HAPPY BIRTHDAY sunrose! Wishing you a very happy day and year ahead.
Good for you passing on the cheesecake, hope you find another food to enjoy
I'm doing pretty well today and feeling strong, so I'm hoping for an on track week. I passed up a bunch of junk food at the grocery store today and didn't stop for fast food either. I made some homemade Beef Barley Vegetable soup today so I can have that for a few days.
Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans
(Sorry for the bolding, I can't get it to unbold )

Good morning
cj59, thanks for the birthday wishes. I had a small ff from a fast food place (along with a grilled chicken sandwich). That was my treat. How was the soup? I didn't even notice the bolding until you said it.
Hope everyone is doing well. I met my step goal yesterday and will do the same today.

Hi sunrose - that sounds like an enjoyable fast food meal - good choices My soup turned out well and I make enough for three servings so I'll have some today and then again tomorrow. I do put some seasoned salt in it, and usually don't lose weight when I eat it, but I'm hoping I'll still lose some more this week. I'm back at 1.5 pounds above goal, so I want to work on getting that off. I like to be about 5-7 pounds below goal so I have a buffer. I lowered my points to go back into a weight loss mode. Just have to keep working at it. I can tell this is probably what the future will be like, rather than always staying below my goal weight. At least I'm eating better and feeling stronger about staying on plan. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well I'm checking in for the day and feeling strong and staying on track. I went to Burger King for lunch today and limited myself to the lower points foods I had planned for. I also passed up some junk food when I was shopping, so I feel good about that. I'm hoping to continue to stay strong.

Good morning
cj59, awesome job on passing up the junk food! Also on getting so close to your goal again. Small steps (one at a time) can make you feel strong! I need to work on that myself.
Headed to a friends house for the weekend so I probably won't be checking in until Monday. Have a great "strong" weekend!!

Hi sunrose - hope you have a wonderful weekend and enjoy visiting with your friends I'm doing well today and have my food all planned out for the day. I've been crossing off the items on a list that I wrote. I've come to the realization that maintaining my weight loss is not going to be easy. It's always going to be work every day - planning my food, getting in my water, getting in my exercise. I think I just have to fight against the desire for it to be less work and just accept this is the way it will be if I want to keep the weight off. I do hope to stop this gaining and losing that I've been doing over the past 2 months. It's tiring going from a maintaining mode to a weight loss mode and then back again. Hopefully once I get off this weight that I gained since November I can get back to just maintaining. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans.

Just checking in for the day to keep myself on track. I've written out my meals for the day and I'm finding that is really helping me. When I haven't planned what to eat, it's easier for me to get off track. If I can make it through tomorrow on track, I'll have had a full week back on plan. I'm hoping this continues until I can lose the weight I gained and get back to maintaining. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans and enjoying the weekend

Checking for the day. This is the last day of my week and I'm fighting a strong urge to overeat today. I've been trying to exercise and drink fluids to counter it. I also had a small back of 100 calorie popcorn, which I hope fills me up some. I've done well this whole week and don't want to mess it up on the last day. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans

Good morning
cj59, I too am tired of the back and forth of the scale. I do think you have a good perspective on how to look at maintaining.
I had a good time at my friends house. Saturday night we drank too much wine and snacked too much. I went to my WW meeting yesterday morning and gained .4, which I thought was not bad at all after the night before. We walked a lot so that helped.
I met my step goal every day last week and I will do the same this week.

Hi sunrose - that was not a bad gain at all for having enjoyed some party foods. It was great that you were able to get your steps in each day
I weighed-in today and I'm back below my goal weight (which I deliberately set about 10 pounds above what the highest WW goal weight would be for me). So I'm happy to be below goal, but I still want to lose about 5 pounds. I like to have a buffer to make up for any dips in my weight. I'll just keep plugging along at it.
I will definitely be more careful during the holidays this year. I don't want to go through all this struggling of dieting and slipping back into old eating habits again.
Hope everyone else checking in is doing well on their plans.

Good morning
cj59, that is awesome you are below goal again!! I use to keep a buffer too. I am off to do my WATP dvd. I have been doing great with my steps, and doing better with tracking.
Have a great day everyone.

Tomorrow is my first (well this time around) Weight Watchers at Work meeting. I'm nervous and excited all at once. I'm good about planning out dinners, but HORRIBLE about planning breakfast/lunch/snacks for at work. What are your suggestions for easy grab-and-go healthy food?

Hello to you all! I just got done reading the entire January thread, thanks for sharing your ups and downs, it helps so much to hear the struggles and solutions that others go through.
I had a good week. I stayed on program by bringing Lean Cuisine entrees to work for lunch and adding fruit or yogurt. Oatmeal with walnuts for bkfast, LC entree for lunch, fruit and a few mini wheats for a snack. Trader Joe's low sodium chicken broth as a warm snack. I've been getting around 8000 steps a day, trying to increase that.
I weighed in yesterday and I lost 1.6 pounds, for 7.2 pounds lost. That is two weeks in a row with a loss, I am proud of that. My clothes are starting to get a bit looser, which feels great!
Have a good day, all!

Hi Starfish71, I work at a casino card room with a 24 hour restaurant, so I need to bring healthy foods for lunch and snacks or I'll be tempted to order lunch. There are things on the menu that are relatively healthy, but the portions are big. Sometimes I can eat half and save half, but sometimes I cave and eat it all...
I keep Activia yogurt and single serve cottage cheese cups in the fridge, along with a carton of Trader Joe's low sodium chicken broth. In the freezer I keep Lean Cuisine entrees and Lean Pockets. Sometimes I will bring a small sandwich. But I am bad about making stuff, so the stuff in the freezer saves me. I also bring fruit.
