Hi irisinnia - it's nice you get to eat at a place with point friendly food, hope you enjoy it. I used to get a little crazy after weigh-in and eat too much that day. I've tried to avoid that this time and treat each day the same - but it's difficult to break from that mentality sometimes. I saw you posted in the Beck thread on the GDT board, I'm doing that review again too. I did my first one in 2016 and it has helped me, I hope you enjoy it too. Thanks for your saying that my posting helps. I'm always worried I'll go back to eating too much and gaining weight, which I've done at least 4 times over the last 30 years. I told myself that this time I couldn't do that, I have to keep the weight off. So coming to the message boards and posting every day really helps keep me on track and accountable. And I get supposed from everyone posting on the boards too, so thanks for that I'm doing pretty well today. I made a food plan this morning and plan to stick to it. This will keep me within my weekly points for the week, with a few to spare. I counted the extra calories that I use for zero point foods this week and it was a bit eye opening. I figure I ate about 400 calories of zero point foods. On my plan that's about 8 points that I'm not counting. I haven't used many of my Activity points this week though, so I hope that's a good balance. I'm going to try to keep tracking these calories so I realize how that could get out of control. Hope everyone else checking in is doing well on their plans

irisinnia, it is good to be reminded of what people need to do to stay at goal.
cj59, I too like reading your posts. When I got to goal I would slip back into old habits and when I do reach it again (and I will) I am going to be mindful like you are.
Off to exercise. The scale is down a little today so I hope to keep it going for me WI on Sunday. Should warm up a bit here today!

Hello Everyone
I did my weigh-in yesterday and did lose weight that I had gained over the holidays, still have some more to lose though. I was doing pretty well yesterday and then after dinner ended up eating some cookies and candy. I really need to get that stuff out of the house!
I went to bed last night upset with myself and just telling myself I should eat whatever I want and not care. But I woke up and felt a little stronger about staying on program. So far today I'm on track, but no telling what tonight will bring. Hopefully I can stay strong. I do get tired of all the struggling and fighting with myself though. I'm not surprised that this is hard work, but I sure wish maintenance was easier.
sunrose - Congratulations for the scale being down. I know you can keep going strong until your next weigh-in
Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans.

Good morning
cj59, WTG losing some of the weight!! You've go this. You so inspire me. I know it is a struggle. I too wish it wasn't.
I am prepping for my colonoscopy today and I'm already starving. Wow how much I think about food or the times I eat. I miss my breakfast. At least the test is very early tomorrow. I know I will lose weight, but it would be nice to keep some of it off.

Hi sunrose - Hope everything goes well with your procedure tomorrow. Maybe you can keep off the weight you'll lose Don't congratulate me too soon though, I've had a rough week. I can't seem to stay on track and have been overeating. Yesterday I felt like I didn't even know what to do anymore, which is strange after over 2 years of staying on track. I'm not sure what's going on with me right now. I hope I can think about it and figure out why I'm having such a hard time right now. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans.

Hello all, I have been lurking, but I have been so busy with my schedule and my husband's schedule, it has been a tough couple of months. But things are starting to feel manageable again. I have been averaging about 8000 steps a day, I am taking swimming lessons, and today I tracked everything I ate, yay! Those are my first steps back on program. I will try to check in more often, talking to all of you always helps!

Hi lindyluck - Good for you getting in those steps and taking the swimming lessons, I'm sure the activity helps and feels good. Also great job on tracking, I know doing that has always helped me. I'm still off track with my eating. I am getting in my steps and exercise, my water, my fruits, vegetables and dairy - but I'm eating too much junk food. I've also been bad with my portion sizes. That's one of the first things that go when I get off track, so I realize that it's important for me to weigh and measure. It's funny but one of my favorite things to do when I'm not measuring is have a bigger bowl of cereal with more milk Pretty much all the junk food is out of the house, so I guess I need to get serious again about eating right. I think I have to accept that I need to limit bringing in these "danger" foods. I think I can control them, but I really can't. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans

Good morning and Happy Saturday
cj59, you still deserve a congrats for how far you have come and being mindful of what you are doing. Yea on the junk food being out of the house! It is out of mine too. I have a problem with M&Ms and chocolate chip cookies. I did lose some weight with the prep and I hope to keep it off and moving.
Linda, good to see you. Hope you do keep checking back with us. WTG with the steps and swimming.

My colonoscopy went well yesterday. I am good to go for another 5 years (I am on the 5 year plan--wish it was the 10 year plan ;-) Anyway I know I need to get more fiber in. I will be back at my 10K steps today. Also eating healthier. Tomorrow is my WW meeting and I hope to see a loss.

Hi sunrose - Congratulations on the weight loss, you can keep it going Good for you getting your steps in too. I'm glad your procedure went well and you don't have to worry about one for another 5 years. I'm still off track. I'm managing to get in my steps/exercise and most of my healthy foods but I'm eating junk too. At least most of it is out of the house now, and hopefully I can avoid going out and getting anymore. I have a lot of "things" going on in my life right now that are stressing me out and I think that's part of the reason for my overeating. The other part is just that I'm letting myself go back to old habits, even though I know that is not healthy for me. So I need to snap out of that and get back on track. Hopefully the week ahead will be good. Hope anyone else checking in is doing well on their plans.

Hi everyone it's gotten cold again here. The last two days I have earned 8 Aps from shoveling snow, and we might get more tomorrow. I haven't gotten on the scale recently, but have a NSV to report. I can now wear a size 16. This might still be huge to some people, but when you were wearing 3xs and 22/24 it feels good to go down in sizes too. sunrose49, congrats on the loss. lindyluck, great job with the steps. cj59, Hope you are doing well and ya for getting in those healthy foods. Sorry about the stress and hope things get better for you.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today leesa - Congratulations on getting into a smaller clothes size! I was wearing 3X/4X clothes and was so excited to be able to fit into a Large or Extra Large Misses size clothes - so I know how you feel and I hope you are enjoying the smaller clothes. sunrose - Glad to hear you are back on track. I've been tracking everything I ate too, I know there's no point in pretending to myself what I'm eating. I'm feeling stronger today since I weighed in and had gained back the weight I lost the week before. Also I put on a pair of jeans that are normally loose and they feel a big snug, so that's a big wake up call for me. I also avoided going out to buy food today, since it would just have been junk - that's all I wanted. I have to go out tomorrow so I hope I can be strong and not buy any junk now that I have all that out of the house.

Good morning
cj59, you can do it! I know how hard it is to get rid of the junk or to crave it! It's always a struggle.

Today is my birthday and I am going to eat right instead of eating cheese cake that I have been craving for a bit now. One slice is 17 points! YIKES!! I know it's my birthday and I could treat myself, but I think I will treat myself to a healthy day and be glad I still can do that.
