hi, I reread the note it said if we go to Rochester would I exchange it. I just talked to the shop and they have no blue. blue does not ring a bell. colors are pink, purple, red and green. don't know where Theresa has blue on the mind. she did say october would not be to late to exchange it. it has not been used and the tags and receipt are still with it.
I do think I have something in mind for the certificate. I might just get one of those new olfa rotary blades that are suppose to last longer. even if I have to put some money with it. have not looked to see what they cost. I agree having a baby sleep with parents is not good. have heard stories of infants being rolled on and dying. also we knew a couple whose son could feel with his foot at night if his mom was not in bed with him. he would holler joan get back In here. think he was about 8. needless to say what we all thought about that.phyl

Good afternoon!
CJ- I asked about your tooth because i have had a similar experience- where a tooth was in the process of going bad- but I was unaware of that fact. Then, after having the tooth extracted I felt a ton better and realized that a low level infection was setting in. Anyway, glad you are doing well. I know that both downy and gain make highly special highly scented products to eliminate fabric smells- not sure if you want to go that route with the fabric you just bought but I thought I would mention that. Dd had to use products like that in her previous house becasue the water had a strong sulfur smell. Indeed, I have the same hot weather as you. Thursday is the day it truly break s for me and temps return to the 70's. Hang in there our fall weather is coming.
Hey Ruth.....I am sure you will check in later when you can.
INdeed had fun making soap and using it this am. Its hot here.......and tomorrow will be also. Oh well, cooler weather is on the way in a few days.

Phyl, glad you can exchange that fabric if they get something in that your SIL likes. That is a relief. Good idea on getting the new Olfa blades- you do enough work that I am sure you are changing blades a lot. Are these new blades that expensive? G

Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a relaxing Sunday. I haven't done any crafting since Friday when I went to knit wits. When leaving I put my walker in the back of the car which has one of those rear doors that open out. I slammed the door shut and forgot to move my left hand and caught my left thumb in the door. So I have a very bruised thumb. So no crafting for me for a few days. I had DD home yesterday, she hadn't been home for several weeks. But she never changes and she was glad to be home for a few hours.
I need new pants. All my pants are too big for me which is a good problem to have. I have lots of good pants but I am shorter and have lost weight. I was looking on line for petite short length pants but I find it hard to order pants because each company seem to have different sizing which makes it difficult. So tomorrow I will take myself to Penny's and Sears. I used to be able to get a lot of my pants from Sears but after they joined with K-Mart their quality is not as good. Penny' probably will be the best place to go. A lot of the stores that I liked to buy from have closed. I am not sure if we still have Macys. One of them closed a few months ago. There may still be 2 open.
cj, I was reading another board and several people said they had trouble with pro boards so you were not alone. I hate having to re write a post. I am glad you enjoyed the quilt show and you were strong and resisted buying more fabric. I have to do that when I go to the yarn shop.I hope your gums continue healing nicely.
Ginny, most of my b/blankets are approx. 32"x 32" some are smaller, defends on the pattern I am using. I have a friend who bought one of my b/blankets at the craft fair at my church. She got really upset with me and said my b/blankets were too small for a crib. B/Blankets can be any size you want to make them and the b/blankets for preemies are really small and light weight.
Ruth, starting Oct I really have to watch the food because there are so many special occasions like birthdays and ending with Halloween. You really do start getting cold early Today and tomorrow our temps. will be in the 80, and then Wed I think it will be 90. I am enjoying the weather after our really hot summer. I hope it doesn't start snowing on you any time soon.
Phyl, it's hard to say no to a good friend when they ask you to do something that is an inconvenience for you. I hope you can convince her to make do with the bags she already has.
I wish you all a good evening.

Phyl, my mother always said that it's really bad to start a baby sleeping with you because then you will have a very hard time getting that child to sleep in their own bed. As you said, it's really a danger to the baby too. My grandchildren have their babies sleep with them. No use saying anything because they'll just do what they want anyway.
Meg, I'm sorry to hear that you slammed your thumb in the door. That had to have hurt but I'm glad it's not broken.
No snow down at our level but lots of rain and it will be below freezing tonight so I hope people drive carefully but each year they seem to forget that it's winter.
I think I'll read this evening and maybe after I read some I'll work on my baby blanket for awhile.
I found some nice hair things online. My dil said dgd likes nice hair clips. No free shipping though so I'll wait and see if there's something else I need there.
Dh put in an order online a couple weeks ago and on Wed I think it was, they delivered one of three identical items. I emailed and told them two were missing so they said that if I didn't have them by Sat evening let them know. So I let them know today. I got an email back saying they would either refund my money or send two replacement items whichever I wanted. I told them we wanted replacement items. Well soon after we got and email saying they refunded our money...what? Guess they can't read. I emailed back and said no I wanted replacement items and I haven't heard from them since.Guess I won't order from them again but at least they refunded...I guess...I'll have to wait and see if the money is actually credited to my account.I guess this was just my week for having online problems

Ruth, OUCH! So sorry to learn about your bruised thumb. Hope you are successful at finding pants tomorrow- indeed pants that fit well are so worth the money. I do appreciate your input on baby blankets....I know you make a lot of them. First I will be making some for my church to donate to the local hospital- so the 36 x 36 size sounds perfect. I believe what I am making for my grandchild to be will be 36X 48- and that is not crib size either. Its just meant to cover a little one....and I figure that the blanket that a baby will drag around as a "lovey" later on will probably not be an afghan but a quilt with a satin binding. Glad you got to bring Dd home, as we know you have wanted to do that for awhile. Sleep tight. Ginny

Ginny, no it was Jet
I make my blankets smaller than your's, Ginny. Mine are about the size of Meg's 32x32. Good size for over a baby in a car seat when they go into a store or something. I know the stores air conditioning makes me cold so I'm sure babies get cold too. of course it works for walking into and out of a house or other place too.I know I wouldn't like a blanket dragging on the ground so I make them so they won't. I see that now infant car seats seem to have a canvas cover that zips up the middle. I think you can even cover the whole baby if you zip it all the way. However it wouldn't keep the baby warm so a small blanket inside that has to be pretty helpful Ginny, I don't know about your cold but mine seems to be worse. Yesterday was coughing all day and today it's sneezing and sniffling.
