lmenglish, vicki, Not on the zero points list. That is why I find it weird that the black forest ham sandwich went down 1 point. The SP formula stayed the same, right? So, my thinking is, the ham 6 inch sandwich should have stayed at 8 points. I can't figure out why it went down a point. It makes sense that the turkey sandwich would go from 8 points to 6, since turkey breast is on the zero points list. LOL, who knows. Could be IT error on the restaurant choices. Or just plain ole data error.

What an interesting thread this is. Louis, quite frankly, I too have over relied on zero food (I’ve been following the plan for a few weeks now), but it’s all working out for me. Here’s what I’m doing: Because I’m a volume eater, I have decided to follow the lowest end of points: 23 dailies and 14 weeklies. I’ve also started to focus on mindful eating, which for me is just slowing down. I have losst weight every single week. I love the zero food, I love that there’s less counting, and I love the rollovers. I guess in the end, we just all have to work it to our advantage, whatever that is.

speaking of the UK, i wonder how many calories those scotch eggs are, LOL..... I can't imagine trying to wash down hard boiled egg and ground turkey in the same recipe.... scotch eggs look disgusting to me! and i frequent a local british pub where they sell a lot of dishes i would not want to eat! in fact, a lot of british food is just not my cup of tea. the only things i've found i like are shepherds pie, welsh rarebit and cornish pasties. pretty basic stuff. so much of the british food looks like it would make me feel like puking a short time later! of course a big old american plate of bacon cheeseburgers and french fries with ranch dressing would probably turn others' stomachs and i can gladly chow down on that!

I'm wondering why the plan names have to be different in the UK vs the US. If it's really a trademark thing or something different. I much prefer the name Flex to Freestyle.

I thought I was going to have to wait until Dec. 9 to get the new materials, but my plans for this coming weekend changed and I'll be able to attend the 2:30 pm Sunday meeting. I'm keeping an open mind, and am willing to give it a good solid try. I hope the Leader knows what she's talking about. I've experienced some bad new program rollouts. Newbies leave with glazed eyes and looks of confusion, never to return.

Still makes me wonder why they wouldn't have just looked for a term that could be used in both places. But I know previous plans were called different things too. It just really sucks when big marketing geniuses don't ask for my opinion on things like this.

different names in different countries tend to be for that reason alone. name has already been trademarked. i've worked for global companies where they will purchase the use of the name from the trademark owner, so that their product can be known consistently by same name across the world but i'm guessing that in this case, they would rather not be known by a name synonymous with something having to do with ladies' hoo-ha products!
same reason why the british got a giggle over our popularity at one time with FANNY PACKS!

I set my tracker to 12/5 which is as far as I can go and I tried searching chicken and eggs and it still showed points. It didn't come up as 0 points.

All the zero point foods showed up as zero when I changed the date on my computer to view the plan. It let me track them as zero as well. I'm hearing mixed reviews from people that are trying it in the app since you aren't tricking the system you're just seeing if IT left the door open for you to peek in. lol

I majored in Condescension with a minor in Platitudes at Leader University. What's your net carb target? I know sweet potatoes score a little lower than white, so that could be something to rotate in on occasion. I like potatoes, in general, because they have a way of making a lump in the belly that just sits there a while. Most other veggies don't have that effect on me. We knew about your major and minor, and your second degree in leading banana republics. Seriously, I don't work off of net carbs. There is a 3rd carb counting methodology named Diabetic Carbs—you subtract 1/2 of the fiber for any grams over 5. I don't use that one either, just plain old carbs. I try to keep meals to a max of 60, and often am at 30 or 45 for lunch and dinner. I do love potatoes—but they, and rice, are not good choices for diabetics as they tend to raise the BS fast and high. Now that can be controlled by eating small servings of them, but it would be like telling you to restrict your weekly serving of chocolate cake to 1-1/2 tablespoons—better not to have any than just get teased and end up unsatisfied. The SP formula stayed the same, right? So, my thinking is, the ham 6 inch sandwich should have stayed at 8 points. Jeanie, if WW asked companies for more than basic NI this time around and Subway compled, then WW may have been able to fine tune the points by omitting zero-point items rather than just doing a calculation based on NI. It is also possible that the data WW had previously was out of date and that when Subway submitted current data the value changed. so much of the british food looks like it would make me feel like puking a short time later! LOL, Fin. Tell us how you really feel! No doubt you're right about American cheseburgers being a turn-off for many cultures—although Macdonald's IS very popular around the globe. I agree. Flex sounds like Flexible. Freestyle sounds like do whatever the hell you want to. "FreeStyle and related brand marks are trademarks of Abbott Diabetes Care Inc. in various jurisdictions." Fortunately, trademarks are issued in specific fields of use, like services, foods, etc. but i'm guessing that in this case, they would rather not be known by a name synonymous with something having to do with ladies' hoo-ha products! Not to mention the fact that WW is a notoriously cheap corporation when it comes to paying OUT money—but they're always willing to take money IN by the bucketloads. I set my tracker to 12/5 which is as far as I can go and I tried searching chicken and eggs and it still showed points. It didn't come up as 0 points. What device were you using? Did you set the date for the DEVICE ahead to a date that is equal to or beyond your official weigh-in date?
