So...now onFree Style. I'm liking it so far but................I have a TON of Smart Points cookbooks with a lot of favorite recipes. I rocked those recipes. Anyone know how to convert the points totals from those to the new Free Style points program??? I loved that Points Calculator thing. I could take any recipe and just slide the insert to the fats, calories, and fiber and get the points. Anything like that for Free Style? Thanks guys!

There is a recipe builder on the WW site. I know it's on the web-based site---not sure if you can pull it up on the mobile app. I've already put in some new recipes and the old recipes that I had put in the WW site before FS have been automatically converted to FS points. Open up "My Day" (on the web version) and click "Create" for a drop-down menu and choose "Recipe." I have lots of WW cookbooks too, going back decades, but now I search the site for specific ingredients and take it from there. I'm thinking of printing out favorites and making my own cookbook, adding as I find new favorites.

Today, I took a WW recipe for Veal piccato, edited it out to use chicken and it recalculated. I use the recipe builder a lot. Just put in the ingredients that you think has points, then I write the points in the cookbook

Thanks guys! capecodmomma, fullmahina, lmenglish, WW actually converted many of their SP cookbooks & have the new points on their site. www.weightwatchers.com/wcsstore/WeightWatchersCatalogAssetStore/Recipe_Conversions_PDFs/Cookbook_Freestyle_SPV_Listing_2018.pdfIf the link doesn't work, go to WW & click on Shop at the top. Go clear to the bottom of the page & click on FAQs. At the very bottom of the FAQs page, there's a link to the converted recipes. That's a lot easier than using the recipe builder.

lavonm, thank you but I'm in the same boat as fullmahina. Lately, I have been using the Skinnytaste and Marlene Koch cookbooks. Skinnytaste updated hers to SP before Freestyle.

lavonm , thank you but I'm in the same boat as fullmahina . Lately, I have been using the Skinnytaste and Marlene Koch cookbooks. Skinnytaste updated hers to SP before Freestyle. lmenglish, Bummer. Most of my WW books are PP but I actually have 3 of the SP books, which were on the list. Maybe they'll add more later but I'm amazed they converted any.

fullmahina, lmenglish, lavonm, Thanks guys! My cookbooks aren't on the list either (thanks for the link) but maybe they will continue to update it. For now I guess I'll just use the recipe builder and not include the foods I know to be zero. I'll make notations next to the recipe. A bit clumsy but a girl has do what a girl has to do! I'm liking the FS program. How about you guys?

I used a recipe on the WW web site for Veal piccata, was able to edit the veal and use chicken, it recalculated, was very happy about that! capecodmomma, I love FS! Held my own over the holidays and did not exercise. I seem to be eating more veggies and thinking outside of the box. I had some slaw leftover so I sauteed it with chicken and sesame seed oil, very good. And very happy to enjoy press and corn!

I hated SP so I really had my doubts but I'm happy I decided to give it a try. Of course, I like all the foods on the zero point list so that helps a lot.

You know, I think its the free fruit, eggs and beans that make it easier this time. I am very mindful how much of them I eat though! Having a bowl of grapes and berries out on the counter really helps. When I get a craving I just have one or two. I know they've compensated for the beans and fruits by lowering the useable points to 23 but heck....it works for me.

Please be careful with the word "free." There is NO food that is "free." There are foods that have 0 SmartPoints, but in no way are they "free" foods. It is possible to overeat anything, 0 SmartPoints foods included. One trick to Weight Watchers is to STOP eating when you're no longer hungry. Don't confuse yourself by using the word "free." It's dangerous.
