Good morning cj59, I feel your pain. It seems like forever I have obsessed over my weight, food, exercise, etc. I guess for me it started in high school. Mostly boyfriends would say something because they wanted the Barbie doll girlfriend (which I never have been). I am 63 now. That's how long I have fought this body image. Now I am 65 pounds over weight and most of the time don't care. I have forgotten what it feels like to be at goal. I have probably said that before. I think now it is more of a health issue that I want/need to lose weight. cj59, will will get there. You are at your goal weight, but still struggle. I am wayyyyy over goal and struggle. Maybe we can make an individual weekly goal to work on. One thing at a time until it becomes a habit? I guess we would need more than a week....lol

Hi sunrose - thanks for the support, I'm glad we have this thread to offer that to each other. I'd be happy to work on any weekly goals you'd like to suggest I've done the Beck Diet Solution review a few times and I've gained lots of good habits from that. I'm only a few years behind you in age and spent my whole life until now as an overweight woman. It has been so strange for me to be a healthy weight, it's something I never knew before. I've had to adjust to who I am now, and I'm still working on that. I sure don't want to go back to the way I was so I know I need to get myself together and get back on track. I'm happy that I haven't given up eating some healthy foods each day and getting in my water and exercise. If I had given up all of that I'd be really worried, but I feel like I just needed a break from the obsession of sticking to a food plan every day. And I really wanted to enjoy some of the holiday foods of Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'm hoping this next week will be more on track, even though I already have a few days that will be challenges. But I'm not going to get down on myself, I'm just making it through this time. Hope everyone else checking in is doing well on their plans

Just checking in for the day. I'm still overeating, but I've pretty much cleared out most of the junk I had in the house - so hopefully I can manage not to bring anymore in. It's too bad I can't have stuff like that in the house and portion it out, but I have danger foods that I'll just keep eating. There are a few snack things that I can manage and I need to remember to only bring those in the house. I'm starting to feel like I want to get back on track, so I hope that I can. Hope everyone is doing well

Hi everyone! I'm just stopping by to say I enjoy reading this thread, and that I should probably post instead of just lurk. I love sunrose49 's idea about a weekly goal, and I think it's so cool that cj59 is on Momentum. I'm on PP myself. What is everyone else using?

Hi Irisinnia, hope you keep joining us!! I am doing the current program. The jury is still out. Love this picture of your doggies.
cj59, you are so mindful of what you are doing. We can do this!
Should we pick a challenge together or do an individual one? I know for me I would like to work on eating some veggies at lunch and dinner. I am terrible about that. What do you ladies think?

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today irisinnia - It's nice to see you posting, please post here whenever you can. We can all use all the support we can get Lots of people really loved PP and we're successful on it. I hope it's working well for you. sunrose - I'm up for a group challenge, or individual ones too, whatever works best for everyone. I do have a vegetable pretty much every night for dinner, but I'm not one to have them at lunch very often - unless it's lettuce on my sandwich My goal is always to have 2 servings of vegetables each day, since I'm someone who could rarely eat a vegetable if I didn't make myself. Although today I did actually have a vegetable at lunch. I opened a can of Progresso Light Chicken Noodle Soup and added in some canned carrots to bulk up the soup. I'll finish the carrots for dinner. I had my weigh-in today and gained weight - which I pretty much figured I would after a week off track. I'm glad seeing the gain didn't make me go "crazy" and want to give up. It just reinforced for me what I've learned over the last two years - I will never be able to just eat whatever I want and maintain a weight loss. I will always have to watch my portion control and the foods I eat each day. I can have "treats", but I can't have them every day. This is just the reality of my life if I want to be successful at keeping off the weight. So I'm back on track today and I'm going watch what I eat this week. I will have a challenging day on Thursday and know that I'll be eating some high calorie foods that day, so hopefully I can keep my points low the rest of the week. Hopefully I'll get this weight I gained back off in a few weeks.

Good morning
cj59, I am with you on not being able to eat anything I want. I hope Thursday is enjoyable for you. WTG adding carrots to your soup! I have to make my own veggie soup because I have to watch my sodium. I have bought sodium free tomato soup, which is yummy, bought it is 4 points. Yikes!!
I'm working the steps, water, and the rest is still so,so. I am going to add a veggie to my lunch and dinner for a week and see how that goes. Anyone want to join me? If not, what are you doing to do for a week?

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today sunrose - I'll join you in the vegetable at lunch and dinner every day this week challenge. It will be good for me to add the vegetable at lunchtime. I'm good for Monday and I plan to have some vegetables this afternoon. It's crazy how many points soup is, isn't it? I love the Progresso Hearty Tomato Soup and it's 4 Momentum points for the can. I checked Smart Points and it's 10 Smart points for the can!!! I'd probably never eat it again if I was on Smart Points. I'm doing well today and avoided buying junk in the grocery store. I also passed up a fast food lunch and didn't stop by Krispy Kreme donuts to try the special Gingerbread Spice donut that is only available today. So I'm taking all those things as a success.

Good morning
cj59, thanks for joining me on the veggie challenge. WTG with not stopping at a fast food and skipping the gingerbread spice donut!!!! I have homemade WW Veggie soup with black beans added. So I had it at lunch and dinner.
We are on a roll ;-) (even though it's been one day...lol)

Hi sunrose - Yes, we are doing great I've had vegetables for lunch and dinner each day this week so far - I already have some planned for today. This has been a good challenge for me. I forget how filling the vegetables are and it's nice to have them at lunch when I rarely do that. I wish I liked beans and eggs, since I'd like to try the new WW program. But I think I need to realize that Momentum works the best for me and that I can incorporate healthy foods into that plan too. I'm feeling strong again today, so it's good to have 3 days in a row like that. I know that tomorrow I'm going to get some high calorie food. I've planned for it and should have plenty of weekly points to cover it. I want to enjoy it and then be right back on track for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hope anyone else checking in doing well.

Hi sunrose - Hope you doing well with getting on your game today and that you get the veggies in at lunch and dinner. I have my vegetables planned for lunch and dinner today.
I've been saving some vegetables from dinner a few nights (making extra) and those are what I'm eating the next day. That works well for me and I really appreciate this challenge since I'm bad about getting in my fruits and vegetables, so this is really making me plan and eat more of them.
My trip to the place with the high calorie food (an Amish Market) was postponed until next week. That works well for me since I've been doing so good this week with staying on track. I hope to finish the rest of my week strong and then I'll plan for the extra points/calories for next week and Christmas Eve. I hope I can manage to have mostly good days next week too.

Good morning
cj59, that's great the challenge is working for you. I got in 2 bowls of veggie soup yesterday. Lots of veggies in it. Sounds like your cancellation worked out for the best for you. Keep us the good work!!
I use to be really good about v/f, but not so much anymore. I'm going to keep working on the veggies and then add fruit to it. I'm a work in progress ;-)
Waving to all

Hello Everyone sunrose - good for you getting in the vegetables, hope you can add to your fruits too. I make myself have 2 fruit servings each day. leesa - congratulations on the 15% weight loss! Snow shoveling is a great exercise. Hope you can get the rest of your Christmas preparations done. Day 5 of the vegetable challenge and I've had vegetables for lunch and dinner, just 2 more days to figure out. I will try to keep incorporating some vegetables at lunch times some days after this. I've found they really are filling and help me to avoid snack eating. I'm just not sure I'll eat them for lunch each day. I had lunch out today and stuck to the foods I'd planned to eat, so I'm still on track for this week. I hope I can make it through the weekend and stay within my weekly points before weigh-in on Monday.
