This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Crazy busy week at work. Here we are midweek. I forgot to post yesterday. Flyby here. It was nearly 80 yesterday. Yuck. Although it's a three day weekend coming up, it looks as if I will be working most of it. Grr.
Anyway, I have not tracked in two days and need to go back and fix that. I really don't know where the last two days have gone.
Take care, friends -- I am reading belatedly to keep up with everyone.

Oh, T; we've all been there. Happy you took the time to check in.
Cold. Ice. Snow. Not a nice day again. I need Martha's happy light. We desperately need groceries, but I think I'll wait until later to see if the roads clear.
Until then, I have odds and ends I can do around here, and Z doesn't mind my gray mood.

Good morning T! Hope that coffee is strong to get your through your day!
I am neglecting my tracking this week as well. Today is the first official weigh in and I'm very sad to see the number on my scale at home. Today is also our all-day staff meeting and I'm going to be fidgety the entire time thinking about everything that I need to get done but can't because we need to do this team-building crap. Gaaaaa!
The winds are gusty again today which means my sinuses are going crazy, the vertigo has come back and I'm crabby. But hey, at least we have warm temps in the upper 40's and low 50's today!!
Thinking of you all and wishing a wonderful Wednesday!!!!

Good morning all. We are finally nearly thawed out from our frigid and icy weekend. From 10 degrees to 70 in the span of 5 days - only in NC!
Work has been crazy for me too, especially since I'm trying to prepare to be gone for a week. In hindsight it wasn't a good week for me to try and be gone, but gone I'll be. I'm so looking forward to some warm sunshine and gentle breezes. We leave at 6 am Sunday morning, and while I've thought about packing I still have lots to do. I hope I will take everyone's good suggestions to heart and get in some good activity coupled with reasonable eating next week and will come back refreshed and ready to kick behind.
For now I need to put my head down and get some things done. Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning, All,
Shari, I hear you. I love NY so much. Psychologically, I suspect it will always feel like home for many of the reasons that you articulated and a few more. Of course, I moved myself off to even more winter than I had before, didn’t I? Well, DH loves it here, and I am slowly finding my way.
Anne, what all is on your reading list? I am just finishing Incarceration Nations …
T., hang in there with the busy at work.
Frieda, NYC was intense and overstuffed with appointments, but it was also good. I had an agenda of personal errands I wanted to run, and they did not happen, but the most important things did. I can live with that.
Andrea, as someone who plans a lot of those kinds of sessions, I hope that the teambuilding isn’t unadulterated crap, that there is some gem of utility or inspiration in there somewhere.
Susan, enjoy your adventure! Will there be opportunities for walking, hiking, or swimming while you are away that will help you gently jumpstart the wagon?
Too much WFH and not enough time to prep for rehearsals, which begin Monday for my next production, and lobby politicians about prison performing arts! Also, too much Humphrey. He is wreaking havoc with my mileage for the week, but I think he is starting to weaken his grip. Nifty new ottoman from, no kidding, Turkey (It’s an Ottoman ottoman) arrived yesterday; living room is starting to come together. Gotta get to it.

Awww, Susan; just go and enjoy yourself, dear girl! No worries about work; it will all be there when you return, refreshed and renewed. Hey, Andrea...wishing we'd get some slightly warmer temps here. Our 16* today is a virtual heat wave. Welcome back to the MiniApple, Kate! Get well soon, please. DH vetoed any plans of me driving anywhere, promising tomorrow should be better. So, my desk is cleared (again), Red has her new floor mats, cargo liner, and dog cover installed. All that is left is the new headlight and fender repair. At least I can drive her now. I'm showered, hair still wet, and in fresh jammie pants and a sweatshirt. Next on the list is mopping the kitchen floor, just in case the new rugs come today. I have a dusty mess in my family room as DH is working on the fireplace. For some reason, the fan isn't working properly. Hey! One more thing to do.

Late fly thru... Woke up to about a foot of snow. Dh was just about to leave for work when they called and said to stay home as there was no power. Oh darn! We both took a morning nap and then went out to shovel. Ninety minutes later, shoveling and de-iceing is done. I took some picture and will post later on fb. Soup from the freezer and sandwiches for dinner tonight. DH just came in, so off to kitchen I go.... Stay warm dry & safe. HUGS

It's bitterly cold today. We have Nancy's 16 degrees with strong winds. I did get the illness that is permeating our family. Worse though is that Dh came home tonight and is very sick. I was even able to persuade him to notify them he won't be in tomorrow. And the babies will be cared for elsewhere.
I made chicken noodle soup for dinner. So far neither of us have been up for it. For Christmas I got an insta pot Electric pressure cooker. I really liked it. I set it and went to bed. That's something I never could do with my stove top model.
I hope Pkate is getting well. And all the other busy people are spared this show stopping illness.
