Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning all,
Ruth- while I miss my tree and decorations, I'm glad they are all packed away. You had a busy day.
Dottie - I wish I could do water activity. Unfortunately I have skin allergies when it comes to chlorine. Sounds like fun.
Cathy - nice to hear about John's improvement. Definitely alone day at a time process.
Looks like our run of nice weather is coming to an end. We've had cold days followed by a brief warmup pattern for the last month or more. There is no snow on the ground, but that changes starting today. Snow and cold in the forecast every day for the next week, no warmup at the end of that. I guess winter is finally here and is planning to stay this time.
Nothing planned for today. Amvets pickup is tomorrow, so I'll bring the stuff I have ready to go so I can put it outside tomorrow morning. I'll get my indoor walk in later this morning. I have a few different WATP dvds to use, so I can change the routine.
Enjoy your day.

Was -9, feels like -28 when I got up this morning. To be this way thru the weekend. Winter is indeed here! Counting down to our Hawaii trip. 43 days!
Decorations all hauled downstairs, on shelves. A lot of organizing left to do in that storage room. And lots of decorations to sell/donate next year. Around here they won't take them for donation after the holidays. But I have a lot someone can have. AND, drumroll!! I called Comcast/Xfinity as our 12 mo contract was up. Going from $127 to $160!!! So I called, chatted a bit, told her I didn't want to go higher than what we presently paid and new price, $116.61!!! I won't give up cable because I can't get Wild hockey games any other way. That is cable & internet.
I don't enjoy the water exercise either as my skin is so dry. It hurts to go outside after being in the pool. Hope Jill is doing ok. We are heading out to see Rogue One, the new Star Wars movie after a bit. Have a great day all.

One container of decor is boxed up. I need to get the under the bed box for the "linen" type stuff as I usually use the bedding, towels and such before the rest of the decorations go up in November so they stay in the house. PT's last visit was today, tomorrow will probably be the last one for OT, the nursing may continue another week or two. We should know more on Friday. I am expected to ride roughshod over him in getting his exercise/therapy done each day...some of it is twice a day. Now, if they had wanted me to help him with shopping therapy, I'd be all over it! LOL A little more computer time and then I'm off to put away more Christmas.
Joyce - hope you got the stuff up and ready to go out for the charity p/u. Our weather started changing yesterday afternoon. Maybe a little snow overnight. Not as cold as Ruth's temps though. RUTH - enjoy the movie. Good deal on negotiating the new price with your cable provider. You best mark the calendar at the end of Dec as a reminder to call again after this 1 year "contract" expires. (assuming it's one year) We got a 2 year deal with AT&T/DirecTV.
Well, I've stalled long enough. Off to get the holiday linens put away and some of the tree decor down....before I take another break and return to the computer.

Joyce, sorry to hear your nice weather is ending. Hope the snow and cold isn’t too bad. Yea on getting the items together for the Amvets pickup.
Ruth, that is cold. Hope you and your DH are able to stay inside and not be in that cold. At least you have your Hawaii plans to keep you warm. Nice job on getting the break on your cable and internet bill. DH usually handles that for us and one time the person told him that he couldn’t help him get a better price, he waited about an hour and called back and was able to get a better price. Can’t figure those companies out, they seem to have a different price for almost everyone. How was Rogue one?
Cathy, it is nice that they released John but it sounds like they expect you to take over for them. Hope John cooperates, it is for his good, but I don’t think I would be successful with my DH. He went to PT for his back all summer and since that ended he hasn’t done one exercise, same way with his knees. Seems like you are getting all of your decorations put away.
I do use a lot of lotion because the water can bother me, but the water in general in Florida is very hard and that is hard on my skin also. I really enjoy the time in the pool, and usually there are several people walking so that makes the time go fast. My cold is doing better but I’m not completely over it. Will take the night time cold medicine tonight and hopefully I will sleep thru the night.
