This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Good morning, all.
Heading to the shower in a few to get ready to attend a funeral service. HS friend's DBro passed at 58 after a very sad life. A and I are going for her sake; haven't seen each other in years.
Still icy and cold; I think I'd rather have a foot of snow instead.
Will BBL after I get home.

Morning, Nancy, and all the CATs to come,
Nancy, good on you for going to represent at that funeral.
Linda, good to hear from you; hurray for your 'snow day'! You work so hard.
Lots to do today; trying not to get overwhelmed by it. Best get to it.

I'll join in the happy it's Thursday club.
After we shoveled the snow last night, we got a dusting more of it. Not enough to cause problems for us.
Nancy - Condolences to HS friend and family. They will appreciate you & A presence. PKate - Hope life slows down a little. Remember to breathe. Linda - Hope the sickies go away quickly for all. Frieda - ((HUGS))
I'm headed to get some exercise in while doing happy light. Then I can cross two items off my to do list for today.
Thinking of all~ martha

Oh, dear. We just sat through the worst eulogy I've ever heard. My heart broke for his family, having to listen to it. Our GF was thrilled to see us, and that made it worth going. I'm ashamed at our priest and the job he did, reinforcing why I no longer attend Mass.
On the upside, A and I treated ourselves to coffee and a scone at a newly opened business in town. I hope it's a roaring success; it's warm, welcoming, and the coffee delicious. So nice to get caught up; we haven't seen each other since before Christmas.
Just got off the phone with DD. Several months ago, she requested a job review of the SD. He had only been required to pay her $159/mo. in child support (when he felt like it). The review came back with the determination that he should be paying over $800/mo. He also has not seen, nor asked to see, the boys for 8 mo. At this point, if he wants to see them, he will have to take DD to court, where he will not have a leg on which to stand. She refuses to allow him to disrupt the boys' lives with his sporadic interest in them. She also heard from the SD's birth mother, who asked if she was ready to go to court, "because grandparents have rights too". She lives in Oregon, has never exhibited any interest or concern over either boy in the 8 1/2 years since B1G was born. DD just laughed her off. Yeesh. I hope they get the adoption process going soon.

Flying through here; my mind is on 100 things. I overslept this morning and have been out of it since.
I'm pulling together DD's birthday dinner for tonight; she wants Indian, which is lots of little steps. Worth it, but I only do this once a year for a reason. Pakoras, chicken tikka masala, palaak paneer or a dal. Maybe both. The chicken was started in its marinade last night.
Gosh, Nancy, so sad about the lousy eulogy. But good for you, being there for her. Blessings.

Hello, How are you all? A lifetime has passed I think since I have visited you all. I will fill you in at the next CATvention whenever that may be. Anyhow, Martha, today is interview day?? I hope you did well. I'm glad you had a nice mental health day with your DH. Nancy, There is something nice about sitting down and actually having a snack and coffee/tea. It's so civilized. T: Did you see the movie on Am Prime that was the most downloaded movie? It looks like our type, but I can't remember the name. I'll have to search it somehow. I have bookclub Friday night. Oh, and Nancy, I hope things work out in DD's favor, RE: SD etc. It's like he's a bad apple. Always turning up once she breathes a sigh of relief. I just got a catalog and it features bell sleeves. Any discussion? Are Bell bottoms to follow? I think I'm doing tiki masala tonight too, but I don't have rice. Hmmmmm Susan, have a fun trip!! Enjoy everything about it!!
