At better computer now and waiting for something to print anyway...
Gabrielle-DD's interview went well and they want someone who can start right away but they did mention that they had 75 applicants! After the interview she was more focused on filling out forms for the attorney, and I was calmer to help her, and we did get most of it done. She needs to make a few calls to get past pay stubs and also go to the county assessors office for a couple of things about her house. And best of all, at the end she realizes that she needs to do better at recordkeeping!
Carole-so sorry you don't feel well...I can feel for you because I had that stuff in December...take care of yourself!
So latest on family as far as postponed Christmas this Sunday...My brother called my sister who called me to say that Dad was anxious about having so many people over so just wanted to cancel it, but sister suggested that I still have DD with Kennedy come and get some pictures so he won't be overwhelmed but we can still get the 4 generation picture. Then a few minutes later my brother texts and says that dad says we can all come but he might have to go lay down and rest while we are there. So dad just can't make up his mind, but I think that I am going to call DD this afternoon and see if her and Jeff can bring Kennedy for a short visit in the afternoon. I am sad that my other kids won't get to see Grandpa, but this is getting ridiculous about going back and forth. I know that he is 95 and somewhat depressed, etc. And my sister still thinks we need to bring in a home health care nurse to help him bathe..I say if he can still do it on his own, let him have some dignity. I agree with her that he is lonely, but maybe someone from church or an outreach group could visit him weekly to engage him in conversation? I don't know I was glad to come to work this morning to get my mind off all this!!

Hello all
I feel so out of touch with you all so bear with me. Today is the first day that I actually feel better. My ears popped and I can hear and I have no sore throat so I'm hoping this cold is on it's way out. Well were still training this week for a new system to enter tickets and print them so I don't have much time. I wanted to let you know I'm alive and finally feeling fine.
Hope to get back later
Jenny

Woke up this afternoon - felt a bit better... by the time I showered, dried my hair, got dressed... uugh, feel like I did before!
Christine: We got a little snow last night, expecting more tonight... morning commute could be messy!
Lisa: Glad DD has you to help her through this!
LOL I am drinking so darned much hot tea - of all different "blends" for this and that...no problem with water consumption today or yesterday!
The only thing that TRULY felt "good going down" was the draught beer last night!
Sue: You and me both GF... when is spring again??? I know - I know... shouldn't complain, but MAN I can't wait until April in NC!!
When we went to Disney the first time Tim was 5 Tracy was almost 2 - that trio was GREAT! Next trip Tim was 10, Tracy was 6, Matt was 4...HORRIBLE TRIP for Tracy!! She just had meltdown - after meltdown...so I don't really think any certain "age" is best to go. Zoë will not really remember much - but we'll have the photos and videos that she can watch as she grows... Eden will be 4, and that's the one we have to worry about! LOL Jaclyn will NOT take a child under 4... since they won't really "remember" it...I don't know, I just think you never know how any two kids will "handle" it... no two are the same!
Shelly: Sorry the blip on the scale sent you into a downward spiral... I get it - but we all know i doesn't help! {{{{{hugs}}}}} Cut yourself some slack GF! You had two major holidays with family - and foods that are so out of the norm for you... up .6# over holidays sounds more like maintenance to me!
Unfortunately I think they only ran the "normal" blood tests... she only took 1 vial for heaven's sake... I asked her to take more... but she can only do what was requested by the Dr. months ago!! That lemon chicken sounds good - I think I will print it and pop it in the slow cooker someday!!

Just message hairdresser and I can get in at 4:30 instead of 5... since I am home, why not? Home earlier and in bed earlier!! NOT that I expect to SLEEP, but hey might have to try!!
Actually FALLING asleep is not the problem... it's when DH comes up to bed IF I wake then it's all downhill from there! Last night I think I got a solid 3 hours then woke up when he came to bed... after that every hour...:-(
Jo: Yesterday was just blood work... annual check up is Monday...wait 4th level is only TWO flights of stairs?? Oh well, ANY stairs will benefit in the long run!
Nadine: YES give yourself the same "credit" you would give US if the roles were reversed... AWESOME to be getting back to MFP when the other one didn't work out!
Sorry Sid is so high maintenance!
Sue: YAY for being down .6#! Yes I am sort of down for the count...
Gabrielle: YIKES Sorry about the clock... is it all set now?? YAY for making yourself go to the gym after the long day!!
I don't think Eden will go to Pre-School... pretty "pricey" around here... when my kids went it was fully funded by the schools, not any more! So for a family that can't afford it - it kind of sucks! They are still "thinking" of home schooling, but think they are heading the other direction... since not much has been said recently... she begins a "Kids night out" program at church (this week I think) on Friday evenings, parents drop off the kids, date night for parents and fun for the kiddos. Usually the child has to BE 3, but they said she can start now, even though she won't be 3 for several more weeks.
Nice that you will have a visit with your old friend... enjoy!

