Good morning TLCS, just getting us started since I was up early with the pups and seeing Gary off to work for his half day today. Karen - safe and happy travels today, enjoy your GF weekend! Linda - glad the migraine subsided and was also chuckling about the cheesecake. I'm a cheesecake lover since I had discovered Junior's here in NY. Chele - sounds like Iggy's trip is progressing and that you and his tinyness are doing pretty well. Funny how they can guide our lives our little fur babies . I had the viewing yesterday evening which was sad and very emotional. I was so proud to see so many from my department there and also touched that my old VP and the SVP from HR came to pay respects and to check on meβ₯. Was nauseous and ravenous by the time I got home; realized I had only eaten some yogurt and an apple all day. Didn't get home until 9:pm so inhaled 1/2 of grilled chicken wrap I bought. Becky - the cortisone usually take a few days to take affect, sometimes sooner. Will keep my fingers crossed for the Synvisc but most insurance companies will approve since it is still much cheaper than patients having to have surgery. Kathy - very cool on scoring the U2 tickets and yes the work week was brutal and long. I was going to go in this Mon. but am seriously rethinking it; will see how I feel tomorrow. Any plans for the weekend? I think I'm still in a bit of a fog. Have a great morning and stay safe and warm! Will try to BBL after some errands. Ciao for now!

Liz, I didn't realize the viewing was last night. I hope the puggles gave you big hugs when you got home me. I think you deserve Monday off after the last couple of weeks - between the emotional upheaval and the chronic pain. I am surprised you only inhaled half a sandwich because I would have dived into the whole thing.
We we are expecting the freezing rain later this morning. The weather guessers kept saying we would get it overnight. Wrong again.
My little slave driver gave me a rough night last night. He couldn't sleep, so I shouldn't. I don't know what was keeping him awake unless he felt the bass from the music our neighbor's kids like to play. It can get annoying. I finally fell asleep around 3 am. Iggy started texting and emailing and when I didn't reply he called and woke me up. I couldn't go back to sleep and ended up with a migraine. The Imitrex finally kicked in and I can function now. I am glad I have one more day before Iggy gets back, so I can relax.
Waving to the the rest of the gang and Happy Trails to Karen.

Liz, thanks for the start. I didn't realize the viewing was last night and agree with Chele that you deserve Monday off! That's a lot to go through. I would've eaten the whole chicken wrap and probably more. I was down .4 this week and still have 3 holiday lbs. I'm hoping to truly get back to normal eating this week. No big plans for the weekend. How about you? I think I'm in the same fog as you are. Hope you get a chance to relax a bit. The concert will be something to look forward to and considering we went to Boston last time, this will be a much shorter trip. I haven't been to Tampa since 2009. I think we're going to stay an extra day and do some sightseeing. Chele, I wouldn't be surprised if the bass was bothering his Tinyness. I can feel it sometimes when a party is going on and it's hard to get to sleep with it. Hope you have a relaxing day before the return of Iggy! We just had a quick shower and the current local weather said chance of rain was 0 for this hour. So much for that! Karen, enjoy your GF weekend. Sounds like a lot of fun! Stay safe on the roads.

Kathy, I keep meaning to tell you that I finally tried the Green Giants riced cauliflower. I made the stir fry from the recipe on the back of the bag. I really liked it. I also tried the cauliflower tots, also good but way higher in calories due to added carbs to make the tots.

Congrats on the U2 tickets
finally got through today's "gottas"...easier at Bank of America to make the trust account owner with us able to sign and trust right on checks and the contingency trustee's name recorded. Couple errands and home to walk Micki before rain.
i ordered a nice leather holder for boarding pass,ID or gOES card and passport for each of us from Levinger.
It hangs around neck. Nice because I hate getting stuff out of pockets and gAndbags and back, then out getting through security and customs flying. They came today.

Liz,Thanks for the start.I have heard the cortisone might take a few days.My knee was kinda iffy this morning running errands and visiting a friend in the nursing home but I had gotten my steps in early afternoon but I wanted to get my extra steps in every hr so I rode the exercise bike 10 min/hr for 3 hrs and it seemed to like the brief spurts rather than the 30 min at a time.I'm glad so many from your department showed up for the viewing.
Chele,I'm glad the migraine is better.Take care of yourself.
Kathy,Congrats on your loss.
Chele,I was wondering about the riced tots.I figured they had more calories due to the carbs.I have heard several people say they liked the riced cauliflower though.
I lost .8 this week and it lowered my weeklies by 7.I rarely use them but just in case I want to use some I changed my settings to maintain and added the 7 weeklies back in.

Chele, I'm glad you liked the GG riced cauliflower. I really didn't notice that I had my stir fry over the cauliflower instead of rice and it's a good trade of veggies vs. the calories/carbs in rice. Sometimes I mix it half and half with rice. I haven't tried the tots, but they look good. Linda, the holder for the boarding pass sounds great. I hate fumbling around with all that stuff too and I'm always afraid I'm going to lose something. Becky, thanks and congrats to you on your loss! Yours always seem bigger than mine. I know you're really working the program and I'm not nearly as restrictive as you are on eating the weeklies. That's good that the knee tolerated the shorter sessions.

Kathy,I may be restrictive on the weeklies but the last 2 days have been higher carb days.Today not quite as bad as yesterday and I'm trying to use more dailies so the loss was really unexpected since we ate out 3 times last week.I have just gotten where I like healthier options but I will take bites of Kenneth's treats at lunch or dinner.I think it's more the exercise than anything else.Believe me there have been some weeks in the last 4 1/2 yrs that I would have been happy with a .2 lb loss.
You will lose those 3 holiday lbs in no time.
I did put myself on maintenance today so I got the 28 weeklies back in case I want or need to use them.

Greetings! Good day yesterday but forgot weather in Raleigh can be very different from home. Dressed for 60s but was in 40s. Going home this morning with heat on high. Scanned posts and sounds like all of you are OK. Chele, did Iggy get back on schedule?
Have a lovely Sunday. Will check in from no.e when I get there.

Linda, I really liked the recumbent bike when I had a Y membership. I just prefer to exercise alone. I don't like waiting for equipment to workout. The leather holder would be very handy to keep all your travel docs on a convenient place.
Karen, I can't wait to hear about your trip. I hope you are warmed up by now. Iggy made it from Singapore to Paris and onto the flight from Paris to Atlanta which should land around 1 pm. His flight home isn't until 4pm.
Becky, I am glad you have decided to get more dailies in and flip to maintenance. I am doing the same thing in regard to exercise since my heel started hurting again-shorter sessions seem to be doing the trick. I am glad your knee is responding to that method, too. It is hard enough developing the exercise habit without a physical ailment making it difficult to keep up the habit.
Liz, how are you feeling today?

A favorite expensive restaurant, Roys pacific rim has special for app, entre and dessert for $39 a person , less than the entre! So eating tonight and getting down to gritty control Monday
got to stay in bed with coffee, dog and iPad today. But after that it is docs and PT and who knows?

Becky, I think you're right on the exercise helping with the weight loss. You're doing great!
Chele, I prefer to exercise alone too. I never did get into going to the gym that much other than for aerobics classes. That's a long travel day for Iggy. Hope his flights are on time.
Linda, thanks for the link to the passport holder. That looks really nice and I may have or order one myself. Enjoy your dinner out!
Karen, I didn't realize Raleigh's weather was that much different than yours. Have a safe and warm trip home!
Liz, Sunday feels completely different to me when I don't have to go to work on Monday. Hope you're having a nice, relaxing day.
