You read my mInd, Karen. I was just going to get us started. I will BBL to chit chat. I just wanted to post this link for Linda about the folding cane and TSA. It should not be a problem as long as it fits under the seat or in the overhead compartment. apps.tsa.dhs.gov/mytsa/cib_results.aspx?search=Folding%20cane

Karen, how is Phoebe today? How is the cheesecake coming.
Liz, Kathy, I hope, the workday isn't too bad today.
Becky, did you get your pans?
I met GF for lunch today and we got all caught up on family gossip. We went to McAlister's Deli for the first time and we will go back. They make sandwiches, salads, loaded potatoes and soup. Just like Panera they have a choose two, so I got a cup of tomato soup and half a tuna salad sandwich. GF was raving about the potato salad. She got a Chicken Caesar wrap and took half home. I never thought a half of a sandwich and a cup of soup would be enough of a meal but I was satisfied.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Good Afternoon TLCs and thanks for the start Karen.
Karen - how is Phobe doing today? So happy to hear that things went so well. How is your cheesecake doing? We are having the crazy weather today with me in the office with the AC on and it's almost like spring with the temp being 65 here in the city!! Of course they are calling for 1-2 inches of snow Sat. into Sun. up north. I do think I will need to make the surgeon appointment and talk to him. I know I have been putting it off but my body is telling me otherwise unfortunately. Are you Dale and Phoebe all getting some sleep? Zoe had me back up for a drink of water again last night so I am throwing out the white flag and going to put a mat and bowl of water for her in the master bath.
Chele - how nice that you enjoyed a good lunch and found your comfort point. I was up .8 this morning for WI which is not surprising and probably a bit better than I anticipated. Just have to keep weighing and tracking. How is his Tinyness? I know with the size of my collapsible cane, I didn't find it surprising that it would be alright as a carry-on. Mine fits in a nice little drawstring bag that it came with as well.
Becky - hope your appointment goes well and that you are feeling better after that "snap" yesterday!
Waving to Linda and chuckling over her comments yesterday about we the joint challenged folks with our aches and pains as well!
Off to fight the forces of evil and have a 3:30pm PT appt. Ciao for now lovely ladies~

Chele, it has been forever since I went to a McAlister's but it was a favorite place for catering when I worked at the college so I had their food pretty regularly. They have really good brownie bites. I know what you mean about 1/2 a sandwich and a cup of soup being enough. One cheesecake is in the freezer and I will bake and freeze the other in the a.m. I had an afternoon of kitchen faux pas. First, I put the cheesecake filling in the food processor to mix it up and it didn't do such a great job on the cream cheese. That was when I remembered that I always used the hand mixer in the past. I hope the cheesecake is OK as it did have some clumps of cream cheese before I put it in the Instant Pot. It looked fine when I took it out so I'm hoping for the best. Then I was baking a loaf of bread and had the bread machine sitting on the counter atop the dishwasher. The loaf came out rather lopsided and I didn't know why until I realized that I had run a load of dishes while the bread machine was on. I've always been very careful not to do that before and I don't know why I forgot and did it this time. Just didn't have my head in the game I guess. Phoebe had a good day. No side effects from the chemo yet. She was happy that she got to take several walks, was able to jump on and off the furniture at will, and didn't get yelled at for jumping or counter surfing.
Liz, we had the same weather you did today. Very strange for January, even for here. We did have a bit of wind but it was a warm wind. So far my 2017 temperature afghan is going to be more colorful than the 2016 version. Do you know the surgeon well enough that you could call the office and ask if you would need an appointment or if you could schedule a phone conference instead? I was going to suggest that you put a water dish where Zoe can find it, so great minds are thinking alike. We have been extra diligent about taking Phoebe out today since she is now on Prednisone. She hasn't exhibitied much difference in her thirst yet. Do you think you will do the every day WI after this beta test ends? That has to be reallly frustrating. How was PT?
Becky, how did your appointment go?
Kathy, do you have a 3-day weekend coming up? Is your weather back to late spring highs like ours?
Linda, I think joint aches are a right of passage for folks who have been as active as we all have been.
My Tapatalk problem was corrected but it is malfunctioning again. When I updated the app the other day it apparently changed some of my settings. Not sure what's going on. So if you don't hear from me while I'm gone, don't worry. Even if I start the topic it's not showing up.

I'm late to the party Chicks but I'm here.Karen,Thanks for the start.
Chele,I'm glad you enjoyed your lunch. We have a place in Elgin where you can get 1/2 sandwich and soup.I haven't gone in awhile but it was filling.I did get my pans but I made chili beans tonight so I haven't had a chance to use them yet.
Liz,I'm sorry you are hurting so bad.Do you find you hurt more in the cold weather?I read an article on Medicine Net the other day that said that the weather isn't the cause of our achy joints but I sure would like to know why it hurts more then.If yoeu need to have surgery it prob would be best not to put it off longer than u need to.Your temp was our low this morning. It's 8:00 and still 72.I hope Zoe lets u sleep better tonight.
Karen,It sounds like u did have a rough day in the kitchen.I would like to get a bread machine one day.I'm glad Phoebe is feeling better.
The ortho gave me a cortisone shot in my right knee.I didn't realize I had arthritis in both knees. It's a lot worse in my right knee.He was going to order the Synvisc injections. They don't keep them on hand b/c they are so expensive.I hope they get an authorization from my ins co first b/c they cost $600 per injection and no way will I pay that much for any kind of shot.So far the cortisone hasn't helped.I did spray some Bio-Freeze on it when I got home. The shot didn't hurt b/c he sprayed a numbing agent on it first.I didn't even feel it just like the one I got from him about 5 yrs ago.He did tell me once you get arthritis it doesn't matter how much weight you lose it will come back.He also told me even with the Synvisc injections I prob won't be able to extend my leg all the way out anymore. However I do like that he's so conservative in that he feels surgery will be absolutely the last result. He said if the injections work I can keep getting them once a yr if I need to.I guess if they don't work then we will have to go a different route.

Ouch Becky.
glad Phoebe is doing well. Prednisone will make her hungry! trying NOT to think about cheesecake ...have Cheesecake Factory ten minutes away.
all day migraine that finally got to the just lurking stage so I could work at desk. Spent hour and a half signing papers and getting legal information finishing up the trust. BUT now we have to fix IRAs and funds and banks so they transfer to trust automatically if we go. Chase tomorrow. Maybe B of A. Have the beneficiary change papers with trust docs to mail tomorrow. At least lawyer took care of recording it on our deed. All this work for other people! It just goes on.
Went out for italian dinner at real italian family owned little restaurant. Not even 8. Feels like midnight.