Lisa: Aww, sorry the family day is in such disarray!! I say let everyone go to DDs and if he needs a break he can take one! It might help him to see everyone... it is after all only one day!!Maybe not even the whole day... I guess there IS a lot to think about...{{{{{hugs}}}}}.
Jenny: YAY to feeling better!! I am thinking today I have turned a bit of a corner... but ya' know what? If I feel this crappy tomorrow - I am staying home again!!
Might ask Gramma Kathy to keep Zoë on Saturday... Eden will still "need me" but if I don't expose Zoë all the better!

OK Time to get moving... will bring a nice big cup of tea with me to the hairdresser... not getting a full "cut" so it will be a shorter visit than usual... just a color and quick trim... want to get back home ASAP!!
Ended up re-heating some mac & cheese, not the most "diet friendly" lunch but it was yummy and didn't hurt going down!
Will check in tomorrow... ♥hugs♥

Evening all...back from a nice swim but it was nice! Pretty cold and wintery when I came out of the building which is not fun!!! Only about 30°...Brrrr!
Shelly...sorry the scale got the better of you yesterday!!! It's hard not to get frustrated and then just throw in towel!! Back on track today my friend!! My soup was even better today warmed up...I love nice thick chili-type soups....one cup serving was very filling with my veggie tray...I didn't even eat my afternoon snack! I am hungry now but I also just worked out! Thanks for the recipe...it sounds delish!! Will need to pick up some more lemons this week!
Christine...home the morning commute wasn't too bad today! Thankfully the snow is supposed to be done by 3am so the roads should be in pretty good shape by the time I leave the house about 7:30...Jason will likely call and give me the "traffic/road conditions" update about 7am...he usually does!!
Thanks for getting us going again this morning Jo...did you find the WO online or were you given it from a trainer or something?? Might be something I can do at least partially while I'm home after surgery since I won't be able to hit the pool!! I love the "cost vs benefits" idea that Cookie suggested...really does make sense! Hopefully you got introduced to the new girl today!! AND you were on time!! LOL!

Hi Nadine...so glad you popped in!! Glad Sidney seems to be doing better...hopefully you can get a morning routine worked out that you can take care of him and still check in here!! WOW, DD in her last semester of HS...kind of bittersweet, isn't it!?! I never did check out the My Net Diary but if it's too rigid, it won't be my cup of tea either!! Celebrate the fact you are tracking somewhere!! Yay for maintaining...you have to be doing something right!!!
Gabrielle...bummer about the alarm snafu...glad you had a nice long ride to get your attitude turned around and you weren't stewing about it all day!! Nice that you could get a good workout in after the long meeting...you deserve a rest today!! Bummer about the hot flashes....8-10 years sounds like such a long time when it comes to getting through menopause!! I feel for you!!
I heard on the weather today Gabrielle that parts of the Pacific coast was going to get TONS of rain...like 100 inches!! I know you are short on rain but that sounds like too much rain in a short period of time...they said it was predicted over the "winter months"!! Hope it's useful if you do get it!
WOW Gabrielle....I think I would be frustrated with your supervisor and the work delegation around there! Seems like your supervisor takes advantage of you and your experience!! Just don't let it get to you...hopefully you will find the "joy in your job" again!!
Actually Gabrielle...every family birthday in the family except me, Jackson, Kellen, DB Jim and DM are between October & March....Kale starts it off on 10/9 and they run straight through to my niece Lindsay on 3/21...it's crazy!!

