After the beautiful day yesterday we have rain and gloom today. My husband wants me to go to Beirut with him but it will be hours in the car and not much for me to do while with him. We do talk in the car but traffic will be horrible and the relative he wants to visit not fun. The rest of the time would be running his errands. I feel I SHOULD go but don't WANT to go. Also would mean a meal "out" and that is another drawback since most are not really friendly for staying OP.
Lynn: Did you make it to WI? Hope you had fun with your friends and that you will have a marvelous weekend away.
Cherry: During winter are there more days that keep you in than you want to go out in? I hope you got through the magazines and found ways to keep busy and feel productive yesterday.
Beverly: I used to love going into antique shops to look around and find some good buys or just learn new information. Your day sounds fun. Great job skipping the burger out for a homemade one you know the ingredients of. How do you do the oven potatoes?
Pam: Glad to hear that you are taking care of yourself while you keep an eye on your husband. I hope they figure out his meds soon and that he will be able to move on to the next phase of the healing process. Will he be going to rehab or home?

Good morning. Another cold day. It was -16 this morning, but there was no wind, it was clear, and when I got up there was a beautiful full moon looking in my living room window. If it's not blowing and drifting and the visibility is good, I pretty much go wherever I need to in spite of the cold. I don't do much outside in the winter unless it is shoveling my walk or in front of the garage so I can get my car out. Usually we don't get this kind of cold for long periods at a time but this has hung on way too long. The normal winter temperature is probably in the teens and twenties. When it gets close to or above 30 it almost feels like a heat wave. I did get outside yesterday and shovel my walk and drove up after the mail. Also managed to get in some exercise by dancing as well as snow shoveling. I'll probably do the same today, except for the shoveling. Also continue to work on the magazines. Have a good day, beaches.

Good afternoon girls!!! Rainy & cool here today. I think our drought is over!! We have had a lot of rain lately. Cathy, when I make baked potatoes, I usually make several while I am at it, then I keep them in the fridge. When I want to make oven "fries", I just peal & cut them up, drizzle a little olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc. Bake them just till they start to brown, Delish. I finished them off this morning with an egg for breakfast. Did my big job at the church this morning, we had several things to do as we didn't go last week due to the bad weather. DH & I are going on a cruise to Mexico in 2 weeks, I am excited about it. We booked this trip almost 2 yrs ago!! We had gone on a cruise to Alaska, about 2 1/2 yrs ago, the cruise line (Norwegian) kept calling afterward & trying to sell us another cruise, I finally said yes & booked it as far out as I could. Now it is here!!! We have had so much going on this fall & winter that it has just been put on the back burner, now I am looking forward to it. We leave 2 wks from tomorrow. We are going to drive to New Orleans & sail from there. It is about a 6 or 7 hr drive from here to New Orleans. We will celebrate our 53rd wedding anniversary while we are on the ship. Great day to all.

Cathy, I did not get in to WI but will attend my regular meeting on Wed. I am still OP and feeling good. We arrived in RI and will stay until Monday as it is a federal holiday.
Pam I hope Paul gets through his rehab quickly and comes home soon.
Bev, I am glad you are going on a cruise. We love them and hope to plan one for the end of the year.
Enjoy the evening!
