# # TAKE TIME TUESDAY # # For yourself... whether it be for some exercise/activity/WO... or time to track ... or time to MAKE A PLAN... just TAKE the TIME you need to make TUESDAY better for YOU!!!
We ALL need to TAKE the time for ourselves... once in a while... So what will YOU do to TAKE TIME TUESDAY???

I took time to track my day ahead... not completely, but as far as I know... which is breakfast - lunch - snacks... I KNOW what dinner is... but it's more difficult to track... so might need time in the recipe builder - hey once it's THERE I don't have to "fret" anymore, right?? Then it will be a time saver every time we have tacos for dinner!
DD will cook - unless she falls asleep when she gets home this afternoon... either way - tacos aren't super time consuming...and they are fairly healthy... we add re-fried beans...lettuce tomatoes... not a lot of cheese... I don't think we have ground turkey, so we'll use ground beef... but it is a very lean beef, fresh ground where DH works... so it will work for us! LOL
Meanwhile - most of you saw on FB that my appointment went OK yesterday... this "cold" has turned to Acute Viral Bronchitis, so of course "nothing they can give me for that"! Should expect to feel this way for 7-10 more days... so yes I am about half way through, since yesterday was the 7th day...
Blood work came back GOOD... "sugars are excellent", all consistent over the past several years... Cholesterol is EXACTLY the same as it was 13 months ago... and the scale says I am DOWN 10# from last year!! WHO KNEW!??!?? I know "some" of that is from being sick the past 7 days, but trust me, I didn't go hungry every day!!
So if I continue at this rate, 10# loss per year... I will be AT GOAL before I retire!! WOOT WOOT!!! Ya' know... I know I want to lose all this weight RIGHT NOW... but if I continue along this way, and it is NOT affecting my overall "health" then who am I to complain!? The only thing that I wish for is less "pain" in my arthritic knees... so THAT is where the quicker weight loss would be beneficial... trust me I am NOT saying I am happy with 10# per year... but Hell Yeah, I AM happy I lost 10 this past year! LOL
Let me refill my coffee... BRB ♥

Good Morning ~ Was just about caught up through Sunday but missed yesterday LOL Geesh, I just can't stay focused!
I did Track my day yesterday and so far through Lunch/Snacks today...
Take Time Tuesday was going to be Movie Night with my Girls - wanted to see that silly movie "Sing" but our weather here is horrendous so will need to see how the roads are by this evening.
Snow Storm right now - poor visibility - calling for 3 inches before Noon. Then it all turns to rain making freezing, sleet, slippery roads. Oh Joy -not.

Sooooo, how was MINDFUL MONDAY???
Jo: Sorry about DS playing games and keeping you up! Does his late hours affect his school work/time??
Sue: I hear ya', this cold makes me want to just stay inside!! But the thoughts of the warm/hot water... I might get to The Y and never want to leave again!!
Lisa: YAY for DS starting a job... and WOW I think I'd take 20... actually we got UP to 20's yesterday too... but back to 5 this morning :-(
Gabrielle: Yes, a little better... and yes, by mid day yesterday I felt like I had "hit that wall"... so I kind of "skated" around some of the work... but each day should get better... I also failed on my moving every hour! Ugghh.... well TWO of the times my Fitbit vibrated, I was in the Doctors office! Once in the waiting room, then in the exam room....my appointment was for 9:10, so I got there around 9, got OUT at 10:20!! BUT I LIKE THE DOCTOR!! She never makes me feel "rushed", even though she is already "behind"... so I deal!
Oohh, that screenplay DOES sound interesting...
and yes I truly ENJOYED my Prime rib... DD brought home one 12 oz piece... which I would usually EAT if we out and I ordered it... but having to "share" it was a good thing... I took the outer part (more well done) which was close to 5 oz...DH had the rest... He also had Baked potatoes, we had squash Tracy had cooked Sunday and green beans... very filling - satisfying - DELICIOUS... oh yes, I was also able to add 2 small glasses (measured) of wine and not kill the tracker!!

