They close almost all of the Kmart stores in Phoenix... I only know of 1 store still around.

azcristi, there are just a few left in the Bay Area and none that one would want to visit. When Kmart went bankrupt, came out of it reorganized, issued new stock and had fistloads of fresh money you'd think they would have invested in making their stores relevantagain. Instead they bought Sears Holding Company, which owned Sears, Lands End, and Orchard Supply Hardware, and proceeded to run them all into the ground, too. Sad.

zazzles, did not realize all those stores were lumped together! I miss Orchard Supply! Kmart left Jacksonville about a year ago

An employee told me some months ago that Sears Holding Company sold Orchard to Lowes; she said the employees think of it their stores as "Lowe's Light." 8>) |

I did go to Old Navy because my sisters and nieces and I have gone for the past few years and my nieces wanted to go this year. It's close by, not crowded, and everything is half off. We bought sweatshirts, scarves, pjs. I also just ordered a few pairs of earrings from www.jojolovesyou.comI first bought a pair of Jojos in a local boutique and loved them. It's a local company (used to be in Boston, moved to RI) owned by a woman. The earrings are so pretty. I always get compliments on mine and have given them as gifts. This weekend they're 20% off and free shipping. I swear I have nothing to do with the company! |

No, hubby and I were flying back from Florida to NJ and then picking up our pet bird. I probably wouldn't have gone out even if I had been home the whole time. My husband and I do most all of our shopping online. I guess the only exception might be for my father's gift. We might go to Macy's to buy him a corduroy sport jacket like my husband has. Dad said he wished he had one just like it.

We sure did! And it wasn't bad at all! Thursday we went to Kohl's and while there were a lot of people, everyone seemed nice and calm. Now on Friday, we went to Menard's and it was a MAD HOUSE! I had one lady run her cart into my behind and I turned and looked at her and she gave me a shitty "EXCUSE ME!" I said to her, "you are just going to have to wait because the people in front of me AREN'T MOVING!" She kept giving me dirty looks every time I would see her. LOL

No. I was off on Friday but other than going to the gym and a cardio walk, I don't even remember what I did. Over the weekend I went to Kohl's to get some shirts. I'm replacing my old ones that either don't fit right or have just seen too much mileage. The sales at the store were great, and there were really not that many people.

neen, I love Kohl's but I do not shop there enough to master the sales, Kohl's bucks/dollars etc for the best deals... Glad you had a pleasant shopping trip there!
