I'm in. Went to the ob/gyn today. Ugh. Had blood drawn for a CBC and thyroid testing, oh and a not so lovely uterine biopsy. Will have an ultrasound on Monday. So excited. That above, has set the course of the day. I'm having a pity party of one, and I'm going to pretty much just watch TV, mindlessly scroll the internet today, and stare at all the homework I should be doing, but not going to do lol. zazzles, yearly questionnaire for Medicare? I have been on Medicare for 8 years, and I do not get these. Maybe because mine is disability and not just retirement age Medicare? And they get all that info from my doctors?

I maintained. It's OK! my thought is if I had a big loss from being sick, when I start to eat normal I will just gain it all back and have a BIG gain at my next WI! Positive attitude! zazzles, she is a jumper! On furniture, over the coffee table, the dog gate, Oakie and the cats! She's just never jumped up on people! It's a BIG step for her! I don't think she will ever be a lap dog, but it makes me happy she's comfortable in HER home!

Nice that you maintained, Neen.
Heather, feel better soon.
Good luck with the appliances Deb.
Had my yearly pulmonary function test this morning. Unfortunately it was not good. Pretty big difference from last year. Discouraging, but it is what it is.
Meanwhile, the husband of a very good friend of mine had neck surgery on Tuesday & then had a heart attack in the recovery room. He has a drain at the incision site because he's bleeding and had to be intubated. Prayers are definitely appreciated.

zazzles, jamescat1,I was surprised at the questions also. The billing office screws up and billed as a new Medicare patient even though I was new lady year. Working on that bill! DebDoesWW, for me buying appliances is scary because they are so expensive and you don't want to make a mistake! Didn't sleep great, got up and went to Zumba. Ran some errands, laundry, blah, blah, blah! Have done great with my eating this week which is good because next week everyone who wants a Christmas party is having one!

I also thought the questions for my Medicare check-up were ridiculous. I drew the hands on the clock when the nurse was out of the room and I had to repeat it in front of her since I had a watch on my wrist and might have cheated! My questions were with pencil and paper but 6 weeks later, DH had his check-up and the questions were all on a tablet and there was no clock question. I suppose the doctor might notice changes in depression, dementia, etc. when they compare answers year to year but overall, I doubt there is much benefit. jeanie, keeping positive thoughts for you. (((Hugs))) sullicat1, you too. (((Hugs)))

Hi all - Mind if I join in? Tying to keep myself more accountable as right now I'm on point with the plan. I stayed off the scale for the entire month of November and just weighed in this morning. Managed to lose 6lbs even with Thanksgiving and my birthday at the end of the month. I'm excited about the new plan and am working on my meal plan for next week.
Funny side note - the Lean Cuisine I just had for lunch still has Points Plus listed on the box. Seriously? lol

Checking in. Beautiful blue skies and mild temps. Taking lunch to Mom and spending time with her. Going through stacks is on the agenda soon. How does so much paper accumulate so fast. Wishing everyone a great day.
Welcome dragonfly. Congrats on handling Thanksgiving and your birthday so well.

jamescat1 , good point about the data. Of course, for many years I simply left SSN blank on forms that doctor's staffs handed me. Some of their straffs tried to make a big deal out of it, but I just informed them that although they had a right to ask for me to voluntarily provide the information, they had no legal right to force me to do so nor to deny me service without it. I wonder what would happen with that form if we simply wrote "Decline to answer" on many of the questions. And speaking of medicare, I just got a three-page summary in an envelope from them stating that they denied the $0.01 charge submitted by the doctor for Influenza Vaccine—which is that code I told you he had to submit to indicate that he asked me if I had had the shot. Total waste of government resources AND the last thing seniors need is to receive a notice that says something has been denied—people have had heart attackes and strokes with less stress-inducing things.

And they get all that info from my doctors? To be honest, I have no idea whether the information is for the purpose of the doctor making assessments and it stays with him, or it is gathered to be sent to Medicare. She's just never jumped up on people! Hmmm...perhaps she was disincented as a puppy from people jumping. Hopefully she gets over it if that's what you desire.

. Had blood drawn for a CBC and thyroid testing, oh and a not so lovely uterine biopsy. Will have an ultrasound on Monday. So Sorry your going through this! I have some kind of bullet journal ready to start tomorrow. Not like the things you see on pinterest. But I think it might work for me. One page is a whole year for emotional health- just fill in the box for each date with the color assigned to mood. I think it will help track depression cycles Made same type of grid for weight. will write it in either green or red to track loss and gain. Then made a monthly habit tracker and monthly cleaning tracker. It looks more like a data book (which is my style since I collect data all day), than a creative "journal" with pictures and artwork. We'll see how it works.

jeanie I hope everything is ok. I am 71 but have been on my husband’s health plan. We are going with Health Net with the same doctors we use. One prescription will be high because it has no generic and I am stocking up on a second one now. I have 2 that will be covered and we chose the supplement with some vision, dental, chiro, acupuncture and fitness. We will be paying a huge amount for the privilege of Medicare so zazzles denying .01 cent for a flu shot would have me fuming. My husband thinks HR at his former employer will take forever with the form they need to complete. When the nice lady we worked with said we could apply on line, call SS or go To the office, we cringed. On to happier things I bought items at Walmart for women and children who are staying at a home for victims of domestic violence. Shopping is so much fun.

I'm glad you maintained neen. Welcome dragonfly.I noticed that about Lean Cuisine also which is why I don't eat them. You are so giving jamescat1. Only in Texas can you wear jeans, long sleeves and boots in the morning and by 3:30 change into short sleeves and flip flops.