Morning Christine... HATE when weather interrupts "plans"... hope you can get out to the movie! Thanks - actually as miserable as I have felt - since I don't have the horrendous COUGH that so many people have this year - I feel grateful! Yes I took 2 days off, but it is what it is... and I think it helped me to get over the worst of it sooner?!?
Sorry you have rain and ICE coming through tonight... as much as I do not like snow - I'd rather have 2' of snow to 2" of ICE...
Safe travels as you make your way to work today {{{{hugs}}}}

Gabrielle: I hope you got a couple of shorter breaks to at least eat lunch?? Is it a full marathon Sunday?? Where? I don't recall...hope the rains stop at least for that!
Jo: YES! LOL The sun for me right around 3:00 PM is definitely BLINDING... but I close my eyes, lift my face up and saw screw work for those few minutes... I "can" work through it, as I just have to tilt my head a bit and it's not in my eyes... but no one else needs to know that! LOL
Jenny: seem weird weather EVERYWHERE this year... we are at 6 now, expecting to be up to 60 by tomorrow!?!?? No wonder folks are so sick! YAY for having your weekend inside... avoiding the weather... How busy was the gym??
Sue: Hmmm, "spaghetti" sounds yummy...Oh how I WISH I were like YOU SUE! LOL I don't often track in the morning... trying to this week... trying to make it my next new habit... but we'll see how far it gets me!!
My little noise machine was only $20. and can hear 6-7 different "sounds"... I (obviously) prefer the ocean or the rain! :-)
YAY for getting your lunch boxed up last night... LOL My fridge looks SO ORGANIZED this week! Tracy actually portioned EVERYTHING out Sunday... so I have neat "stacks" of everything... I LIKE IT, but NOT kidding myself it will look this way again!!
Lisa: Awesome classes you are getting into... the healing one sounds extremely interesting!

OK A little early - but I need gas again this morning :-( So yes I will let Brian pump it for me... worth the extra few cents per gallon to me!
Will be a long day at work - lots to get caught up on... month end reports can be completed now (should have been done last week when I was out) and Debbie is still out. I also am out Friday, so a long/short week for me!
Oh, LOL Scheduled mammogram for later this month too, so by the end of January ALL health things should be done for the year!!
Hope you can TAKE TIME TODAY to do SOMETHING for yourself... ♥hugs♥

Seriously struggling lately...very little motivation...I CAN ride my stationary bike but some one is always sleeping in the room where ever I try to put it. Maybe once the Girls return to college (January 23) I can put it in one of their rooms and start a new morning routine. I used to motivate myself with a good book or fun magazine that was OFF limits but only for the Bike. I plan to return to that lol
Also realized I have been working WAY too long of a day - 7:30 to 5:00 every day is draining. And I frequently don't get a lunch break as that is one time of the day our Teachers can meet away from their classrooms. So, my NY Resolution is to aim to wrap up the day by 4:30 (still some sunlight out there) and cook a healthy meal at home. The one committee that met at 6:45 AM each Thursday is finished so that helps too...Once this weather gets above 20 degrees out there I might try walking Colby again but seriously not safe for her paws or my waddling on ice LOL
Last Friday my friend/colleague needed to talk about work - this lasted until 5:30 pm! I was soo disappointed I didn't get home til almost 6:30 due to the heavy snow, brushing off the car from 4 inches of snow and ice, and dealing with traffic. By the time I made it home my Girls had left for dinner/movies with the neighborhood girls - which was fine, but I was so bummed I didn't get home to see them before they were gone...I know. Pathetic, poor me moment - I'm fine, just ...I don't know...

Morning Carole, Christine and all to come...
My lunchbox is full and my tracker is done except for supper tonight! Not sure what I will be in the mood for at that point!
Was planning to hit the pool after work today and then Thursday but will opt for Wednesday and Thursday because of the weather....it's a wintery mix that is to hit about the time I'd be heading home! If it was snow, it would be no biggie, but the sleet, freezing rain, snow mix makes for a "white knuckle" ride home so figure flipping Tuesday & Wednesday is the best way to keep my WO schedule intact of 3-4 days/week and NOT have to drive in slop!!
Fly-by is WAY up this morning, why?? Who knows??? I honestly can't figure this journey out but I will keep tracking, keep making better choices and hopefully it will all fall into place one day!!
Time to grab another cup of coffee...it's a chilly morning and I just want a 2nd one!! I usually keep it to one on a weekday morning, then switch to hot lemon water, but today...I want coffee!!
Will catch up when I get home about 4:45pm!!
Waves to all yet to come!

