What a long, lazy day. Another very cold day so we stayed in all day. Really didn't do much. Read some, sewed a little, played with Ozzie a lot. Probably fix a frozen pizza for supper unless Dave wants left overs. I'm in no mood to cook anything.
Back to rehab tomorrow.
Have a good night.

I had leftover Chicken Enchilada soup for dinner and it was better tonight than last night. It thickened and I garnished with sour cream and cut up avocado. I would recommend it to every one. It's a Gina's skinny taste recipe. I changed a couple of things and added garbanzo beans.
I think a lot of people all over the country stayed in today, cold, snow and rain all over.
Betty, I knew you would have fun with Ozzie, pets are great for all ages. When we talk to them, they listen and no back talk. And just love us as we are.
Had good news about one DGS, got early acceptance to college and into the honors program. One proud Nana here. DGD turned 21 today, boy they grow up, don't they. She is a junior in college and in a graphic arts program.
Busy week coming up, dinner with friends tomorrow, surf and turf special at a local restaurant, birthday lunch on Wednesday and regular pizza day on Thursday. Hope to go to WW tomorrow. Cold but sunny.
All of you ladies have a wonderful evening and peaceful dreams. I had an early bath and in flannel jammie bottoms and a sweatshirt.

Chicken breasts covered in mix of yogurt, garlic powder and Parmesan in oven..smells good and is easy. Along with it are some Gildens frozen zucchini pancakes to try. Salad of roasted squash, Arugula, dried cranberries , Onions and candied pecans made and waiting
74 and sunny today . Tickets for Cubs spring training here are selling out. Most of the teams are in Tempe, Mesa, Scottsdale and Phoenix for spring..
micki went to groomer and we dropped off a big tote of books at new/ used bookstore nearby. This time they only took 1/4 of them, do they are in my car for the library. Used credit to get that book everybody tells me to read, A. MAn Called Ove.
made jiffy mix blueberry muffins and coffee for brunch. Less than 200 calories and little fat. This lead to cleaning out the cabinet the muffin tin is in, which lead to cleaning out 1/3 of the pantry. Hate when I can't find stuff.
waiting for our painter/ handy man who is working next door to come and reattach the landscape light power bix to the house. When the electrician moved the surge protector couple months ago, he moved the outdoor plug too. Unfortunately, the plug on the landscape box is not long enough to reach and one screw wa coming out of the wall. It is heavy. Have used solar lights on that side of the yard but when we have weeks of clouds and rain, I wanted to use the lights.

Hi from wild and wet Sacramento. Lots of rain and I am sure there are areas where it is flooding and mud slides. We need the rain in Ca. but not all at once but I will not complain because it is nice to see our rivers and lakes fill up.
Lin, you always have such nice meals at your house you sound like a very creative cook. I also have chicken in the slow cooker this afternoon. I don't know what DGD will fix to go with it, but it does smell good.
Hi Geri, Sounds like chicken is the popular meal of the day. So good to hear that your DGKids are doing so well. You have a right to be proud of them.
I wish you all a good evening. Stay warm and dry wherever you are.

Hello everyone. two time in less than a week. I am trying to get back here a little more often. Geri Our grandkids do grow up too fast. My 17 year old DGD in NC posted a picture of herself the other day and she is looking beautiful and like she is 20. I wish time could stand still sometimes. It was really cold here Friday thru today. Yesterday I totally stayed in because it did not get out of the 30s. Today though, when I woke up it was 20 but by the time I left for church it was 32 and by the time we got home it was mid 40s. It was also very sunny a pretty. Tomorrow we will be back in the 60s and will continue until we get back up in the 70s. My son posted pictures yesterday of his back yard and his beautiful German Shepherd in the show. Luckily for them, they only get it a couple of times a year at the most.
Worked on packing up stuff in the kitchen yesterday. Not everything, of course, but stuff I do not use on a regular basis. My daughter met with the guy that said he wants her house and he said yes, he definitely wants to buy it as is (it need a lot of work) so he is supposed to get the contract done this week and give her escrow money and apply for the loan. He has several houses he has bought for investments and he rents them out so this is just another one for him. Now to just get mine on the market. Still have to get someone out here to replace a few of the laminent boards in the office and the dining room and have to paint one room. Hope to get that all finished by next week, along with decluttering and getting things packed in boxes that we do not sue on a regular basis and putting them in the garage. the houses in this neighbor hood usually sale in 40-60 days so hopefully ours will be the same. Hope you all have a good evening.
