Oh I didn't add the cheese sour cream or the salsa. Figured DH could add to his and I would leave out to cut calories

Good evening: Checking in before settling in with my book and heading to bed--early tonight as I am feeling kind of tired for some reason. So far (since yesterday) we have had 4 inches of rain....and it's continuing. I live about halfway between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe (the Sierra Nevada Mountains). So, we are in the foothills at about 2000' elevation. Only occasional snow, and not the flooding that they see in Sacramento (where the elevation is about 500'). Still, windy and many flooded roads. We'll survive...wish that we could store all of this water somewhere. A lot of it is flowing into the ocean. We count on snow melt for a lot of our water.
We didn't run outside today...instead I did 10 miles on the TM...uggh. Oh well, it's done and we didn't have to risk our lives out on the road! DS17 heads back to school tomorrow...not a happy camper about that, but he's okay with it.

Carole: Good idea about the humidifier! Yes, the dry air and breathing through your math could definitely be causing that sore throat. Keep the humidifier handy! I mentioned having one on to DH last week and he said that the noise from it keeps him from sleeping. Too bad because I think it would help. Tonight he said, "I wonder if I have pneumonia?" This was because he is still coughing now and then. I (AGAIN) said, "Maybe you should go to the doctor." And, once again, he said, "No, it's okay." Uggh! Glad that your colonoscopy will be over soon...mine was relatively easy too. I wouldn't take the anti-nausea stuff either---why take it if you don't have issues? SO great that Tracy is helping out so much!! Glad that you can take it easy. It WAS nice in Sacramento! The boys really enjoyed Old Sacramento.

Carole: I know that you are sleeping now...hope that you sleep well and feel better in the morning. Sue: What a nice, relaxing day yesterday! Just what you needed! Sorry that you had to venture out in the weather today...on a positive note, maybe the store wasn't too busy? It's a good feeling to be ready for the week! I am about 50 min - 1 hr from Sacramento. It's not too far, but it's a terrible commute on weekdays. It's a pretty city for the most part (lots of trees) and I often don't mind the drive. Yes, it was fun to talk with the boys--7th and 8th grade. I enjoy that age! I have been known to stay up until the wee hours when visiting with friends---I get it! I just pay for it two days later, LOL. Hope that you have a good morning tomorrow.... Shelly: Uh oh...sounds like the ulcer is acting up? So sorry about that. A rough way to end the day! How was the trip otherwise? Lisa: SO happy to hear that DD met Kennedy (and that you got to see her . Time to sign off and do my Sunday-evening things. Happy to be on top of the laundry issues and feeling good about meal plans. Oh, I think that Carole asked about taco shells---there are several tortillas that are 1 or 2 SP for the whole thing---one is Ole Tortillas (we have them in the grocery store but Walmart carries them too). I use lean ground turkey and chili sauce and season it with cumin and ground oregano. I use the leftover meat for taco salad for lunch. Today I made "fried rice" for lunch and added some roasted chicken breast. Used the cauliflower mixture for the rice and followed the recipe on the package---it was good and so low in points! 4 SP for a huge serving. Will definitely make that again for lunches. Okay, I'm gone now...have a good evening!
