It's Friday ALREADY!! Wow, this week went fast - Huge snow storm hitting now - calling for additional 6-12 inches of snow depending on what neighborhood you live...gotta love Lake Effect Snow Poor DD18 had to go in for 6AM shift this morning - their car was buried - BUT I give her credit for getting out there early, brushing it all off, warming the car up, and slowly getting to work. Whew. She is usually such a procrastinator but Gary and I have been warning her she HAS to get up earlier and give herself plenty of time with this heavy snow. Guess she listened

I can't stay too long, just wanted to check in with you Girls - miss chatting back and forth but trying to find a routine again has been draining - was going to focus on getting here last night until DDs put "The Notebook" on and, well, they pulled me into watching it, again, with them LOL (been their favorite for years)
My knee hurts. Woke last night to spasms behind the knee...Sue, has that ever happened to you? Wow, did that hurt!

Work has been long long days...and awkward trying to figure out each trip up and down to my 3rd floor office. I hate to forget anything as that means another trip...
Next week we start mid-Winter school wide testing to see where each child is with Reading and Math. DD20 is permitted to work the project with us focusing on our Kindergarten students for Letter sounds, and phonics skills. Great experience for her Speech Therapy major at school plus we could really use the help!
Hope to do better checking in here -
Carole - is it strep throat?

Mornin'... :-( Still feel crappy, but also do feel like I maybe took a turn during the night... slept better...woke up hungry!?? Decided to stay in again today - could I have gone to work? Probably... but just in case this is/was more than just a cold... one more day will be better for me! I am feeling kinda guilty about not going to work - but since I am going back to bed, the guilt is fading... I mean if I felt well enough to get the rest of the decorations down/put away, or get dishes done, or start laundry... then maybe I should have gone to work - but since I can't even muster the motivation to DO anything... less guilt in my head!

Good luck with your 6-12" of SNOW! YUCK! YAY for DD18 learning to get herself going in the morning! AWESOME!! I was SURE you were going to say YOU or DH Drove her to work! LOL
"The Notebook", never watched it... might see if DD has it on DVD, I could watch in bed today!
Never heard back from the Dr. yesterday - no news on my blood results OR if they wanted to see me for a throat swab... guessing it is NOT Strep? As it is getting better?

Christine: Good luck with trying to find your routine... which will change AGAIN as the girls head back to school later this month!
More NyQuil and back to bed for me I think... might CBL... not sure what the night will hold... supposed to be at DS/DDILs tomorrow at 6:30 AM! I will most likely go - but already spoke with DD about HER being with Eden more than me tomorrow... and I may opt to send Zoë to Gramma Kathy's - since that IS an option - why expose her to this? We'll see how I am feeling later today... and knowing I have no real PLANS for either Saturday OR Sunday... I can just lie low and be ready for a full week next week!! With Debbie on vacation I can't be out next week... except Friday - already have a scheduled colonoscopy so will be out Friday... OY VEY... hate using so much time in January - but then again... that's what it's there for!!
♥hugs♥

Good morning all! TGIF!
Christine-it was -1 on my way to work, but no more snow for now. Yes it sounds like your DD was on top of things with leaving early...we usually have to shovel out our driveway before anyone goes anywhere with a lot of snow.
Carole-sounds like you might have a virus? Good idea to stay in again if not feeling well..hope you feel better!
Sue-sounds like you are ready for the day!
I have already got a lot done at work and now am taking a little break. It is amazing how challenging a task my look, but once you start it, it isn't that bad!
Just ready to go home and chill this afternoon. I do have to call my dad/brother and hope that since dad is too anxious to have all of us come on Sunday, that DD, DSIL, Kennedy, and DH and I can come to his house for a little while in the afternoon so that Dad can meet his first great-grandchild and we can get some 4 generation pictures.
BBL, Lisa

Good Morning everyone
It's cold and sunny about 18 degrees and that my friends is so cold. I'm finally feeling back to normal from that flu stuff. I even had a flu shot and it didn't stop it, it must be a different strain of flu. I almost thought it was strep my throat hurt so bad.
Carole sorry your sick I feel for you, Just get plenty of sleep and rest that's what I did. My new favorite show on Netflicks is House of Cards I binged watched a couple shows and I also watched Stranger things, at least I got caught up on my TV.
Jo hope everything goes well for you at work and it doesn't get to complicated.
Hello Sue how are you.
Christine lots of snow out your way, stay safe. Audrey is getting ready for finals I think the week of the 23rd I'm not to sure.
Lisa are you staying warm where you live? How's Kennedy doing?
Ok need to run I just thought I would pop in real quick, were only working till 1:00pm today due to the weather and no business. Have a great day

Sue: Guess tonight's meal shouldn't throw you off too much... YAY to getting your swim in first though!
Lisa: Thanks... actually slept another 2 1/2 hours and woke up feeling "almost" normal! Hope your DD is accepting of your idea for Sunday ♥
Jenny: Maybe because you HAD the flu shot it stopped it from getting worse?? I am going with that... IF I hadn't had the shot this would have been full blown flu and I would have been down for the week, not just 2 days out of work!
YAY to a short workday... enjoy the early start to the weekend!

Morning Christine....the snow you are getting now must be the stuff that could "clip us" tomorrow sometime....it's still dark but it looks like we only got an inch or two....roads are just wet it looks like! Jason should be checking in soon!! Glad Linds was up clearing off the car to get off to work....becoming a responsible adult for sure!!
I know what you mean about planning your trips up to your office...I do the same thing! Yes, I do get pain behind my knee, I call it a cramp but it's likely the same thing!!! Doctor told me it was because my knee cap was all chewed up!! Less than 6 weeks...can't wait! One of my HS friends had hers done on 11/22...she still isn't driving, it was her right knee!! She's glad she did it but also says "wow, rehab is long and hard"!!
Glad Carly will be able to help with the testing...great experience for a speech therapy major!!
Need to pack and track my day...will have to track dinner when we get home from DFs tonight!!!

Evening all...Snowy day here. I am so amazed how some ppl use just a couple inches of snow as a reason to not come to work. My main girl that does price changes and covers me when I am gone won't drive on snow at all. She got a ride from a guy that lives in the same town and then her boyfriend came and picked her up. Then I had a girl that was suppose to work 3-7 this afternoon and she came in and told me she wouldn't be in because the roads were wet and it was going to freeze and she wasn't driving on it. She lives in a small town 7 miles from the store. When I left work at 5 the highway that she would've had to drive was completely dry. Ugh.... The road I have to take wasn't a state highway so it was snow covered and I didn't panic when I had to drive on it to get home. Sorry that subject gets me worked up when the road conditions aren't really that bad if you just take it easy.
Christine yes this week seemed to go pretty quick. So how much snow did you guys end up with? Did you have to go to work today? Glad DD took you and DH advice and got up early to get care unburied and to work on time. Oh I love "The Notebook" I probably would have chose that too.
Sorry your knee has been pretty painful. Hope it heals soon. I am sure all the up and down the stairs at work has something to do with all the pain you are experiencing.
Sounds like you will be pretty tied up at work with testing. How long does it take to go through your testing? It will be good for DD20. Glad she is able to help out.
