Hi leesa - That's a great plan to save all your weeklies for the holiday, that's what I did the last few years when I was still working at losing weight. I hope that works well for you and that you are able to manage the challenges tomorrow. You have a great attitude I'm doing a lot of overeating, but I'm still able to stick to some of my good habits - getting in my minimum personal daily steps, getting in my water, eating fruits, vegetables and dairy every day, and tracking what I'm eating even when it's off plan. It's been good to feel that I'm not really out of control, but that I choose to overeat this holiday. I feel that I can get back on track after the holiday, so I hope to be strong enough to do that. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans

Hello Everyone Just checking in for the day. I went to a family party today and did eat a bunch of high calorie food, but I still managed to get in my dairy, fruits, vegetables, water and exercise today, so hopefully that balanced out the overeating some. I probably have a few more days of overeating, but hope to get back on track full time during the coming week. I'm really happy that I don't have the feeling that I just want to quit watching what I eat. I guess after 2 years of tracking and eating right the habit to do it is starting to get ingrained in me and I can't imagine going back to eating a bunch of junk every day and nothing healthy (which is what I was doing a few years ago). Hope you are all enjoying the holiday and sticking to your plans (as best as you can).

Merry Christmas to all who read and check in here Hi sunrose - Hope you have had a wonderful holiday. I've had a quiet day, and it was nice to stay in after a busy week. I've still been eating a bunch of the baked goods and party foods I made these last few days, but most of them are gone from the house now. I'm hoping to get back on track this week and put the holiday behind me. I don't plan to do this next year! I was supposed to weigh-in this morning but I forgot. I'm not sure if I should be concerned about that or not After weighing-in every Monday for over 2 and half years, it's shocking to forget that easily. I hope it was just because of the holidays and not because in my mind I feel like I'm not accountable. I guess I'll weigh in tomorrow morning and see what the damage of these last few days has been.

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all enjoy the holidays on your terms. I missed a lot of the holiday eating discussions, but if I can briefly weigh in. Go to those events and jump in those pictures with loved ones. They see you as you are and love you as you are. Anyone who says anything about your weight is speaking from love/fear or from their own pain. And if you are reading this, you are already working on it. It may not be as much or as fast as you or anyone else would like. But itโs your journey. Make the choices you are happy with. Good luck to everyone!

Good morning
cj59, It was probably that Christmas Day fell on a Monday that you forgot to weigh in.
irisinnia, I like what you wrote--thanks!
I am reading a book on my kindle that a member at my WW meeting recommended. It is called "100 Days of Weight Loss" the secret to being successful on any diet plan. I just started it. It was only $2.99. I am really going to try and refocus and turn some of my bad habits around in 2018.

Hello Everyone irisinnia - You are right about people who what to spend time with us seeing us as we are. I try to make myself go to more things now that I wouldn't have in the past. sunrose - that book sounds interested. I think anything that helps us focus is good. I hope it helps you. I'm really off track with my eating. I can tell I have the mindset that it's the end of the year and I just want to eat junk and then start fresh on January 1st. I'm fighting it as much as I can though. Because I can do a lot of damage between now and next Monday. I'm still eating my fruits, vegetables and dairy. I get in my water each day and I've been getting in my daily steps. I'd challenged myself for December to a minimum amount each day and so far I've met the goal for 26 days, I can't wait to finish. I'll never set this tough of a goal again, or at least not for awhile. I did weigh in today and have gained weight, which didn't surprise me. I'm not letting it bother me, since I know I can myself back on track whenever I want to. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans

Good morning
cj59, so far the book is really interesting. Hang in there 2018 is almost here! My son has been really out of control with his eating. I have been a little bit. But I need to stop because I've put on a few pounds. It's just way to hard to get it off.
I hope everyone is doing well. I can't believe it is almost 2018. Where do the years go.

Hi sunrose - Hope you can control your overeating. I think it helps that the new year is almost here, so we can have a clean start. I realized I have to get all the junk/high calorie food out of the house, unfortunately for some reason I think I need to eat it to get rid of it I'm trying to hang on to most of my good habits to counter the overeating. Hopefully I can get back on track full time soon. Hope everyone else is doing well

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well I hope that the lack of posts here doesn't mean you are off track - like I am I've just given into the need to eat whatever I want for the last few days of the year. I'm not proud about that, because I know I need to be better at sticking to my program. I'm still trying to get in my fruits, vegetables, dairy, water and exercise each day. And I've decided to start back on January 1st with all my good habits - like weighing and measuring my foods. I've also always been bad about getting in healthy oils so I want to try to at least get half of the daily requirement in.

Good Morning Well I sorta survived Christmas. My plan to use weeklies for Christmas Eve happen. Mostly it was used to cover the Baileys, boy is that stuff pointy. However, Christmas day I wanted to be OP, but failed and ended up dipping into weeklies again. I used 15 weeklies for both those two days and haven't eaten that many points in 7 months. How easy it is to lose control and I had to put the brakes on big time. I am happy to report that Tuesday - Friday I stuck to my dailies points and stayed OP. Anyway, I faced the scale and was down 1 lb and will gladly take it. cj59, sunrose49, irisinnia, I hope you guys are doing okay today with the holidays and a Happy New Year to all.

Hi leesa - Congratulations on the weight loss during the holidays I admire your hard work. Hi sunrose - It's tough resisting the sweets, isn't it I'm glad you have a alternative to your walking outside. I'm still overeating a lot today. I pretty much have most of the junk out of the house now and hopefully what is left I will be able to control. If I can't, I'm going to throw it out. I'm thinking I need to work on a food plan for next week, so I don't have to make any quick decisions about what to eat. I want to get back to all my good habits. I partly miss eating more healthy, all this junk food just makes me feel sluggish. Hope anyone else checking in is doing well on their plans.

Good afternoon cj59, we talked about all the bad eating at WW this morning. People were saying how it made them feel yucky. I got into the cookies last night I gained 2.2 at the meeting. That is for 2 weeks. I didn't weigh last week. I wish all of you a very Happy New Year! Do you have any plans? My son and I will have dinner together and then I'll hang out until I fall asleep.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well and enjoying your New Year's Eve sunrose - that's not a bad gain for two holiday weeks, I'm sure you can take it back off. I don't go out on New Year's Eve, I'll probably be in bed before midnight I'm still eating out of control today, but pretty much most of the junk is gone and I'm ready to get back on track tomorrow. I did finish up the month with success in the challenge I set for myself to get at least 25,000 steps on my Fitbit each day in December. Some days it was tough but I hope the extra activity helped balance out some of the overeating. I won't be setting that high of a goal again, or at least for a long time!
