea all day!
Sue: Ahhhh, a "good sore" did you hit the hot tub at all last night too?? Poor Josh! Where is he working? Right, Rita is back... everyone is back... do your own thing... makes for a nice day??
Yes, surprisingly Eden had another runny nose, ear infection, wicked cough... I mean she only goes to church/Sunday school one day a week and the library one day... HOW does she manage to "catch" so many colds?? I am guessing by being held up in the house (at home) so much her immune system isn't as strong as it should/could be?
I have the two monitors at work too... it saves a LOT of time for most of my verifications I do!!!
Lisa: {{{{{hugs}}}}} one of my closest friends did Chapter 7 years ago - best move she could have made... for her at the time...

Skipping the pool tonight, will go back tomorrow...I can barely lift my arms right now....will do some good stretching tonight at home to keep things moving!

Carole...hope you cold is short lived and it's not strep!!! Keep us posted!

Good afternoon! I am going to help Kim start forms this afternoon. She has an interview and I am taking her dog to the vet for ear infection. I think she did her own taxes on TurboTax a couple of years ago and doesn't have a copy. :-(
Other than that OP so far. Need to update journal.
Jo-thanks for starting us off.
Gabrielle- sounds like a good lunch!
Christine-we are in line for some snow too but not much.. Just really cold!
Carole-sorry about sore throat...Hot tea with lemon and honey is what I would suggest.
OK I have to get some coffee and then get Aspen in the car. Try to bbl!

Evening all....the winter winds have begun to blow and the temps are dropping quickly!! Saturday the high is to be 24° with overnight low of 11° and 20mph winds! UGH! Have I mentioned I hate winter!!
Shelly...how are the legs today!! I can barely lift my arms today!! But I keep reminding myself that's a good thing!! I'm the same as you...usually 24-36 hours after a workout I feel the soreness...I could tell that since my arms felt heavy last night it would be a sore evening!! Jason has been a Cardinal fan since he was a kid...that was my DFIL team too!!! Share the lemon garlic chicken recipe...sounds yummy!!!
Speaking of supper...my crockpot concoction is yummy!!! Added a can of cream corn to it when I got home to help thicken the broth....put it in the recipe builder and it's 253 calories per cup with lots of fiber and protein!! Will be a good hearty lunch tomorrow & Friday!! Add my raw veggie tray that I bring along each day and it will be great!!
Lisa...glad you are there to help DD through the process of bankruptcy...I'm sure she's glad she's not alone! Fingers crossed her job interview goes well tomorrow! What type of job is it??

JO...what exactly is a Metabolic Affect WO?? Good idea to do it on the bed and not the floor....getting up off the floor is tough on knees!! How great that Cookie answered some of your questions!! If you get any tidbits we could all use...please share!! I know for me, often motivation is the tough part! I go great for a while then "life happens" and my motivation can get side-lined!! You might be right about the antibiotics messing with Steve's stomach...some do that to me!! How much longer is he on them?? Maybe then he will get his appetite back and be on the mend!
Carole...I hope you are right about the fly-by being gone, but I'm going to try not to dwell on it either way!! I know in the past that when I get "back on track" my system sometimes doesn't respond as quickly as I hope it would....one good day at a time and I'll get to my final goal!!
Don't question why the scale is down Carole...just goes to show that you had a VERY successful December when it came to food, drink and planning....keep up the good work, my friend!!
Oh my...Kaitlin really is a piece of work...if you have 10 days to get the claims done, they would NOT be a priority for me to get them done while covering for her!! She sounds a bit ungrateful for the work you do cover but then again, I'm not surprised....she thinks she above everyone and she is the princess that all should bow to!!
WOW Carole...that is awesome that Ken's former boss gave the bonus as a "gift"!! No taxes on it will definitely be great!!! Glad you don't have to worry about the new furniture purchase now and you have a jumpstart on Disney!!
I will say, you guys are braver than me...I will NEVER bring a child younger than 5-6 years old to Disney!! Sarah worked there for an internship several years ago so we had gone often...I watched parents with small kids struggle...nope, not my cup of tea!!! When the boys don't need naps, don't need strollers, can ride things...then we will go!!! I am not as brave as you!!!

Jo...glad you got the new monitor! Yes, two monitors is so much easier for me!!! I was enjoying that today when I finished up on report for December and had to redo the report for 2017....so much easier when you can have both versions open at the same time! Yes Jo...I get up and "walk the loop" if I don't already have a stack of stuff that needs to be delivered around the building...if I don't get up every hour, my knee locks up and I can barely move.... I'm sure it will take the new girl and all of you a while to get in a good groove and routine!!
Of course Carole...the hot tub is my reward for working out!! Always hit that for about 5 minutes or so, just to stretch a little and get good and warm!! Josh delivers food for Performance Foods...since he delivers to schools & restaurants...there is no day off!! He gets paid very well so it's OK but it is frustrating! That's why Sarah came down with us on Thanksgiving day and Josh had to join us on Friday after he got out of work!! He worked until about 2:30pm and drove down after that!!
You might be right Carole about Eden...she is not exposed to "enough germs" to build up a resistance....I know my niece and nephew that are home schooled are always sick....our bodies are a wonderful thing, it takes care of us but if we are not exposed to stuff to gain a resistance....we get sick!! I remember that every time the girls changed schools (preschool to elementary to middle school) they were exposed to new children, new germs and we had a few "sickly months" until their systems adjusted! I was lucky...I think Hannah was on antibiotics twice and Sarah the same....between the two of them, I don't think they missed more than 10-12 days of school in 13 years for being sick!!! So far the boys are the same!!

Christine...glad you got the report done but bummer you were late for work!! Hope the snows didn't make driving too bad of a drive home tonight!! Tuna sounds yummy!! Jason hates it so I rarely have it!! Hope you pampered the knee a bit today so you don't make it worse on your 1st day back!
Lisa...if Kim did her taxes on Turbo tax, she can go on the site and print out a copy of past tax returns. I had to do that once....I forget what dropdown menu I followed, but she can get to them if she needs them!
Want to call DB David tonight...today is my DN Sam's 17th birthday...tomorrow DN Chris turns 14! My DS Kris's birthday is also tomorrow....
Waves to all I missed....hope you had a great day!