Love the suggestion on HSM about saying "you can have it on...." that gives you the option to plan for the splurge or possibly the craving will pass!!
How fun that you will get to meet an old college friend this week Gabrielle!! How old are her boys!! Glad you will be in Sacramento that day to make it possible!
Carole...bummer you didn't think to check in at the desk and get the throat swab....hopefully it is just a dry throat! I'm sure ice cream would feel good on your throat!! Hopefully you will round the corner and start feeling better so you don't have to reschedule your hair appointment!! Take care of yourself my friend!
Lisa...glad DD interview went well but WOW, 75 applicants...are they interviewing them all??? LOL, had to laugh when you said DD realizes she needs to be better at record keeping...guess that's the positive out of this crappy situation!! Oh my, such "back & forth" about the family Christmas!! Hopefully some sort of compromise and solution will finally be resolved. I'm sure DD is lonely and maybe a church visitor or other outreach group could help!! Is DD confused or just getting old, slowing down and lonely??
YAY Jenny...glad the cold seems to be fading away!!! Hope each day you feel better and better!
Carole...glad you woke up feeling better...bummer the shower and getting ready did you in!! I can't wait for spring....the older I get, the less I like cold & winter....I hate driving to work and it's just barely light and driving home in the dark...it's depressing! We took our girls for the 1st time to Disney when they were 6 & 7 years old...neither of them remember a lot...the best memories and trip we had was when they were 12 & 13...it was blast!!! I'm sure we will head to Disney in a few years when Jackson & Rowan are 5-7 range....I think they will all have fun!! I HOPE they will all have fun! LOL!
Glad you could get your haircut a little early and get home and settle in for an early night!
Yup Carole...I fall asleep fine but when I wake up to pee and come back to the "buzz saw" that shares my bed, I often toss & turn for a while...I spend a while nudging and poking him! The "Kids' Night Out" program sounds like fun!! I'm sure Eden will love it!! Will be anxious to see if they home school or send her to public school..... I know how pricey preschool is...I'm amazed what the girls pay for the boys to attend....they all go to a church preschool that is a little cheaper, but it's still a chunk of $$$. The girls figure "it's only 2 years" and it's a great benefit for them.....

Oh...speaking of visiting with old friends....before Thanksgiving, a good friend and I planned to get together this Friday at their house....I forgot to put it on the calendar and it totally slipped my mind! Today at lunch I got a text from her..."are you and Jason still coming for dinner tomorrow"! I texted back "did we set a date??? I forgot!!! I'm getting old & senile"!!! She texted back..."I forgot too until I turned the calendar today and saw "Sue/Jason here!"!! Thankfully, we have no plans so will enjoy an impromptu night with old friends!! It will be fun! We won't go until about 6:30pm so I can still swim with the boys before hand!!! Glad of that!!
Glad you enjoyed the mac 'n cheese....sometimes when you don't feel good, you have to opt for the stuff that "doesn't hurt" going down!!
Time to grab something to eat....starting to get a headache from being hungry!
Sweet, skinny OP dreams to all!

Good evening all...I read through post earlier but never had a chance to post. Got my upper body WO in today with trainer. A little before 5 I got to go and get my massage. Oh it felt so good today.
Christine how was your meeting today? Sounds like you had your meals all planned out for the day. Hope roads wasn't to snowy for you.
Jo hope you was able to meet new girl. How was the kids first day back to school. Sounds like the wo is going pretty good.
Nadine glad you was able to stop by for a minuted today. Glad the training seems to be helping.
Sue good job on the WI. I knew you could do it.
Lisa how was your day
Gabrielle glad you had time to stop in before heading out for the day. Hope you are able to get your alarm fixed. So sorry you are having hot flashes again. Hope they don't stick around long.
Oh yes it is COLD here. I know others of you deal with it a lot more then we do but it is around 15º with a wind chill of -1º. I am ready for it to go away. We are suppose to get 2"-3" of snow.
I remember when I was pregnant with the kids and I did this more with my oldest Michael but I would crave something sweet and I would make myself wait before I would allow myself to eat it and I usually decided I didn't want it. I need to go back to doing that.
Don't think we will be doing a baseball game this summer since we will have a wedding to go to this summer.
