Good Morning! Up and at'em early this morning. Didn't have time to pop in yesterday morning or at lunch. One of the girls on my team goes for a walk almost every day. I asked if I could join her. So we went for a 1/2 hour walk. It felt good to get out of the office and move. She said when the weathers nice she does 2 - 15 min. and 1 - 30 min. walks. I also parked on the 3rd level of the parking garage so I had to go up the stairs again. Seems like i didn't eat that much yesterday but maybe I just didn't track it correctly. 3 meals and an apple about 8pm. I wasn't that hungry yesterday.
Carole, Nadine, Sue, it was the strangest thing on MFP. I had my goals set for 30/40/30. But for some reason yesterday the grams for protein were 176g. The day before was 154. I don't know what happened. I did re-set them to 35/35/30. What is your suggestion? I never make my protein goal and for it to be in the 100s was high for me. But I had greek yogurt for breakfast, beef veggie soup and 1/2 a ham sandwich for lunch and crockpot pot roast for dinner.
Its raining here but I think this is supposed to warm us up. I know it said 60s by Friday. Nice. I'm over these temps in the teens. The kids were out of school for 3 days due to snow/ice. They could have gone back yesterday.
DH goes back to the Dermatologist today for a re-check. I think he has some more spots that they need to look at.

Mornin' Jo... YAY to YOU for the protein packed day yesterday!!My numbers on MFP "jump around" a lot too! My protein "starts out" at 84, must be as it adds in my exercise (LOL) they go up? Still I only get in the 60s I think! YOU GO GF!!
We are warm(er) 41 now... looks like we had rain, but doesn't appear to be raining now... hoping it is warm ENOUGH that roads are OK when I go into work! Always "sketchy" as I drive alongside the river...
Hey YAY too for going for a walk... and getting out with your teammate... I wasn't "hungry" all day either - but DD made tacos... not bad in calories, but the sodium is right up there... also she adds nachos... HUGE downfall for me, except this time... I took a "serving" off the plate and STOPPED AT THAT! HUGE NSV FOR ME!!
Let me go back and see how everyone's TAKE TIME TUESDAY went....

Carole, Nice that Tracy organized everything for the week. My fridge is never that organized. I love the sun shining in my partial window. I just move over until it moves its more the glare coming in the window. I'm not complaining. Enjoy your sun while you can. Its raining today so no sun for me, or walk probably. That is fantastic you lost 10 lbs last year! Really great. 'm the same as last year so you are doing better then me. Boy bronchitis is nasty stuff but you are lucky to not have the cough. Thats what usually gets me into trouble. We are getting a little behind at work. We are supposed to have a 1-3 day turn around time for the quotes and we are at 5-6 days. We can take up to 7 days but with being down a person it really affects the work load. Hope you are able to get caught up today.
Christine, wow you are working long days. Sorry you missed the girls yesterday. Good for you for putting yourself first and getting on that bike and working shorter hours. Yes its not safe to walk on that snow/ice out there for you or Colby.
Gabrielle, 3 days for a head ache? you needed that extra rest. I hope it helped. DH gets headaches like that. I hope its gone by now. That wold be annoying. Wow to all the rain you are getting. We ar getting that now for the next couple of days but its warming up the temps so we don't mind. DS is doing an independent study program? Sounds interesting. Hope all goes well with him and be careful on your roads.

