Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good afternoon all. Watching Wild hockey game. Had the girls overnight. DD picked them up this morning. Went and got my hair cut. A little short (1-2") in a couple spots, but it will grow! Soon it will be just right, then too soon, too long again! A viscous circle! DD dropped off 2 garbage bags of stuffed animals and a grocery bag of odds & ends toys for me to sell/donate. Told her I might try to sell a few of the stuffed animals, but most will probably goto the fire dept. They like to have them on hand for children involved in their calls. A comfort. Really cold here today, warming starting tomorrow, snow possible, then back to the deep freeze next weekend!
Jill, Judy and the other ladies from Countdown to Spring, want you to know that you and your family are in their thoughts and prayers. They all miss you and send their love & prayers.
Will try to check in later. Have a good day and stay safe all.

Ruth, sounds like the girls had a nice evening. Nice of you to do the girls laundry for your DD. My DH is the same as Stan with the chocolate chip cookies. He doesn’t do hot chocolate – but loves the cookies. Have fun with the planning stages of your trip. Every time we watch Hawaii 50 – DH says he wants to head back there. I would like to go also – but the flight is so long for us, would dread that. That’s nice to give the stuffed animals to the fire dept., they always need them here. That’s the good thing about hair – it grows, but just when I begin to like my cut it seems like it is time to get it cut again.
Joyce, hope you had a good day at work. Are you working the PT job also?
Hi to Cathy and Jill. Cathy, how is the PT/OT going? Hope John is improving. Jill – thinking of you and your family.
It is going to be cool here – in the 40s tonight but warming up to the 70s tomorrow. Rained most of the day, winter is the dry season for Florida so rain is always appreciated. Made a good dinner, and enough for leftovers one night during the week. I started a box of things we don’t need and it is almost full. Once it is full I will take it to either Goodwill or the church thrift store that is close by. We booked a cruise in Oct. with DHs sister and her husband and his brother and his wife. We all cruised together in 2015 and had a great time. We are doing the western Caribbean this time. DHs DSIL is teaching a college course, she is a RN and is teaching a clinical nursing course for St. Louis University. She works at the hospital that is affiliated with SLU. Because of her schedule the only week we could go was 3rd week in March. Usually there are some students on the cruise at that time but I know we will have a great time. Ruth, we had to make our final payment in Dec so that is taken care of. For DH and I we don’t have to pay airfare so it ends up being a reasonable vacation. It is cold and snowing in New England, but checked with our sons and so far they are doing OK.

Good evening, hope everyone is surviving the cold. Both my son in CT. and the one in Mass. got about 6 to 8 inches of snow and it was in the single digits, but everyone is fine. DGS#1 loves playing outside in the cold and snow, DGS#2, not so much. It was in the low 40s this morning here and warmed up to the 60s. Tonight isn’t supposed to be as cold as last night. It was very windy all day. I made a pot of chili for dinner, it came out good and there is enough for another dinner later this week. DH is watching the GB/Giants football game and rooting for GB. We did go to the flea market this afternoon. It is only open on Fri., Sat., and Sunday. We were surprised at how many of the booths were empty. I spoke to a few of the vendors and they said it has been very slow but usually is in the beginning of Jan. Only bought some eye makeup remover so didn’t add any clutter.
Hi to AWF, hope everyone is ok.

Good night all. Didn't get a lot done today. We have a mold problem in our bedroom windows, so had to get the stuff to take care of it. I am SO allergic and woke up this am feeling awful. Looked and it had gotten really bad overnight. Finally got DH's attention, he's kind of pooh-poohed me up until now. Says we have a broken seal in the glass. We will start the process tomorrow to get the windows replaced. It's a crank out on both ends, solid middle pane. Hate it as it's always been drafty and with the blinds we can't leave windows open. So we will switch to double hung on the ends. But DH did take care of the mold on the window so we can sleep in there tonight.
Finished one of the three chemo caps I had on needles, worked on one of the two pinks currently in progress. All while watching the Wild beat the Ducks.
Dottie, funny to say your DGS doesn't care for the cold. Sawyer has told her parents & me multiple times, "I no like this cold!"! She's my grandchild all right, and my namesake! She will only stay out for a few minutes and then wants to come in.
Sawyer day tomorrow. I'll be back in the am.
