Quiet day at work and back to winter after a few spring-like days.

Okay, I don't need to be worried about starting these injections on Friday, the 13th do I?  ( sullicat1's dentist story still has me freaked....) Good day yesterday, ready to get this show on the road. I'm as ready as I can be for Bradana's visit tonight, with instructions to J in case I'm in a chair with my leg up. It will be! She was so good about keeping it simple when we went in December (this girl knows how to entertain) so I need to take a breath and presume my efforts are fine. I am definitely nervous about the injection, but ready or not....to the shower. |

Good morning. Another cold morning of -16 but I have a beautiful full moon looking in my west living room window. And no wind... yet.
Deb, when you were looking at my avatar, the photo doesn't do it justice. Beyond the top of that hill there is a frozen snow covered lake that is about 3 miles wide with some fairly good sized hills on the other side. In real life everything looks much larger and closer.
I did brave the cold yesterday and went outside and shoveled my walk, then drove up after the mail. I may or may not go after the mail today. Other than that, I'm going to try to do a little more exercise than I did yesterday, a little cleaning, a little cooking (soup to eat and freeze), and continue taking care of those stacked up magazines.

Oh wow cherryt38, I was kind of wondering if that middle part in the photo might be water based because it appeared flat with no vegetation on it. To say you view is breathtaking is an understatement, truly. |

ksbruns You'll do great with your injection today. Friday the 13th will be a good luck charm for you. I agree with Deb, the kids want to see you and J and don't care about the meal. But, I do the same thing when my kids come over. Part of the perfectionist side of my personality. Hugs! TGIF! I'm taking a friend to P.T. and then we're meeting our group for lunch. This friend had a stroke 2 years ago and our group has been taking her to P.T during that time. She doesn't have family here so our group has taken charge of her recovery. It's been great to see her improvement and we like taking care of each other. Have a great day!

Good morning all.
I’m sitting here pondering why I’m seeing the full moon at 6:30 in the morning. Just seems weird.
It is 43° F outside, significantly cooler than yesterday. Seems like when it rains the temps are higher. The rain has cleared and we are supposed to have mostly sunshing for the next week. We need a break in the rain so all of the flooded areas of northern California can drain and dry out.
I’m working on my first cup of coffee and will soon make my 2nd and get some breakfast. The fireplace is blazing and taking the chill off me. In a couple of hours I’ll be off to my library for my volunteer stint. After that I’ll come home and do some cleaning and throw some Split Pea Soup into the slow cooker in preparation for a friend’s visit for lunch tomorrow.
I hope everyone has themselves a find day.

Happy Friday the 13th everyone! The assistant to the Department Head has decorated our floor with pictures of black cats and in the middle of the main office sits a ladder! Too Funny!
I for one am looking forward to the long weekend. My son is "stealing" my car for the weekend to go see his girlfriend (his truck isn't all that great, and I feel much safer with him driving the 2 hours in my car). We are supposed to get some ice tomorrow, so he's leaving tonight and will be back Sunday. Guess it will force me to clean carpets this weekend!

dina DebDoesWW linda72 Ah, thanks. I'm glad to get it started. DebDoesWW Remember, no beer at my house! I have an assortment of sparkling water, LOL. We are just the first of their evening plans, so I'm sure they will get it covered! linda72 That's the downside of moving so much, no special friends like that. J was my only support when I was sick (and then it nearly killed him!) Friends are huge.
