Good morning!
Well, Ruth I do not even remember the color I bought of that yarn. I ended up buying a color other than the one in the pattern. When Dh, Dd and I were in Michaels the other day I saw that they were sold out of the color I bought, which is greys and some black I think. We have had our mailman for several years, and while he is a man of few words is a nice caring man.
Magazine subscriptions are a problem for everyone, I think I only get 2 magazines, Country Woman and Taste of Home. That is all I can keep up with, and sometimes barely even that.
Guess I better head in to work. I am so hoping for a snow day tomorrow. Ginny

morning, well I finally got my playpen back together. hope to do some sewing today. yesterday I was helping my friend joyce with her tracfone. boy have they changed the site and made things harder. GGGRRR keep telling me my email and password is invalid. have had the same email for many years.the aent gave me a new password and I still cannot get into the site.
yesterday the gyn called. instead of her giving me an exam she set up the ultra sound. she did come to the waiting room and met with us. I like her. she did say they could take the cyst out and I would heal fast and still could have my hip surgery. she has informed the surgeon. when the girl was doing the u.s. she did say I have a little bit of blood flow there. news to me. maybe this is bigger then I am thinking. usually they like a doctor in the room reading the results. they were short a doctor yesterday and then short noticed. they will call with the results. I should email dr, Jordan and let her know we won't be home tomorrow just incase they have the results. not holding my breath. getting back to my quilting will help me get through thisj ourney.
enjoy your day. phyl

Phyl, I will pray for you that this is nothing serious to be concerned about.....in my mind the doctor would have /should have indicated that when she saw you. I am sure Ruth will check in with better wisdom than anything I can offer......Praying that this is not anything serious and that you are at peace about it. Ginny

Hello Crafters - Hope you are all doing well today Phyl - I hope everything goes well for you too. I'm glad you were able to get your craft room together and hopefully you were able to do some quilting. Ruth - It's funny how we feel obligated to give someone something when they give something to us. I'm bad about that too - I just feel like I have to give a return gift when I get an unexpected gift from someone. Ginny - Hope you don't get too much snow, we're supposed to get a dusting. I'm hoping it's nothing because I'd like to go out tomorrow, since Fri and Sat it's supposed to only be about 19 degrees for a high! Meg - Hope you are getting in some crocheting and reading. For those of you who complimented me on working on the decluttering, that only lasted two days, I haven't done a thing today A lot of those magazines I get come with my membership to AAA and my insurance company, etc. I only subscribe to one magazine so I can limit what comes into the house too. It's still cold here, but we had a heatwave today - up in the 30s!! Take care everyone!

CJ- gee I have been thinking about you! I heard about all the snow in South Carolina and figured in Virginia you were getting buried in the white stuff. Hope you only get that dusting so that you can get out on Friday and Saturday. 19 degrees is higher than my temperature has been for awhile. I actually figure that there is a chance of school closing for a 4 day weekend, because its supposed to be so very cold on Friday. Hey, that is ok that you did not accomplish a thing today. Sometimes you just have to take a break to get your momentum back!
Hoping to spend a quiet evening crocheting. Also hope I get a nice phone call tomorrow am at 4:30 telling me school is closed. Ginny

hi, ginny I think they wanted the ultra sound done because it shows more then the mri does. it will show the size and density. I to watch the u.s and it is amazing what shows up. got to watch the measuring of the cyst and watch her go different places with the instrument. they thought from the mri that the cyst was on the left side of the pelvis. the u.s shows it is attached to both tube. found that out this am when dr. jordan called. also is low and may not have been growing for along time. also the surgeon told dr.jordan the tubes need to come out. maybe as soon as Wednesday.t hey have an opening. dr. jordan said I could have the hip surgery and wait a few month to have the cyst out. I said not with the problems my sister had and now me I don't want to take chance and it grows. so she is going to talk to dr.lawrence and see if he is ok with this.it is close to my hip surgery. I askddr. Jordan if the u.s sorta takes place of a pelvic exam. it does.
I did a little bit of sewing this am. then had to go pick up my hearing aids that were sent in for repairs. then we went to the mall. checked on a couple of items I have my eye on. they haven't lowered the price from last weekend.then lunch at mickey dees and the grocery store. stay warm and have a good night. phyl

Phyl, it's always concerning when we don't know the whole story of what's going on. I'm sure you'll feel better after you see a doctor who can explain everything and answer your questions before going ahead with anything. I'm not sure what you meant when you said they told you a little blood but they said the same when I had my ultra sound also. I'm still not sure what it was and didn't get a very clear answer. Blood was in my uterus.I know I'm too old to have that there.Mine was done in a radiology center not in the doctor's office so I didn't get to watch the screen while it was being done. Phyl, what kind of problems did your sister have with cysts or her tubes? You don't have to answser that if you dont want to of course. I, like Ginny, will be praying for good results for this and then your hip surgery
Cj, You didn't fail because you took a day off. You did two days and that's fantastic. You have to take a day off now and then. Maybe work on doing that two days a week and don't set specific days or things might come up and you won't be able to do it one of the set days and that will throw you off track and it will be easy then to give up.
Today I spent most of my time cleaning all those little pain in the neck seams and crevices in my small appliances such as toaster, blender, mini processor etc. Those things drive me crazy. I also hate the little lines in the baking dishes that are hard to get to and you have to use something pointed to get them clean...the pick that comes with a nutcracker works well for that.
This year hasn't been the greatest so far. Dh has been grumpy. I've made a doctor appointment for him and left a message for the doctor to order labs before we goWe'll go get labs this week, dr visit is toward the end of the month. Then there will be a visit to the gastro then for upper scope and colonoscopy, then eye doctor , then to get glasses. And we'll go from there.

