Happy Day All!
PeggySue - It's 32 here this AM, and was 27 yesterday AM. DH says we may have to move further south!
Emily - sorry the snow made you miss visiting with TJ, but think you were smart.
BettyJ - do you have a bunch of snow? How's Ozzie doing?
Phyl - you did all those cupboards AND then went to the mall! You're amazing! Would love to see the doxie in the snow!
Geri - I'm with you on the FL winters. This week it's going to be in the 70's in the afternoons.
Marilyn - are you called Mar? I finally noticed your signature the other day.
Dayle - prayers that all goes well at the dentist with no surprises. Please let us know.
Art - I'm so happy you're getting your steps in. I should have known you'd bounce back!
Connie - thanks for the mental picture of the snow, stark trees and the bright American flag! Hope it isn't a serious problem with the compressor.
Pat - I'm so relieved your dining room table was still under there! What a relief! LOL! I know what you mean about getting used to certain weather. I was raised in OH, but have been in warm climates since I was 20 - FL, GA and Guam. Cold weather, snow, etc., just isn't my thing any more.
Linda - Had to smile about one thing leading to another when looking for the muffin tin! There is so much of that cleaning out I need to do. Sigh. Glad to hear your weather is a good.
I did nothing all weekend. It really was okay, but I feel a bit guilty and frustrated with myself. Did my should exercises twice a day (supposed to do 3X) and they do hurt. Did some laundry and cooked meals, but the rest of the time just read a book or watched tv. Must have needed it, as I feel better today.
The shoulder isn't anything new - I just decided to do something about it this year. I'm really hoping the physical therapy will help enough that I can use it better. I don't want surgery. That would be a long way off anyway.
DH and I are going to take a drive down the coast today while running a few errands. I know Charlie will want to go, but that's rough if we decide to stop for lunch.
Speaking of Charlie - he's crazy! He does NOT want to be in the house. He's either running around the house, or lying in the sun in the front yard - even the other day when it was 27! We get worried and make him come in, but as soon as we're done petting him, he wants back out!
Got interrupted by the phone, so this is really late!
Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning Penny & ATF,
Last night was the coldest night for us this year so far.....7; it's now 11. I guess the sun is warming us up. I haven't been out of the house since Friday. I need to pick up meds and some food so I guess I'm going to venture out.
Laundry later nothing exciting. Feel so bad for my little guys going out to school in this cold. Even though they are driven in a warm car.
Have a great day everyone!

Happy Monday
Penny - Glad to know you are feeling better and hope your shoulder feels really better soon. Not as cold here as there. 42 and felt like 38.
Emily - You make me smile about the little guys in the warm car. At their age they probably love playing in the cold and snow. Remember the stories older people used to tell about how much harder it was for them in cold weather?
No particular plans today but sure I'll find something. Finished the book for now.
Everyone have an Outstanding day.
Peggy Sue

Morning All!
I’m eating a big breakfast (egg on a roll) because on dentist days, usually can’t eat much when I return.
I find it interesting that most Floridians are transplants escaping from the winters biting cold. Have you ever met anyone who was born and stayed in Florida? My sister says that half the people she meets near Ft Myers are from NJ or MO. Some she even went to high school with.
Penny glad your shoulder isn’t causing too much trouble. Scaling back on the exercises was a wise thing to do when it hurt that much. It just may take a little longer to get where you want to go.
I watched “Sully” yesterday and enjoyed it very much. It was a bit unnerving with his nightmares of planes flying into buildings. Visions of 911 past. But the staging was amazing. And of course Tom Hanks was brilliant. I have Snowden on my list next. Hoping to get to that sometime this week.
Well must get going. Don’t want to be late for the hammering and chiseling. . .. . .

