This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

GM Cats: I am up early. I'm surprised my weight isn't plummeting downward. It goes to show you how little your body needs to survive. Hooray for DYKW! That is wonderful. I am happy for her (and you). Seems like yesterday she was looking at colleges. I did see the Mighty O on SColbert. I just happened to be up and turned on the tv. I know what you mean about your face looking gaunt when you lose weight, T. Nancy, sending you a hug. How was cookie making with grammy? My brain can't recall personals. Love you all. Frieda

You are so right, Frieda, on how little the body needs. My appetite and my needs are seriously disproportionate. It's another cold one, but not as severe as yesterday. Mid-twenties right now with a bright sun.
On a positive WeWa note, I'm down 2.4 since last weekend. I wish it were a more dramatic reduction, but honestly, I did not dramatically reduce my consumption. I earned a lot of APs and ate them all, plus most of the weeklies. Still, I'm not beating myself up or looking for sympathy over a loss. It's a long way to normal, but flipping through the Connect posts reminds me of so many in my age bracket who've gone much farther.
I'm paying for my workout with a very sore knee today, but until I'm lighter on my feet, I will have to live with it.
We have theater tickets this afternoon, and I really wish they were for next weekend. But I think the show closes before then.
My eggplant parm did not come to pass -- the lovely thing turned all brown inside in the fridge this week, sadly. So it was spaghetti squash instead, and I turned the green tomatoes into an appetizer. It was delicious. Tonight, I get a reprieve since we are joining DD and DBF for Mongolian Hot Pot. I took a long nap and awoke to a dismantled and packed up tree. Thanks to the menfolk! Yes, Nancy, it does seem like yesterday that DYKW and your DS2 were looking at colleges. What a long way they've come! I need to figure out my exercise strategy for today, since we have plans this afternoon and evening. Probably the walking video, since I can adjust for the grumpy knee. Does anyone else track on an iPad? I can't get the quick-add function to work. It appears for a second, then vanishes. Off and hobbling . . .

I just got home from a 13 hour trip to the Christmas celebration for our extended family. It was so great to see those who could make it.
I was down more than a pound, but the last two days have been off. I'm hoping not to have a gain when it catches up with me.
I am pretty sure I'm going to call off my appointment to give blood. I've been Uber exposed to this stuff everyone has, and it knocks the young ones way down. (Young ones includes 2 y/of to 45 at least) I have been treating myself with oils and seems I bought time. But today I was starting to feel a bit of sore throat. I'm questioning if dry air from the heater on all day or if I'm getting unhealthy. I don't want to share blood with someone who is having a tough time already. And if I'm going to get this, I don't want to go into it down a pint.
Tomorrow I'm going to sleep til 6:30 at least. A break.
