This is a monthly thread for those of us who have a lot of weight to lose. The definition of “a lot” is something that is determined personally, so everyone who feels they have a lot of weight to lose is welcome to post here.
Please join us in offering support, checking in for accountability, help with questions, etc. We’re in this for the long haul.
We’d also love to hear from those of you who are maintaining a large loss. We need those tips to help us to keep the weight off once we lose it.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today sunrose - thanks for starting our monthly thread. Congratulations on the 18,000 steps that is great!! I'm happy to hear doing the C25K with your friend is working out well. I'm sure it's going to be enjoyable to walk in the cooler weather of Fall too. wwlurker - I hope you are doing well and that life has just been too busy for you to post - please let us know how you are doing. Fairchild - Hope you're having a good day. Annette - Please check in and let us know how you are. I'm doing pretty well today and avoided using this first day of the month as a free-for-all - at least so far I have planned a little treat into the day/weekend, but I'll stay within my points. Today is 5 months at or below my goal weight and even though it seems likes it's been a struggle, I have to believe I've learned some lessons at keeping the weight off and eating correctly to do this well so far. If I can get to one year at or below goal I'll be really pleased since I've never been able to keep the weight off for a year. It really helps to have the support here - so thanks to you all.

Hello Everyone sunrose - good for you meeting your 10K goal. Are you planning to actually do a 5K run as part of the C25K? How nice to be looking forward to a trip, I haven't been away from home for more than a day in many years - I'm just not motivated to travel as much as I used to, but I do miss it sometimes. Hope you are getting to go somewhere fun. I'm hanging around the house for the holiday weekend, but may go out one day. The nice thing about retirement is not having to go out on the weekends when all the workers are out, so I try to avoid it if I can. I'm hanging in there and hoping to finish out this week staying on track. So far so good, and I still have weekly points to use by tomorrow. I've used some of my Activity Points for candy this week, but I don't want to use them all each week. wwlurker and Annette - I hope that you will check in, I'm concerned about how you are both doing. Fairchild - Hope you are doing well this weekend.

Checking in for the day, the last day of my "week". I'm hoping to make it through today without any overeating, so that will be a full week on program. I think it's helped me to have cut back on my exercise to make it a normal level. I was using it to overeat and that isn't the reason to exercise. Hope everyone is doing well on their plans

Good morning
cj59, you are really doing good and I truly mean that. I need to get my mind in a better place. Not sure I will be going on my trip. Can't make up my mind due to Irma. I am suppose to fly to Florida later today, Friday fly to Asheville, Monday back to Florida and stay at airport and fly home. The first part of the trip should be fine, it's the weekend that bothers me.
I hope everyone is doing well. If you don't hear back from me this week it means I got on a jet plane ;-)

Hi sunrose - I hope you have a safe trip and that you don't run into any bad weather. Enjoy the time away. I've been to Asheville before and it's nice there, beautiful scenery. I'm glad to see you posting, we've lost some of our other posters. I'm worried about wwlurker, she always checks in at several times a week - I hope she is O.K. I had my weigh-in today and lost the weight I'd gained last week. I think the digital scales are weird, it's almost always the same number that I have when I gain and when I lose again when it's a large a swing. Just kind of makes me wonder. I do have an old regular scale and I use it too just to have a different reading. It weighs a few pounds lower than the digital scale, so it's nice to see a lower weight sometimes I hope everyone else checking in is doing well on their plans.

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't checked in lately. Things are ok but I haven't been doing anything weight loss related at all. I just needed a little break. cj59 - WTG on 5 mths at maintenance! That is excellent! sunrose49 - have a great trip. I'll try to post more later.

Hello I am Leesa a 44 year old mom to two kids in high school. I did WW 7 years ago and had success with Momentum. I restarted back in May and I'm currently down 22 pounds. I would like to lose 75 more. I am following Momentum and just doing it on my own. I am happy to have found this place, since I discovered WW did away with their message boards.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well wwlurker - thanks for checking in, I'm glad you are O.K. It's good that you took a break for yourself Hello leesa - welcome to our thread, lots of great support here. Congratulations on your loss, I'm glad you found a program that you like. I'm on Momentum too. I did the program back in 2009-2010 and really liked it so when I realized I had to lose the weight I'd gained back I started the program on my own in 2015. Since then I've lost over 150 pounds and I'm now working on maintaining my loss - if I do it this will be the first time ever. Fairchild and Annette - Hope you are both doing well and will check in. I'm doing pretty well today. I really want to overeat, but I've planned out my day and I know I can stay on track. I went to the grocery store this morning and managed not to be buy any junk food - I even bought a frozen WW meal instead of something higher calorie

cj59, Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I lost 79 pounds in 2010 with Momentum, but never reached goal. So, I really have no clue about maintenance on the program hopefully it won't be too hard to figure out. Congrats on losing 150 pounds and way to go on your non scale victory at the grocery store.

Hi Ladies! I didn't go on the trip. Made the decision Monday after checking in here. I started so many times to go, but something was holding me back. I'm so glad I didn't go. My friend is boarding up her windows today and leaving tomorrow.
Leesa, welcome to the group! What is the cutie you are holding? Congratulations on the loss!!
wwlurker, good to see you. Sometimes I need to take a break also. Hang in there.
cj59, you are doing so good. I think I mentioned this before, but I might need to check out Momentum again.
I'm so off track after stressing about the trip. I was really looking forward to it, but the darn storm made me too nervous.

sunrose49, sorry to hear that you cancel your trip, but better safe than sorry. Actually it's not me in the pic. I found it on dd's computer, since my own pic was too big to load. I think it's an arctic fox in the pic. I will have to try and mess around get my own pic down in size. Hopefully shrinking my avatar pic is easier than shrinking me in real life. Thank you for the welcome.
