Why does WW introduce the new plan in the UK a week before the US?

Funny, I've been wondering the same thing.

lmenglish , zazzles , borntexan , Speaking of rollout lol, you can now do like you did when it changed to SP, and change your computer date to a future date in your computer settings, to get to new plan info. I changed it to dec 10, and it has given me my new SP daily pt value - 23, no surprise. search food, all are the ones from the UK, so that is confirmed now, and a link to see what is new on WW Freestyle...so name confirmed for US members as well. However, even though you can search the foods, and it shows 0 point value, if you try to track it, it still tracks with the points, but you still able to plug in all the zero point foods that we had learned about and verify that they are zero for US WW Freestyle. Edit to say: I went into settings and the rollover option was there, and detailed the "up to 4 a day to rollover to the weeklies." flexgirl, I wonder why your leader would just not use the regular standard " i cannot confirm nor deny this information, just that great things are coming" comment that all the other leaders have been using. Maybe she does not realize, that although the names of the plans may be different in other areas, the plans are pretty much universal now. Starting with points plus, I think?

Well, for what it worth, my leader brought this subject up last night. She said the UK was a test area of sorts for any WW "changes". She asked how many had been reading the UK posts and said the changes were not the same for us. She asked what rumors we had read and then disavowed everything that was said. "Untrue, untrue" was her answer to everything that was said except when someone said more zero foods. She didn't agree or disagree.
She said that a lot of the rumors posted for out plan were incorrect. This is the second time she has brought this up and seems to be trying to squash most everything we have been talking about. This may be a WW plan to keep everything hush-hush or she might be really trying to tell us something, but whatever it is, she is VERY good at it. She almost had us believing no change was coming and I know that is incorrect.

flexgirl , oh yeah, almost forgot. The US was a test area for WW FReestyle lolol They had selected members that were beta testers to start doing the program weeks before hand. In addition to the leaders and employees always testing it as well. Oh well, maybe she is afraid of losing her job, as they are contractually obligated not to divulge anything without the "okay" ?

I just looked ahead in the app and I have 23 points on 12/10. Foods like beans are still listed with points.
The app made me update it before it would open so there's certainly something new.

Program changes come to the UK first because Thanksgiving isn't a thing there. So, they can get a good 6 week head start before the New Year's onslaught.
We have a major food holiday neat the end of November, thus the early December launch.

I rolled forward one of my spare computers to access the plan post-December 2. Initially everything that's going to be zero showed up with points. But eventually the new zero foods showed up as zero...and I have no idea what set of actions I took that made that happen. I was able to configure a day's menu for Dec. 3 that I could be very happy with—not unlike the menus I use some of the time—and it used very few total points out of my allotment of 35 (down 11 from 46).

Interesting, I changed my computer date and while my DPs changed to 23 but when I search for foods they all show the same value that they have now (both when I searched and also when I tracked). But we'll know soon enough and I'm pretty confident that we know what the deal is - those meeting topics about beans and eggs weren't exactly subtle. And I'm with Mike, I'd be pissed as hell if a leader outright lied to me. My leader is handling it very well I think, people make little comments about the changes and every time she just smiles and makes a lip zipping motion. So she's not lying and isn't technically verifying or denying even the fact that there are changes coming, but at the same time she's acknowledging that we're not stupid. zazzles, OMG your kitty! So cute!

zazzles , wildcat , haha! Yes, when accessing on a future date, i could say - search the foods and they would show as zero, but if I clicked to track, it still tracked with points. Logging out and logging back in with same future date - I would search and it would still show points on that search. I guess it is a tech thing, it is getting confused on what we are doing and not sure how to respond lol, so it is just going back and forth - poor program, it can't decide what the correct response is

lmenglish, I checked several recipes I built recently specifically to take advantage of the program changes and they were adjusted automatically. A navy bean soup which is 10 points per serving today shows up as 3 points per serving next week. wildcat, It did that to me, too, but after steping through various of the Living pages it all of a sudden tracked those items as zeroes. jeanie, but we already knew technology is not WW's strong point, right? Despit what the new CEO says about it being a primary focus for them now.