Good morning! Woke up multiple times last night to the sound of pouring rain---we are at almost 200% of normal now and the creeks/streams are overflowing. The news keeps telling us that only 6 inches of water can wash your car away, but some people just don't listen....thankfully no one has been hurt yet. I am still battling a slight headache that I've had for about 3 days and this morning I let it win and I stayed in bed....I laid there, but I decided to rest. We'll see if it made a difference.
I am SO glad to be able to check in here in the morning---it gets my head in th right place...you know what I mean? Really, I thank all of you!

Carole: Thanks for starting us and for the reminder to take care of ourselves. Sometimes I think I do TOO many things for myself....but, if I really think about it, most of my days are working, fixing dinner for other people, and listening to other people's struggles or stories. I am thinking about (shocker here) actually writing a few things down and journaling to read my thoughts like I would someone else's. Who knows, it might help me think through some of my own things! I am SO glad that you like your doctor! It's great that she makes time for you! Your appointment sounded like a good one and YAHOO for the 10# down! I remember one year when you were dreading going to the doctor because you thought the scale would be higher---that is in the past! I hope that your bronchitis resolves more quickly....Hey, like Sue, I am wondering why the prime rib has so much sodium...do you think that it's based on them thinking that it is cooked with a lot of salt or sauces? Hmmm.... Glad that you had a nice dinner. Hope that today is a good day for you today and that the weather really does warm up. No sun here! The marathon is in Redding...about 2 hours north of Sacramento. A small town, but we start on the Shasta Dam and run on the bike trail along the river. We finish running across the Sundial Bridge (you can probably look it up online). I've done it once before and it will be pretty. It's nice to go out of town with the girls too.

Sue: Good for you with your tracking and your swimming! So, you are looking to binge watch some things, huh? Well, one of my favorite shows ever was Nurse Jackie (no longer on HBO). Maybe you can find that? A GREAT Netflix series is Grace and Frankie. Have you seen it? I loved that show! I will see if I can think of some others. Yes, I find humidifiers to be great white noise. When the boys were little and would get colds, I would run one in their room and have no trouble falling asleep to the sound of it. DH is very sensitive to sounds like that---it's funny though because he has slept through the smoke alarm going off (due to a low battery) at least two times--I'm the only one around here who woke up! LOL. Hope that you have a good day today. Christine: Wow, you are definitely a lady who needs some time for YOU. You really do take care of so many people--which is your nature (I think) but it can catch up with you. I like that you are not beating yourself up about riding the bike...the 23rd will be here before you know it and you can try on some new routines. GREAT idea to focus on leaving the office earlier. I am in the same boat as you with that and I am fairly certain that no one notices the extra time---we put that on ourselves and it doesn't earn us any Brownie points Let's commit to that together! I have given up on the lunch time (trying to leave the office for an hour) but can try to leave earlier---get out of there before someone comes to the desk. We can do it! Hope that you can get to that movie. Say, I'll bet that the three of you would LOVE Lala Land. Everyone here is talking about it and I want to see it (but DH probably won't want to). Whatever you see, glad that you can have some time with the girls.

Jo: Wow, the kids have a lot of snow days lately, huh? That will make it even harder to adjust to going back! Oh well, they are young and can do it, right? Glad that you got to make the burrito bowls...they are a real hit around here. I add veggies to mine and not as much cheese. Hope that you have a good day today and some sunshine!
Jenny: So glad that you are feeling better but boo to your weather! We only had one snowy day. It seems like our temps are staying around 39-42 and SUPER rainy so it's just plain cold and soggy all of the time. It does feel different this year. Have you made it to the gym lately with Siobhan? I know that you have liked that...
Lisa: Your classes sound interesting! Nice that you can go to them in person--I think that it helps to hear what others are thinking/questioning too. Hope that you learn more about yourself--we all can use that! Has DD heard about the job yet? Thinking about you as you support her with that...
Shelly: How are you doing? Hope that your week is off to a good start.
Signing off now...need to get moving as it takes twice as long to get everywhere with all of the flooded roads, etc. Isn't it interesting how some people don't even notice it? They slide off of the road all of the time. DS17 has started his Independent Study program which means that he doesn't get to school until 10:00 am each day. This Friday he will get his first bulk of assignments--anxious to see how it goes. In the meantime, I worry! I can't help it, I hope that I feel better after Friday. Okay, time to go--I will try to check in at lunch time to get in a few minutes of non-work!
