Hi, Connie & all,
I like the picture. Cinnamon roll is on the menu for breakfast.
I did a lot of walking yesterday but will rest today.
Health to all.

Good morning!
Connie, we purchased our first gallon of cider last weekend -- your picture made my mouth water!
Today is Mama's 90th birthday. I have things to do . . . .
Hope each of you has a wonderful day!

Thanks for the start, Connie. Love the pictures you and Cat have up already.
I changed my stats below to show where I am this morning with the sodium fluid gone. I show my 2# Gone goal.
72 to 84 today. I get to go eat HUCK'S CATFISH today. Hooray! So I ate a later high protein breakfast. That should hold me until I get to go this afternoon.
Good idea last night, Molly. DF and I used to call each other when we got home after dark. She no longer goes out after dark and really does not feel like going to church every Sunday. Sunday she only went for Sunday school and that wore her out. I really am concerned for her. She is 85.
Thanks for the orange blanket, Kathie. I still run my window unit so the room gets chilly. I have a hard time sleeping without the noise so when it finally gets cold I will run a box fan on low for the noise then wean off to ceiling fan.
Jenny, I hope those supplements help you to feel better.
Peggy Sue, I laughed about the "Happy Dance" at bedtime. So cute. Betty came in when I took Bearly out when we got up. She will sleep on the back porch. Yesterday she did not ask to go out until I got home from church last night. She slept ALL DAY!
Gotta get dressed now. Coffee finished. Have a great Thursday all. CAMPING WEATHER LUCY

We still have cattle rustlers in Texas.
MUENSTER, Tex. (KXII) -- 30-year-old Alex Sicking and 49-year-old Keith Hennigan were arrested last week, accused of stealing 77 head of cattle from a ranch on County Road 425 .......

Good Morning Connie and October Fun,
This morning it was 58º and raining and going up to 68º with showers and thunderstorms likely and winds SE 5-10 mph.
My internet was down this morning but I didn’t turn my computer on until after King went to work. I’m happy to say I finally figured out what I needed to do and it is up and working again now.
I don’t think there’s anything special that needs to be done today. All three girls are on the regular schedule for the day.
Yesterday Rachael had volleyball and cheerleading practice and I don’t know if she has it again today or not. I’m having a hard time keeping up with her schedule.
Maxine calendar for October 5: Fall’s a great time to take a hike. Especially if you’re annoying me.
More memories from our time in Japan: This is from a letter to my sister Ruth dated 1/31/1957: I thought I’d show you that I got some fancy paper too (off white with pink cherry blossoms). I had to buy mine though. Like Bill says, the golf shoes are beautiful and I’m sure anxious to try them out. It looks like it will be a while yet before I have a chance. Yesterday they took an x-ray through the cast and the one crack still isn’t healed. Dr. Nelson says he doesn’t know how it happened, but it refractured in the cast, so I’ll have to have it on for another three weeks. Leave it to me to do dumb things! Oh well, it’s too cold for golf now anyway. These colds Bill mentioned are very strange too. We feel good but at mission meeting Bill lost his voice one day and the next day yours truly had the same thing happen. We’re feeling fine again and we can talk most of the time. Dr. Nelson says there isn’t too much you can do for it except drink lots of hot things and take aspirin (he says it’s cheap advice- what a character). So we’ve been drinking lots of tea and coffee and it really helps. Yesterday it was so warm it was like spring and today it was so cold we even had a few snow flurries. IHow hope this letter isn’t too greasy – we’re sitting here crunching popcorn. I have a letter of yours that I haven’t answered yet, but it’s downstairs and I’m too comfortable in the nice warm study to go out in the cold hall to get it so I’ll wait until next time for that. How do you like Bill’s liquid lead pencil? He got this and a Parker 41 pen for Christmas from John Dekker (our Air Force friend). I see Bill has some typing that I can do so I’ll stop for now and try to write soon again. to be continued . . . Falling Leaves Doris 199/146/146

Fred sees the doctor today and unlike me he has total trust in what a doctor says to do even after I do the research and tell him what I found, especially regarding eliquis. I even tried reminding him what he said after the last bleed about how no matter what he would never take another blood thinner and according to him I'm mistaken as he never said that. So today he's going to his appointment on his own. I just refuse to go and sit there while he, like a puppet on a string, will nod his head in agreement with everything the doctor says and not ask questions or remind him that he (the doctor) said he would not put him back on a blood thinner. He said he wants me to go but not say anything and I told him he knows full well I would not be able to do that so I will stay home.
Got started on laundry when I got up so it's finished, folded and put away. Once again back to finding a food Bailey will eat. Bridgette (our beagle) will eat anything unless she is having an upset tummy day but Bailey has gotten very picky and is not liking any dog food. I did see a dog food at Wal-Mart that she might like and since it's only $8 for a small bag might give it a try.

Sandy,
I wonder if it has something to do with the name Bailey, because our Bailey is a picky eater too. We tried several different dog foods and she didn't want any of them. Now she is back to the original one that Sophie has eaten all along. Right now Bailey is getting rice mixed with hers because she is also taking medicine and the vet recommended giving her the food this way. She eats the whole bowlful now and seems to be getting better and not limping as much.

Cat,
I love this one and think it should qualify for the bad joke of the day. I don't always comment but I do enjoy your jokes.

I was not feeling the greatest late yesterday so did not make it back here, but read everything this morning and it was a busy thread yesterday. Nice to read what everyone is doing. Did get the apples, and saw DGS's house that they are renting. It is small and just right for them. Both so busy don't need a big house with too many rooms to keep clean.
I am off to get my first injection in my knee but coming right back home. DGD#2 is coming to go out to dinner tonight. Not sure where as I usually try to have her pick.
Did get the apples at orchard and saw DGSs house they are renting, neat small place, they are so busy that it is nice they will not have a lot of house to keep clean etc. Will have their hands full with training the puppy though. Kitty is adorable and not into too much mischief. Seems pretty laid back.
I drove home after dark and always looking for deer. I am okay with it when I know the road well.

hi, I am back from being in the imaging department. got to watch how they shoot the cortisone in my hip. very interesting. this doctor is funny. he asked if I wanted an old rusty used needle or a nice shinny one? then he asked if we had one of those big houses in our area. told him no 3 bedroom ranch house. they didn't build those kind of houses In the 70's.(least not that I know of.) dr. said that is his style keep it simple.
taking it easy today. can do almost anything tomorrow. no physical activity for 72 hours.(like I am doing races.)lol
damn those donuts are calling my name. good thing they are not ediable.
jeana's bailey will eat anything.
tonight is the October harvest moon. hope we see it. rain is coming. already trying. moon sure was pretty last night. harvest moon phyl