Good morning,
Phyl, this does indeed sound as though some complicated decisions must be made. I am sure you wish that all your medical specialists would sit in one room and talk to you to explain what they think is going on and the best way to treat you is. It must be very frustrating for you. I hope that you can come up with a good plan of action soon so that you can know that you will be getting timely medical care. I wonder if its possible to delay the hip surgery a week or so- so that the pelvic procedure can be taken care of immediately and give you time to recover. Glad you got out - and also got some sewing done. I will be praying for you for good outcomes from all your procedures and decisions.
Ruth, my prayers are also with you and your DH. Its so tough when our Dh’s are not pleasant...which can sure make life miserable for us. With all the testing and procedures you mention, it sounds like he might not be feeling well and is having some digestive issues. None of this is my business, but I will pray for both of you- most especially that his health is ok but also for patience for you as you must deal with diffficult moods. It can be very challenging and surely make life difficult.

morning, ruth I am not sure what kind of cancer my dear sis had. I just remember being young and visiting her in the hospital.. maybe early 50's.sis was 16 years older. maybe they didn't have names for cancer back then. when I would ask I never got a real answer. not sure if she knew. just know she had female problems very young. she would tell me the experience with both doctors ,never really said if she knew waht kind of cancer it was.
today we drive 40 miles to the clinic where I Am having the hip surgery. really like dr.lawrence.it is very cold.
thank you all for your prayers. have a good thursday. phyl

Hello Crafters - Hope you are all doing well today and staying warm Phyl - I hope everything goes well with your doctor's appointment and that they can figure a way to take care of the cyst and get your hip surgery done. Ginny - Hope you do get some days off from work, if your weather has been colder than mine that is really cold! Ruth - Hope things go well with your DH's appointments. Good for you getting all that cleaning done. Meg - Hope you are getting in some crocheting. Did you feel the earthquake that happened in San Francisco? I'm staying in today since it's very cold and windy. I did go out earlier and cleared a little bit of snow - we got about 1-2 inches of very powdery snow. I have a nice straw broom that I use to sweep the steps and sidewalk. It works much better than a shovel for the powdery stuff. The roads are pretty clear, so I'm hoping I can go out tomorrow and get some groceries. I don't really need anything so if I stay in it won't be a problem. I just haven't been out in a week and I'm starting to go a little stircrazy Take care everyone!

kPhyl, I didn't know your sister had cancer. I'm so sorry to hear about that. With her having cancer and a friend having recently died of cancer, the cancer thing must really be worrying you. Since I don't have any facts about your specific case I can't even make an informed guess of what the cyst is but I will say that most cysts are just that...plain old non harmful cysts...at least not harmful in the long run. I'll be praying that you'rs is a simple cyst that will be easy to remove and easy to recover from I think them saying you could wait till after the hip surgery is a good sign.Don't be afraid to ask all the questions you need to ask. There are pages on the internet that have lists of questions to ask you doctor and seem like they would be very helpful. Many time we don't know what to ask. Also take a list so you don't forget your question
CJ I do sometimes get a little stir crazy staying in for a long time but that's very rare because my favorite thing is to stay in. Of course I have someone here to see and talk to so it's different. I hope it warms up soon for you.
So Ginny, did you get your four day weekend?
I've been organizing my recipes that I have on my computer bookmark list. I used to have some on a document too but I'm not sure if that was on the computer or my old one that bit the dust. I'll have to look there. I'm sure there are some that need to be deleted if so.

CJ- indeed the broom is a great idea when the snow is this light. Hope you can get out tomorrow, with a small amount of snow like you had it will probably not be too difficult getting out. Think we would all go nuts being house bound for a week, I didn’t realize you had been in for so long. Just stay warm, dress well, its supposed to be mighty cold.
Ruth, indeed you have the best ideas- being our resident medical expert. Hope Phyl checks in to read your wisdom. And from my own experience, I agree, if they are indicating that its ok to wait until after the hip surgery to have the cyst removed, then they do suspect its not serious.
Phyl - hoping your appointment with the Dr Lawrence went well.
Meg, I had not heard of the earthquake- think you are well south of San Francisco....hope you are ok though!
Got a 2 hour delay for tomorrow. At least I can sleep in late. Ginny

hi, we had the class today and it was very interesting and fun. learned alot. boy do I have some work to do between now and then. they want us to memorize 4 things and some exercises. ok ruth on my page the doctor sent my results. it is called a bilateral ovarian cyst.I AM staying away from looking stuff up on the internet. sometimes they put to much information out there. I have a pre-op resteration tomorrow and 3 appointments one after another.
then Monday I meet with the surgeon.don thought maybe I could go these appointments I said no you are coming with so you know what is going on. I know for sure he would Be with Monday. things are moving fast. the doctor (WHO SEES PATIENTS) thought maybe dr.lawrence would cancel hip surgery. message says he is ok with both surgeries. so I called dr.lawrence office and left a message for his girl not TO cancel the surgery. now we have to go back up to do go back up for lab work that should have been done today. we canceled it because there is some kind of rule about a physcial 30 days before surgery. they do the nose swipe to check bacteria In your system. mary said they are looking for marsla. with this class I not have seen my doctor. come to find out he is In Hawaii and will be back Monday.boo hoo he didn't take us with. phyl
