This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

A groggy good morning to all. A ghost - or the Raccoon - turned my coffee on in the middle of the wee hours so that the carafe was only warm, not hot, as the warming plate turns itself off after two hours. But the smell of coffee infiltrated my dreams.
We had a great time with DD, DBF, and DS last night at dinner. I'd never had Mongolian hot pot before. It's very low in points, if you choose your contents wisely. It was delicious. DH and I split a glass of wine, and I got away with a night out for a blue dot day. I am just now learning the ways of the blue dot in the tracker; it makes a lot of sense to me, since I can justify higher point days all of the time, but then I pout about the slow- to- no- rate of loss.
We rebooked our tickets to the theater so I could get laundry done and a gym visit in. Check. Tonight I'm roasting a big pork rib roast -- trying to meaty-up the lanky raccoon before he returns to his college life ways. I will have lots of veggies on the side and try to keep my proteins in reason. Lunch is the last of the steamed squash with marinara and chicken sausage, plus roasted cauliflower. I do love sandwiches, but the bread points are discouraging, and I don't care for the cardboard infused substitutes.
Frieda, I hope the semester gear-up for the DDs is going smoothly. Martha, good luck today on that interview! You've got this!
Today will warm up to the 50s, comfortable without being oppressive.

Good morning to my similarly sleep deprived coffee buddy.
I did not have the coffee aroma waking me, but rather the hamster wheel in my brain...with a squeak in it. Gah; I hate that, and it's been three nights now.
Good luck, Martha! ((hugs)) Frieda! Hoping the oils keep you healthy, Linda!
Lots on my to-do list today; the office is at the top. Will try to stop back.

Another sleepy CAT checking in. I'm also dealing with vertigo today...wondering if I'm getting the sinus infection going around the office, plus the storm front (more sinus pressure) that's giving us 90+ wind gusts today. We get the nice warm temps but the winds will drive us all crazy!!
Wishing everyone a wonderful start to their week!!!

Hi CaTs. T, I want oppressive! It's zero here, maybe a little more and climbing but not soon enough. I am indebted to DH for doing the weekend dog walks - all of them. I can't deal with it unless forced. Today I do Mick's walk before heading to the studio for long lessons.
Missing MCat here. Good luck, Martha! Waving to Frieda, how's the Cleves weather? Just a forerunner of what we get, prob. We are warming up midweek. Congrats to DD on the new job, T! Good choice on the blood donation, Linda - be well. I need to donate soon. I'm eligible, just need to get there. Andrea, hope the vertigo passes. When does Susan's cruise launch? Nancy, good luck with the books today. I'm in the piano books before I report for lessons - the work behind the scenes.
I miss DD. She's still in PA visiting. Back on Wed and here for a week before heading back to college for new semester. Time marches on.
Looks like this might be the week of coming clean to my work-related people about a move in the works. Dreading and glad, all in one. Oy.
Must hustle. Sitting still is not warming me up! Best wishes to all for a terrific Monday.

Andrea - I hope you are kidding about the 90+ winds! I know it can feel like that sometimes. This is the most snow we have had since 2009. The light powdery kind so everytime the breeze comes up it's blizzardy. That is the way the rest of the winter will go unless we get some really warm temps to crust down the snow. Unfortunately nothing above single digits for the foreseeable future.
Great news about DD job offer, T! And I think 2.4 on the scale is happy news! Wish my men would take down the rest of my Christmas - it will never happen.
I was thinking about you Shari - wondering when you were going to deliver your news. Good Luck. I remember when we moved back to ND from MT I had to deliver that news to my daycare families. Lots of tears were involved - I only gave them two months notice. Sorry for your Wx. Atleast all I have to do is open the door for O - we have an underground fence; love it.
Nancy, sorry about your DM. I remember my DFIL got weird notions about my SisIL when is was doped up on morphine in his last days fighting cancer. He said hurtful things. She knew it was the morphine talking, but it still hurt none-the-less.
Wondering if Susan is packed? How are Lynne's DD's liking being back on home turf? Did Linda dodge the bullet or come down with the crud? Is today's Martha's interview?

Good morning CATs, Karla, your world sounds about as I had imagined--snowy and cold. Stay warm! T, how exciting for your DD to have landed her first big career dream job. I'm slow cooking a pork loin today and stuffing some acorn squash later so we will be fed for the week. Andrea, hang on to something. Those type of wind bursts will blow away you and your possessions. Shari, GL with delivering the message to co-workers. My big boss gave notice of her retirement (effective 6/30) on Friday. This is definitely going to be a year of change. Nancy, hope you get lots done today in your quiet house. Linda, I hope your essential oils will keep you from getting the crud.
I bagged my walk this morning so I need to get myself outside for a nice long stroll in our back to normal temps today. I have a couple of good audio books that I can plug in to make the time pass more enjoyably.
DH and I saw Hidden Figures yesterday. It is very good and enlightening about those little known workers who made the space program a reality. It sparked some interesting convo because DH said the gov't and military were integrated way before these incidents set in the early 1960s. How did NASA avoid integration?
Ok, I'm off to do something productive with my day.

