This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

I'm up but not sure I'm awake. I'm not sure how cold it is out there. Afraid to look. I'm so glad it's Friday. I'm ready for a few hours of leisure reading. A mild, workaday miracle happened yesterday. After giving myself permission to take a day off from exercise, I decided to do some gentle yoga instead. Slow-go, me! Best way to start the weekend: cut and color at 4! And it's jeans day at work. Yay! That means I can run around in my comfy new Reeboks and lay down some tracks. I look forward to checking in on everyone's doings and making sure Susan isn't buried in a four inch snow drift.

Good morning, coffee buddy! Enjoy your casual Friday, and especially the C&C. Frieda, thanks for the info and encouragement! I think I'll bake some cookies today for DH. We have the Grands this weekend, so they'll enjoy them, too. I'm feeling like being back in the kitchen again. Maybe some bread, too. It's so bitterly cold, it will be good to have the ovens on. Three is finally sprouting more teeth. Two on the bottom, two on top at last count; he looks like an adorable little chipmunk! He's off formula, and has moved up to Pediasure, still by tube. So much more affordable, and higher calories. He still just eats baby food and occasionally, some Cheerios. Mostly he likes feeding those to Z. He definitely rules his older brothers. On book 2 of another trilogy, with more on deck when I finish. I find I'm better about getting my steps in when I have a book in hand. I even got a nap in yesterday. Delicious.

Morning, Nancy and T.!
Hurray for Friday all the way around. It's my last full day in NYC: meetings for work this morning, lunch with one of my formerly incarcerated men, a couple errands this afternoon that MSP cannot resolve. I'm exhausted from sleeping (or not) in a strange place and these past few very long days, and will be happy to get home to DH tomorrow. I've seen two very strong productions on B'way this week and spent a great evening at the prison with the guys.
T., hurray for jeans day as well as the C&C after hours!
Nancy, are you reading on the treadmill? I get a little dizzy when I do that; I envy you.
Sending good wishes and tracking vibes to all our pride as we get back into the swing of it all.

PKate; I read while walking around my house. It's been much too cold in the garage, plus I've had a very sore left hip, and the TM aggravates it. I do 30+ minutes of "laps". And yes; I do get a bit dizzy from time to time. So happy you'll be home soon. DH works on my little car as the parts trickle in, so you are still on my radar!

Hi CaTs. Hello from sunny and frozen. Wish I was a ball of energy but trying to putt along and do things and accept me for me. Big load there! Taking care of things as they come. Need to get loads in the laundry machines so something is working around here. And I need to face the frigid with the poodle.
Did anyone watch Oprah online on WeWa site last night? A motivational, thought provoking 11 min or so. Some members were complaining about the commercials yesterday - she makes it look like can eat so freely, so much, it's not like that etc, misrepresentation. I hear them but think one still has to think for themselves. Kind of like life.
My meeting locally last night was nothing exciting (in terms of attendance). Good regulars (6) reported and one from past returned. Must try to stir up membership.
Frieda, glad you pop in when possible. We are glad for every opportunity to hug you.
Gotta go

I was able to walk on the treadmill today, and it so i.prives my sense of well being. I have yet to decide if it is from the exercise or if it is from things being settled enough to allow it.

Will try again. Shari, I didn't see the ads, but we we wa stock was up 20 percent the day after Dh saw them. I read we wa magazine while I'm on the treadmill and I'm very curious about how O is doing. Dh said she's lost 40 pounds. ?
I have the house full of kids again tonight. Dd1 had kept her baby home since she was sick. To baby her obviously and to avoid exposing us. SBJ then got it bad, and was here. Dd1 and hubby own the store where he works, and have trustworthy employees so he could stay home and care for baby. SBJ needed to be here. I'm hoping I don't get it. As sick as I've been the last several years when I got respiratory infections I took precautions. Though last year I was given the flu shot probably when I was not well, and got sicker than I have ever been. Decided I'm never getting the flu shot again. But there's an oil that has a reputation of supporting resistance you viruses, and I'm using it regularly the last day or two. So far so good.
Our family gathering of our extended family is Sunday. Monday was supposed to be my visit to the Brothels, Speakeasies etc. I got a call that it's cancelled because of inadequate enrollment. I told Dd3 and she was sorry I hadn't told her about it. She so would have gone. They said they would probably offer it again in the spring.
I however got notified I'm scheduled to give blood that afternoon. So I'm eating salty foods and drinking water, being glad there's no BL WI tomorrow.
There will be no piano lessons tomorrow as I told our teacher there had been illness in the family and I didn't want to chance giving it any further. She agreed They had played for a nursing home, and she thought they did well. She was surprised at their level of confidence. I told her they'd been well taught, and had practiced to the point they felt they could do it well. They just had a great time. Of course, they were the only ones, and they were glad to play for the friends who came and the people there.
It's cold here. This morning was minus 3. But fortunately no wind.
I'm so glad for each of you who can find time, energy, and inspiration to post. I love hearing from each of you.