Christine: YES... get that bike where you can ride it! How about the family room for the next week or so... aren't you alone in the mornings and can ride in peace? I AGREE STAY OFF THE ICE! Yikes!! Meanwhile - yes getting home earlier in the day is what you need to do...and have a game plan for when you get there!!
Awww... sorry you were SO late Friday... but so NICE that you were there for your friend/colleague! Nice to have friends - when the kids aren't around... {{{{{hugs}}}}}
Sue: Good idea to flip your swim nights... may as well go when it is safer to be out on the roads!
Yes, all we can do is keep on trackin'...plannin'...movin'...and someday it will all settle in place!
Gabrielle: YES! Stay in bed to relax a bit and get the headache out!! LOL Yes I get it... starting my day HERE and with MFP sort of keeps my head in the routine...
LOL I have gotten past my fear of the scales even at the doctors office! Hey - it is what it is... and since I am "so healthy" what does it matter, right??
Yeah - I don't know, I just took a generic listing for Prime Rib out of MFP - no clue what makes it that way... tried not to take the "lowest" calorie count, but wanted to track it... I assume it's the "rub"" they put on it? It was a nice crusty/salty outer layer! LOL
Enjoy your girls weekend away! The marathon will be great for you as always... can't wait to see your smiles at the end!
Eden sleeps with a humidifier on all the time... but hers is so quiet compared to mine! LOL Not that ours keeps us awake - by any means - but quieter would be "better" maybe...
Wish you could let go of some of the "worry" with DS... hope Friday's assignments get him all set up for the weeks ahead!

Lisa: Fingers crossed DD finds something soon {{{hugs}}}
I hope you DO enjoy your "classes" that you are singed up for.
Jenny: Yikes... never been "snowed in"... always make it out somehow... can't imagine NOT being able to get out!! YAY to your weather pattern... I wouldn't mind it either if it came and WENT just as quickly! LOL
Sue: Thanks... I agree, right now I am so excited to be "HEALTHY"... and yes the weight loss made me feel pretty good too... the fact I didn't even REALIZE it, hit me as weird! But hey... at this rate I CAN live to a ripe old age!! :-)
LOL I can't remember the last time I GOT 10/10 dots! No way this week either... with Debbie out, I am not sure I even got away from my desk at all for several hours!
I DID go in to Amanda yesterday afternoon - and told her I was feeling SWAMPED... she is going to do a few things today for me - so I can maybe breathe a bit!!
Might even take LUNCH!
Hey trust me - this perfectly organized fridge is not something I see often! LOL I will say it is easier in the morning...
Oh My SUE! I can't imagine Jason as "old"... with ALL he DOES all year round! Sorry he is having flexibility issues...maybe as the weather turns? He will FEEL BETTER!?!??
Lisa: So how do you LIKE your new slow cooker? Was the roast yummy??
Shelly: YAY to an awesome night's sleep!!
YES we opened ALL the shades yesterday... well blinds... just tilted them the other direction...amazing what people will "adapt" to if they will just LISTEN to what I am saying! OMG! Of course it was the end of the day - no sun at all... but hoping today with the warm up it means sunshine and they can SEE it won't BOTHER THEM!!! Oh yes, I'd also LOVE one of "those refrigerators" but... won't FIT in my kitchen space! LOL Not sure I could convince DH to tear down any more walls! LOL

So today I have to "start" my "prep" for Friday... no salad, no nuts, Ugghhhh... didn't plan for this! LOL So,,, the chicken strips will go on a plate with cooked green beans, squash... will have to do! It will be FINE, just not my norm... also NOT pre-portioned! LOL I can't have raw veggies today either!
I also forgot to get my broth... so DH will bring that home...DD is hitting the pharmacy for me - I never remembered to buy the meds/prep! Ugghhhh, I am losing it!! My mind doesn't focus... I am just so forgetful and lazy lately - OMG I need to figure THIS out ASAP!!
Oh... BIG NEWS... we have a new EBanking Supervisor!! A (young) Man... probably in his 30s... LOTS of EBanking/IT/Operations background... he was in the top 2 last time around, but was asking for too much $$... he has been unemployed (his choice) the past 3 months, so I guess he came down on his salary expectations!! I gotta tell you girls, I am excited - nervous - all of the above... I know it won't be PERFECT, there won't be major changes... except even Amanda told us she thinks she can learn FROM him... so maybe?? Just MAYBE??? My bigger "concern" is how others will "flock" to him... that's just their personalities... man/woman... whatever they are just more comfortable getting to know new people! I expect Kaitlin and Deb will have him wrapped around their fingers by summer!!
I need to concentrate on ME...letting him know my strengths...not worrying about the personal crap - I do not want him to be MY next best friend... but need to make him feel more "welcomed" than I did the last - apparently!
I am just not GOOD at wrapping people around my finger!!
OK Guess there is more "worry" than "excitement"! LOL
Meanwhile... need to re-read the day prep TODAY... what I can't have and pack my bag accordingly!
WORK IT WEDNESDAY...I'll try ♥hugs♥