Good Morning CATs~
Yes, this morning was my interview. Thanks for all the good wishes. In fact, I just got off the phone. I feel good about the interview. She is going to forward my resume over to the supervisor. It's a little further away than would like. But it's on the bus line and with one change.
Started off my day with happy light & Jillian. Bfast was cornmeal mush/polenta with eggs & some shredded cheese, along with some fruit. Had a cuppa hot tea ready for during interview.
The weather has warmed up but supposed to get another round of yuck on Weds. DH left when still icy. I asked him to text me when he got to work. He made it okay. Schools Districts all around are closed for today.
T - Glad you had good time with family at dinner and that you were able to rebook tickets to theater. Sandwich idea: instead of bread, use lettuce. Or have an open face one. Orowheat Honey Wheat Berry bread is 3 per slice. Nancy - Sorry that squeaky wheel has been interrupting your sleep. Andrea - Hope it goes away quickly! It can be nasty. Shari - Good luck with telling coworkers about the upcoming move. Karla - I think I'd pretend to be snowbound and not leave the house! The weather here is bad enough. Anne - Movie does sound interesting. Lynne - (((hugs))) My picture is a tree of 40 fruits. Got it off the internet.
I know sitting doesn't keep me warm so may put in Walk Away The Pounds DVD after lunch.
Laundry in dryer, dishwasher cleaning and I'm going to work for an hour in my spare room. Lots of papers to sort thru - shredder or keep. I'll move shredder in room to keep me more focused on cleaning it out.
Thinking of all and sending HUGS

Karla; thanks for the understanding post. You're so right; it hurts.
Just a quick drive-by as I'm revving through my day. The little red car now officially belongs to me again, with insurance switched, as well. Banking: check. Mail: check Filing: check
Now to stitch B1G's new coat; he has a slice on the inside of a sleeve. Hoping I can do an unnoticeable repair.
If UPS brings the last piece needed for Little Red, I can install the back protective liner in the cargo, as well as the dog cover for the back seat. Then, it's all up to the body shop to slap in the new headlight and smear on the lipstick to the front and back bumpers. She'll be gorgeous once again.

Afternoon,all.
Busy catching up on emails, messages, to do lists that went neglected while I was flying around NYC last week. Good to be home, getting refocused. Had amazing visits with two of my formerly incarcerated guys; that felt very good indeed. Am fighting with Humphrey a bit. Managed some yoga with him this morning, but don't want to inflict him on other folks at the Gym and still waiting for dizziness to abate.
T., that is great news about DD and her new job!! Woop!
Shari, have you got a timeframe for your move yet or you just know it's in the works? (it's as if poor New York state did something to alienate CATS of all sorts, isn't it?)
Anne, I am eager to see that film as well.
Nancy, hurray for your littler red friend feeling better and ready to zip around!
Frieda, how goes it with you now that you are home and the DDs are back to school?
Okay, back to the workload.

Martha, hooray for a good interview report. Sending you lots of positive energy for the wished outcome. Nancy, I'm glad you are about to get your little red friend back in perfect order. Kate, good on you for pushing through the Humphrey woes and into a little yoga.
I too pushed through--got off my duff and went for a nice outdoor walk. It was so nice to feel the sun and the breeze and to get nearly to my daily goal. A trip to the mailbox in a couple of hours should add to the steps adequately.
Alright--off to the shower!

It's been quite cold here. I think around 15 the past few days. I haven't been down to TM. I've been busy. I'll have to give a newsy report when I can. I'd like to go back to WW. Tell me about the blue dot days, T. Is it some high point days, some low? Congrats on the 2 down. That is great!! Seriously, how little do we need? Anyone remember saying to your grandma, why do you have so little on your plate? Nancy, I didn't mean to not mention your mom. Happy BD to her. I'm sorry for whatever reason she isn't the happiest of people. Perhaps you look like a sister of hers or something and she thinks you are that person, not you. I love your profile pix, Anne. As yours too Kate. I'm glad your visit to the big apple was fulfilling. The girls are doing good. Back with friends. Oh, and Martha. I certainly hope you get the job, even with a longer stop. I guess it's just more reading time for you, then.
I'm out of time. oh, karla, I'll change my avatar's shirt. We look like twins!
