why would I look to add calories unnecessarily when my "old" formula still works? So I'm going to try the new plan with all of its "nudges" There's a new plan? |

The end of the 0P conversation always seems to include... let the scale be your guide. To members who don't get the common sense thing, if the goal is to lose and they are not losing.. time for a reality check. Anything can be overdone. Totally agree Louisstone That reality check won't come. Instead of re evaluating how many 0 point food they're eating they'll say the program isn't working and quit. |

Because despite all that I (and most people here) say about not overeating fruit, someone at my meeting a couple of weeks ago had lost like 50 pounds or something, and when the leader asked for her best tip she said that she has replaced all of her junk food with fruit and eats tons of grapes. She basically sits down with a big bowl of grapes in front of the TV at night and eats all of them. Now for me I say that is still a bad habit and mindlessly overeating - but it clearly works great for her! So it definitely all comes back to letting weight loss be your guide. While I don't see myself binging on eggs and poultry (although I could), I usually eat 1 egg and a couple of whites and I almost certainly will replace those whites with whole eggs. And I will probably eat a lot bigger portions of chicken. Maybe that will work out fine and that extra fat and protein will keep me more satisfied - we shall see. I am actually more worried about overeating beans than anything because I love them and I restrict them now because they are too high in points. And I know what you're thinking about not being able to overeat beans without side effects - but I have a digestive system of steel and they really don't affect me that way! My leader would say that it's good to replace junk with fruit but the ultimate idea is to stop the behavior, not to replace it with a different type of food. I agree. Plus that trick might not work as well the closer she gets to goal... smaller bodies =less calorie needs. |

At my last dietitian visit she gave me something similar to the old diabetic exchange lists. I'll be following that for my portions as long as WW wants to be vague AF about things (you figure it out and if or when you gain we'll be here for you, $ca- ching$).
I'm happy about less counting and more focus on healthy eating. I'm really trying to be positive about this. But vagueries in general annoy me.

My leader said December 3 is the roll out, so I won't learn until my Saturday meeting on Dec. 9. I'm going to have to force myself not to read the spoilers!

Not losing a whole lot on the scale, but my belly has shrunk by about 5-6" since October 2017.

I won't be doing it and I am OK with that. And Laura M , is right. People are saying well we didn't get fat on chicken breasts! Reminds me of you didn't get fat on fruit! I however, could easily overeat on chicken breast. This new program doesn't have weighing or measuring of zero point foods. I know they want you to eat to satisfaction, but if I could have done that years ago I wouldn't be here now. I over eat. I need guidelines. Therefore, I am counting calories or I will go back to PP. I like and need the structure. Thanks for that. I was going to ask/comment on this. I can easily overeat even chicken, turkey, ham, yogurt, and legumes (particularly w/ rice). Not weighing and measuring, and not having discipline is why I'm on WW.  |

Why? Let's say that I've been having one egg with whatever amount of egg whites to supplement since Momentum. Why does that suddenly become something that needs to revisited? If I know there's a 40 calorie spread between an egg and the whites, why would I look to add calories unnecessarily when my "old" formula still works? I am not the person who posted this but I do understand it. If I've lost 7 daily points I need to replace them 0 point food. Currently I eat about 3 to 4 points a day on 0 point foods (on average - varies a lot). So, I might choose to put some of calories into 0 point foods. The full egg is more satisfying and so I might decide to eat the extra calories for the egg. Of course, I have to eat less of something else if I am putting more calories into whole eggs. |

I actually am looking forward to this change...I just need a change. I've done Simply Filling before and this is like a combo of both points and SF. People need to realize that just because WW says "eat until you are satisfied, not stuffed" doesn't mean they can't deviate from that. If you're afraid of overeating, then by all means weigh & measure! If you need the structure, then structure yourself! It's like they expect WW to do EVERYTHING for them, rather than make the changes they need to make for themselves. I feel this is directed to me and my comment on wanting structure so I am going to respond. I don't EXPECT WW to do EVERYTHING for me. I like structure, so what? I didn't complain about the new plan, I said I wouldn't be doing it. I will weigh and measure and do a different plan. |
