HI again!
DH felt up to another walk today, although he cut it short. He's reached the coughing part of the cold and isn't feeling up to par. Hope its get better over the next few days as we have visitors from CA coming in on a cruise ship Saturday, just for the day. Also, a friend of ours who paints water colors, got a painting accepted into a showing in Hilo the same day and they are having a celebration, of sorts, after the showing. It will be going out for dinner - hate to miss that!
I finished my steps at home while watching Love It or List it. I walk in place during the show and make laps through the house during the commercials. So, now sitting at about 11,000 steps. Joan is WAY out in front of me!
Mickey, I'm glad rehab was fun today AND you got a nice long walk in! I always thought the Omaha steaks were good so hopefully the ground beef is good too!
Joan, you did good on your exercise and your water today! Enjoy the movie!
Nancy, what a fun lunch you had! And you stuck to your predetermined entre' AND had your water! That's a NSV for sure! So far, all my friends and family are doing fine though the rivers are raging. So a cool picture of FB of ice chunks floating in the Susanville River (where we lived two towns ago).
Mammie, I'm so glad your headache is better! Keeping my fingers crossed that the hunger wears off now that you are off the Prednisone!
Barb, since you keep refilling your water bottle, you are probably doing fine on your water. I still enjoy an 8oz Pepsi but I am only drinking it on the weekend - my cheat day!
It's after 3 and I am sitting at 11 points so I have plenty for a nice dinner. I'm making chicken something, Ha! I'm hungry for lemony chicken so I'm going to see what I can find.
Hope you are all having a nice evening!

OK, back from dinner for a minute or two. The hamburgers were excellent. I told DH if the price were close to the price at the meat market in Oregon, we could skip bringing back all those hamburger patties and just bring the frozen 1 lb packages. But I bet the price will be too much when I compare it. However we did have to spend about $40 on dry ice to get it all home. Joy: I'm sorry your DH is under the weather. I hope you won't miss the Hilo trip. It sounds like lots of fun. QOTD: I rarely pay attention to getting water, but the rehab people keep pushing it. Now that I'm off the Maxzide diuretic I've gained 3 lbs in 3 days even though I have been very careful about calories and what I've eaten. So I've gone back to the lemon water first thing so there's 16 oz. I drink my one cup of coffee black, so there is about 10oz more. Then I have another 16 oz taking pills--so many pills! I've been drinking from my water bottle in rehab too plus I have a large glass next to my chair that I try to drink from. I don't seem to have much problem waiting until 5am for the bathroom and that's about my wake-up time. Barb: My iPad mini has both the Reply and Quick Reply but the android phone doesn't. I didn't realize I could scroll down and just thought I couldn't see previous posts. I'll have to look. Sharon: I saw a FB post of a large dog (a golden maybe) lying back in a bathtub with its eye closed being soaped all over. Looked like he was in heaven. I imagine Buddy doesn't think of a bath that way. I see Bo and Pat were discussing vacations in Maine on FB. I enjoyed Nova Scotia but have never been to Maine. My BF in Cambridge spent time there enroute to her 4 months on P.E.I. for the summer. Linda: Good wishes for your trip to JH. It is nice you'll be able to spend time with your family. I hope the roads are clear and the weather cooperates. I found the interview I was talking about earlier at this web address: www.wbur.org/hereandnow/2017/01/09/secret-life-of-fat. I didn't catch the entire thing and am going read/listen to it again. I also heard a NPR TED Hour podcast about the Secret of Happiness. That, too, was fascinating. You can tell I'm having time to listen to things that I don't usually get to. What with riding in the car and hour 3 times a week plus listening to podcasts for 1/2 hour 3 x a week I'm getting to learn all sorts of new things. DH says I find everything 'interesting' (said with an eye roll). I'm not sure whom I've missed. If it is you, I'm sorry and will try to do better. Hugs to all for a cozy night where you get a good sleep.