Good morning.
Ozzie is doing well. Typical puppy, chews on everything, especially likes DH toes. Plays for an hour or so and then ready for a nap. Likes to cuddle. Not doing so well on the training.
Back to rehab this afternoon and then I have a Sharing Shelves meeting later in the afternoon. Busy day. Gotta get started on the laundry now. Basket full.
Have a good day. bettyj

55 here this morning and 70 on Wednesday, that's so much better. I'll be happy.
Went to my WW meeting this morning, it was really crowded, but my usual meeting day is Saturday. I wanted to get the new materials. Haven't read them yet.
Betty, consistency is the word for pup. Does he keep going in the same places? Brenna's was the dining room, but I have all tile, so the damage was nothing. Just cleaning and mopping.
Brenna is loving the cold too. But if I say the word "meat", she runs right in. I have some leftover meat loaf and she loves it.
With WW meeting, stop at Trader Joe's and coffee and an egg, morning is gone. Having late lunch/early dinner with friends at 3:30. Need to get moving. You all have a marvelous Monday.

I only cleaned 3 small cabinets. the one that took the longest was going through the cookbooks and figuring out what ones I want to keep. might go through them again. the bottom cabinets will be the worse to go through.
we had fun at the double birthday celebration Saturday night. a lot of fun watching the dancing the youngin's do. boy can they drink. wonder how they felt sunday morning. sure glad I am passed that stage of my life. I don't think I ever drank that much.

I have a call in to the furnace people, and will get a call back from the technician but probably not until later this afternoon. that is okay as I do have heat and am sure some don't. Also was told if it stops all together to let them know. So I am staying home today but then it is another frigid day. Been reading this morning. But now it is time to get to the paper work that is piled on my kitchen table. The snow and sleet to come tonight with inches predicted. Then the warm up to come with just rain.
My DGS in N.C still had power when I talked to him yesterday. but very cold. He is already climatized to the warmer weather there and didn't sound very happy about that. They run and said they still did that so guess the roads were okay in his area. I didn't ask didn't want to come across as a nervous Grandma.

Good morning everyone
Wow we had a lot of rain during the night. Almost gone now. The plants are extremely happy.
Might do a little shopping today. Puttering around the house and doing laundry. Might pack up a curio filled with my moms collectibles. Needs to be moved for new flooring. Packing up breakable stuff early so I can take my time and won't be stressful. Daughter #1 is coming over for dinner. Feeling cozy on sofa watching the rain. Tempted to stay here 😀😀
Penny - I just put Mar in signature because I don't share my name often. If I join another message board will use Mar. This one is fine to use my name. That's good you relaxed over the weekend.
Dayle - hope your dentist appointment goes well. How many more procedures?

Just a quick pop in. Went to the dentist this morning and she started removing temporary caps. When she got to the last one, kind of jumped through the roof even with a mouthful of Novocain. Needless to say going to the endodontist tomorrow for my final root canal. Last one! There aren't any up there that haven't been root canaled. Disappointed but also glad that it misbehaved before it got its brand new crown and had to be drilled through later.
See you tomorrow!

Wow Phyl! It will take me a long time to whittle down the last 11 feet of cook books! I try to photocopy the stuff I like so I can put it in a binder and get the book out of here.
Finally saw ortho doc ...six more x rays for weight bearing knees. Good news, mostly moderate, bad news one part of right knee is a 4 on a scale of 5 with five being bone on bone. Must be where I fell on it in London in 1985 and it had swelling like a tennis ball on top. so I will be getting lubricating shot series and Physical therapy once insurance okays it....which takes three weeks. If the sub doc when mine was away for Thanksgiving had not said I needed no referral yet, I would be well on my way.
Dreary cold day day and my joints say it sure is raining north of us. But I passed up a cortisone shot , saving it for worse days. It just started to rain.
Two more bags of books to try for used / new book store...not normal kind of used store . They only accept stuff that looks new and they normally sell. Bag and a half moving on to library Wed. Then stuff to consign from kitchen, returned shirt to Costco..a medium that is huge! Then wine store with Bob. He walked the dog. Leftovers for supper.
