This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Good morning! Freezing rain has our schools delayed this morning, and changing my entire day, as I was going to take Little Red for a ride to donate some household items. We'll be staying home instead.
Frieda; thanks for mentioning DM. It's the illness, I know that. Still hurts tho. How are things in your world? Great to see that nice long post from last night.
Guess I'll begin scaling Mt. Laundry; will check back to see who is around.

Good morning Nancy!
Less wind and vertigo here today. Still have a sinus headache. Lots of folks are really sick still in my office - one lady was almost admitted to the hospital yesterday but instead was told to stay home the rest of the week.
Tomorrow is our all-staff waste of time off site meeting. We're too busy this time of year but no one bothered to ask when the best time would be (never!). Supposed to be a reward for us all with a speaker, awards, breakout sessions, lunch and afternoon cupcakes. No one is looking forward to it. It's too bad management doesn't get it.
Ah, feeling like Negative Nelly today...sorry!! I'd better dig into work before my motivation leaves completely! Have a great day everyone!! HUGS!!

I'm with Nancy in the ice, but unlike her, mine caused child delivery to be rerouted. So I'm off for today.
I got a man's collection of chickens given to me yesterday. It includes a couple that will need to go to a,srewcpot: don't know whose. But it also included three ring neck pheasants. I was going to give them to our neighbors but couldn't get them last night to deliver. And now I've had them to look at and think I might want them myself. I'll give them a few days and decide. That's actually what my plans is in the chickens. There were lots and lots.
I will go back and catch up on yesterday's posts. Martha, hoping good outcomes with interview. And good results for all the we wa efforts and those in knock off programs. I need to get back to my knock off program to knock some off.
Sunday was our extended family gathering and then back to kids early the next day. I can use this day time clear the debris.

G'afternoon, dear CATs!
Our temps came up so snow/ice has melted for now. Guess what is to show up late tonight? A encore performance that wasn't requested.
Happy light & dvd done this morning. Attempted a different Jillian Michaels, No more trouble spots. Have a sore lower ab, will do again but differently. Extra exercise was a quick walk to library and back. Some books were due yesterday but wasn't leaving house with ice on the ground. I'd much rather pay the fine. I only brought home one book, that was on hold. I decided that embroidery work going to be what I do instead for now. Might help keep the barnacles from going too deep/too often in the recliner.
Nancy - Hope Mt. Wash-more has been scaled back to the base. Very good call on not going out for non-emergent errands. Frieda - (((hugs))). TM will be waiting for you when you are ready. Andrea - Maybe the 'vertigo' will be bad enough that you need to stay home tomorrow. hee, hee, hee. Linda - Enjoy your child-free day. Pick one thing that needs to be changed - drink more water, smaller portions, etc. - and work on that for a week or two. Then add another. Baby steps.
My day hasn't been too productive so will get crackin on making some dents around me.
Love & Hugs to all~ martha

Hi CATs, No ice here. In fact, we were supposed to hit 80+/- today. Then our temps are to drop back closer to normal for Jan.
Linda, you are getting quite an eclectic collection of fowls. How fun! Hope you enjoyed your day without minions. Martha, hoping you had a great interview and good news to follow. Frieda, is HRH gone most days? Andrea, I remember when you had this staff meeting last year. Seems you dreaded it but found it actually better than expected as I recall. Here's hoping this year will be even better. Nancy, glad Little Red is functional even if not yet beautiful. Hope the icy weather isn't too bad.
We've had a full day at the office and tonight is book club. I'm looking forward to selecting our books for the year and building my reading list.
I'm hoping to be back tomorrow.

Hi Friends. Brief evening Hi, wet precipitation is pelting down outside as temps begin to rise - upper twenties now. I can't hear it pinging the windows like it was a while ago. Cancelled piano for today/night due to weather conditions and conditions-to-be; always glad to have my decision validated by really crappy conditions coming true. DH walked Mick tonight - they were both soaked and road surface icy. Had to be sure to walk on snow that had ice coating to break through, and not on cleared surfaces.
Yes, PKate, one would think NYS did something to turn us all off in the fleeing of this state. The painful part is that I love NY, for many reasons. The many regions, all my memories, the seasons of May to October, the progressiveness of NY, my proximity to NYC, the smoking laws! But together they don't overpower the downside of winter. For a timetable, we're hoping summer I think, loosely. I must be here through a May recital. All other details yet to reveal themselves.
Anne, your 80 degrees makes me positively drool. And book club sounds very enjoyable. Andrea, tell us how the work gathering went. Martha, you are doing a great job at getting exercise in - you inspire me to get a dvd in. We'll see if it happens! I'll let you know.
Going to pre-track and knit a bit. Then another day to face, but upper 30's to be seen - a big change! Nightynight, All.