Good morning:
Felt much better this morning and got in a good run on the TM....it seems counter-intuitive, but sometimes resting actually makes you stronger (alright...reading that sentence, it does NOT sound counter-intuitive, but it's what I think sometimes!) Long day today with a meeting in Sacramento at 4:00 pm so I hope that it isn't pouring rain for the long commuter drive home. Our rainfall is 205% of normal and it is like the whole place is going to slide away. BUT, the good news is that the mountains are supposed to get 6-12 feet of snow so that is great for the water situation.
Ate okay yesterday---feel like I am getting back in the swing of things and some better habits (except for tracking). I am going to track online today to see if I am more inclined to do that --I know that most of you here do that.

Jo: Thanks for starting us off today. YAY for finding a co-worker to walk with! Such a win-win to develop a friendship, get outside, and get some movement in for the day! Sounds like your eating went well yesterday--keep it up! I hope that the kids are back to school? It sounds like you are so busy at work--the new person is there now, right? I was thinking that she already started. Hope that you all can make a dent in the response time today so you don't have to worry about it. So, for my burrito bowl I add shredded lettuce and tomato (like a taco). I really like it that way and then I don't feel like I need so much of the rice/beans. Yes, DS17 is doing on-site classes and some Independent Study this semester to wrap up high school. The IS program is in HIGH demand at his school---he was lucky to get in so I really hope that he is committed (he rolls his eyes at me and says that he is). I hope that you can get a walk in and have a good day!

Carole: So, how are you feeling? Do you feel like the bronchitis is getting better? Good for you for sticking to one serving of the nachos---those are a "treat" food for me--I would have a hard time stopping if I had them too often! So glad that the crew is considering the open blinds!! I am so happy that you have a chance for some sunshine! Yep, I remember that prep---it's a good thing though to take care of these things. My Gyn called yesterday and I have to have a breast ultrasound (following up on my mammogram) due to "dense breast tissue". This will be my third one...keep waiting for the year that I don't need it. My next colonoscopy isn't for two years though... Yay for the new e-banking guy! Hey, don't let the others and their ways get to you. Be YOU! In my experience, most of the men I have worked with do not get into the whole drama thing so just be yourself, do your work....it will be good! Yes, I need to back off on DS17 a bit....I know that I will feel some relief (and so will he) after our Friday meeting. The hardest part of this is finding a balance between supporting him and encouraging him while holding him accountable. He picks up on EVERY word you say and doesn't let go of it....I need to let go a bit Have a good day!

Jenny: Yes, tons of rain here---very unsettling. I didn't see the picture of the sequoia that fell over, but DH told me about it. We are still recovering from the effects of the drought--lots of mudslides and trees falling. We are supposed to get a break (finally) on Friday and this weekend. Good for you for sticking to your DD...sounds like it is working! Yes, glad that you can have some downtime now since you are so busy in the summer---especially this last summer!
Sue: So Jason is going to PT? Yep, we all are feeling old sometimes! My DH is also very inflexible---he knows it and just hasn't found the "trick" to working on it. Someday maybe he will! So, I have been checking the weather and it is suppsed to be SUNNY at the marathon!! Yahoo! High of 57 and low of 42--perfect! Last time we ran it, it was super icy (but sunny) so I am looking forward to no ice. Hope that you have a good swim tonight---I'm jealous, we do not have any more full-service gas stations around here. That would be nice when the weather is bad!

OMG...that was a scary ride to work! While temps were 37° when I left the house, the roads are still colder so they were covered with slush, frozen slop and black ice!! Now that the sun is up and shining brightly, it will improve quickly, but it was a "white knuckle" commute for sure! Lots of schools actually decided to close for the day since anything more than a 2 hour delay, the day doesn't count anyway....not sure if our district finally did close, it was a 2 hour delay when I left for work!!
Need to check Rita's desk and make sure all is quiet there too!!
