Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning all,
Never got around to posting over the weekend. Nothing exciting happened anyway.
Still cold in Buffalo, but warmup starts tomorrow. Supposed to be in the 50s on Thursday. Really!!! This is the craziest weather pattern yet.
Dealership was slow yesterday...only had 7 service customers, and 1 sales customer. Boring!!! They haven't hired anyone yet, I'm starting to wonder if it's to save money. The girl in my office hasn't moved to her new position, maybe they're trying to figure out if it's needed. Who knows. We are all caught up, I'm doing the new stuff, nothing much extra to do for a new person now anyway. Even the scanning stays caught up.
Nothing planned for today.
Prayers continue for all.
Enjoy your day.

Good Morning: I just posted this on our FB group page and thought I'd share it here also.
~~Watching the news this a.m. -- listen to this, it could save your marriage/relationship: a site called Gleeden reported that the second Monday after Christmas is their most highly trafficked day of the year. And this year, that day is January 9th! What is Gleeden? -- Gleeden is an online dating company in France that caters mostly to women—married women. Any female can join for free and peruse a large stable of men (who pay) to choose from. The website has now opened its doors to the U.S. in hopes of becoming women’s answer to Ashley Madison.
What’s so special about the second Monday after Xmas? -- Last year’s second Monday was January 11th. Gleeden revealed that its registrations increased over 320% that day. That’s no meager number. Relationship experts believe that people who have been thinking about cheating—for whatever reason—feel it’s part of their New Year’s resolution to make a change. Christmas has come and gone, New Year’s Eve has given way to a new dawn, it’s Monday, and all is the same as it was. The buzz has worn off and it’s depressing. So these unhappy people sit there for a few days contemplating their future. They realize that all they have to look forward to are a series of long, cold, dark, thrill-less nights.
******BUT, today is National Clean-Off-Your-Desk Day (or clearing off your work space will suffice, too)! My thought is that if you are busy clearing off and organizing your prime work space...be it a desk, kitchen counter, or coffee table; you'll be too busy to start the wheels in motion to cheat on your S.O.!!!! See, ladies, our little group can help save your relationship just by removing some clutter and getting better organized! What are friends for? LOL

The OT & PT folks have stopped coming. I'm now suppose to be his therapist! Here's how I get him to do some of the exercises...Withhold his morning coffee until he is doing some of them! Delay lunch, until I see some movement. Well, you get the drift....LOL Hey, it works == most of the time. The visiting RN just called and she'll be here in 60-90 minutes for her visit. I suspect she'll stop coming next. Today is John's birthday. I have a couple of gifts for him but they need wrapping. I'll probably make him a pineapple upside down cake a little later this morning. I've only made that a couple of times in our 31 years of marriage. Joyce - are you off today? How is your winter de-cluttering coming along. I made some headway in the office and the jack & jill bathroom yesterday. Even pitched a few things...and more than just paper! A tiny path was made in the Walk in closet-room from hades!! Our DF came and corrected an electric issue we had...thought the GFI was out in the MB but turned out to be a failed breaker. He had to run the problem down. Joe even made the trip to Lowe's to get the part. He installed the new dual head shower fixture in the M.B. that John's DSon & DD gifted us. One of the heads can be fixed or handheld. DH tried it out this morning and it works so much better for him, especially when he is on the shower bench. Joe also took home a broken TV tray, a leg broke right where there was a wood knot. He is going to peg and glue it for me. That will save me $15 in replacing it. When we had the camper, I split up the set of 4..keeping two here and using two at the camper. When we sold the camper, I let the 2 trays go with it. They aren't something we use all the time but with they do get pulled out every so often. We did have a nice visit between all of that. Feel good about all that was accomplish here on Sunday. Hope to see a little more headway today. RUTH - I hope you are able to get some window quotes in the next few days and get those windows replaced very soon. Good luck with getting new listings made on your Sale page. DOTTIE - Hope you have a good day. Isn't it nice not to be having to shovel all that snow! Happy trip planning.
more later...

Good morning all. Sawyer today. Going to get laundry going shortly. Then during nap time I'm going to photograph and start listing more kid stuff and all the stuff my DF asked me to sell for her. Need to figure out dinner. May be take out as we are going to look at windows and schedule an appt. for them to come measure and give us a price. We will go look after we drop off Sawyer tonight.
Joy, I'm always amazed that your car dealerships are open on Sunday. Can't buy cars or liquor in MN on Sunday! Old laws still on the books.
Will try to check in later.

Joyce, I’m also surprised they keep the dealership open for such few customers. Are there more customers when the weather is nicer? Hope your warmup comes.
Cathy, that is so funny about what you posted about Gleeden. I should have paid more attention to Clean-Off-Your-Desk day. Even down here my work space can get messy quickly. Hope John continues to work on his OT/PT with his “new” therapist. At least you found a way to keep him moving. Nice that your friend was able to help you out with several of the projects.
Ruth, you should start charging a commission for the items you sell. You seem to be very good at the listing and selling. Hope you can find an easy fix for your window problem. A cold time of the year to have to replace a window but obviously you don’t have a lot of choice.
This morning we helped take down all the outside Christmas decorations on our 2 condo buildings. It was very organized and went quickly, which was good because it was quite cool, and DH was in shorts and I was in capris. We just can’t seem to put long pants on while we are here, unless we are going to church. My Mah Jongg group starts up again on Wed. so I have been trying to remember how to play. Tomorrow is a “ladies who lunch” luncheon, always a good time.
