Good evening!! Ruth, you are so right, afghans can be crazy heavy....I have one that my mom made that feels like a ton. I would imagine with bulky yarn it would be even worse. A lap afghan sounds like a cute idea! Hope you had a very happy birthday! CJ- I love to bake also. Not sure if you are interested, but I have a WW recipe for both banana bread and blueberry muffins- both are now my go to recipes for those items even with my non WW family. Tha banana bread is so very good- and it freezes well. Its phenomenal toasted......would be happy to share both recipes if you were interested. I started the new baby afghan- and will be making it a little larger than the original, but she provides directions on how to do that. . Let's hope that Ginny does not mess that up too much this time...... Dh and I went for a walk- kind of a slow pace, but it was nice to get out. I am feeling better- not 100% though. Buster is a robotic school bus. (Pretty sure if you google Buster the robotic bus you will get lots of videos of him). We use him for National School Bus safety week (which is this week) in which we put on a presentation for the little ones (typically k-2) about school bus safety. Each year we are given a new topic. THe kids really listen to Buster- he can say all kinds of stuff - and he captivates the students. Yes, it makes for a long week for me, but its so worth it to hear the students say later on "Buster said this, or Buster said that".....so sweet. Think I am going to read awhile....hi to Phyl and Meg. Ginny

Hello everyone. I hope you arte enjoying your Sunday. I did go to church this morning with Devin and now we are back home for the day. After Janet went home yesterday I was tired so I did not work on my afghan. Hopefully I will work on it this evening.
cj, I love how organized your are. I used to be a Clutter Buster and followed Fly Lady. I need to get back to being more organized. I can do a little at a time and get it done. We used to have a fly lady group here but it got to be just 3 of us. Then one lady died and I lost track of the other one. We used to meet for coffee every second Tuesday. I used to take my knitting and we would sit there for about 2 hours chatting. I will have to look up the Fly Lady website to get motivated. My children were born the same week in Oct, 1956, 58 & 1965, I don't know how I managed that.
Ginny, I hope by tomorrow you will feel much better. Take care and get lots of rest today. I will keep you in my prayers.
Ruth, It will be nice to get the sweater finished. Then you can finish the granny SQ lapgan it would be great to keep your legs and feet warm in the winter. I am glad you are having a few days in the 70s before the snow really sets in. I don't bake very much anymore. I would eat too much so it is better not to bake. Of course Devin would love it if I baked but he gets enough sweets without my baking. He loves coffee hour at church because they always have goodies.
Phyl, I hope you are OK Take care everyone.

Well I started the sleeves but then dh came up and was chatting so I couldn't concentrate so I set it aside temporarily and will get back to it when I'm done here.
Ginny, Buster sounds like a great idea. Little kids do like things like that and he sure teaches them a lot. Great way to teach things they need to know. I hope your new baby blanket crocheting goes well. It's so frustrating when we work on something for a time and then find out it's not working out and I know you worked on the last one while on your trip.
I'm glad you're feeling better and I do hope and pray that you will be feeling ok tomorrow.
Meg, I tried once to follow those Sidetracked sisters that were the inspiration for Flylady but their system was so complicated. I do remember the one sister saying to put out a new dishcloth every morning. I thought that was pretty funny. Wonder how long she used one dishcoth before she decided to set that rule for herself.I had their book for years and finally donated it to the library for their sale
See you all tomorrow for a new week
