Good Morning. Clear & cold but looks like we're in for a warming trend this week into the 40's & I'll take it.
a little shopping to,do,this morning. Definitely need some groceries &I might hit a couple of thrift shops. Most of my chores are done so,the day is mine.
Forgot to turn the heat down last night. Made for a rather uncomfortable night's sleep. Getting so forgetful. Between that .& locking myself, out of the house yesterday makes me realize that getting old ain't for sissies 😏 Have a good one!

Good morning@sullicat1 and AWF.
I don't have a lot planned today.Going to Curves and a little grocery shopping. We did get rain last night but thank goodness we didn't get the storm they were predicting. It's already 61 in Central TX.
Have a great Monday whether you have to work or not.

Sending good Monday vibes to all. Off to work and it should be quiet in the building I work in since many will have the federal holiday off.
Had a good weekend. Saw Hidden Figures yesterday and thought it was a fabulous movie. Such a story that was long untold.

Good morning! J has the day off and I think is pondering selling his car, it's on its last legs and we really don't need two cars. (Staying out of it, LOL.) We spent a LOT of time sorting CD's last night, I haven't parted with mine, but they are boxed up...his are still shelved. So, it felt like a huge project accomplished. 👣👣👣 I rode the indoor bike yesterday and all is well, don't have to feel as antsy about the next injection, which is nice; I'm putting off joining a gym for a bit, but need to tackle a strength DVD today. I am trying a cleaner tomorrow, so working to keep the house in the good shape it was in for Friday night....then I'll be ready to create a new mess, I think. If J can get himself sorted today, it might be movie night! Have a good one. sullicat1 Both my front and back doors look automatically behind me...I haven't decided how to handle that situation yet, but it feels fraught with crisis. You are so right!

Not lucky enough to have the day off. But I am surprised that the clinic isn't busier, guess no one wants to come in! Trying a new recipe, hamburger stroganoff from the Skinny Taste cookbook. It will be hard to compete from mine that I got from Marie Callenders! Happy Monday, ugh!

Oh my, we've been having storms blow through Houston since 4:30 a.m. My cell phone keeps beeping weather alerts, telling me to take shelter. We have been under a tornado alert for hours but the rain is slowing a little. We've had almost 3" of rain (in 4 hours) This storm should be moving to the north over the next few hours. That's good because I'm meeting with my girl friends for our monthly get-together where we have lunch and then play a card game called Pokeno.
Saw lots of good football this weekend. Hope your team won!

Good morning. For the first time in weeks, it seems, the temp hasn't gotten below zero. Last night the low was 1 and right now it is 5. I think it is supposed to get up in the 20's today.
I did manage to get in some exercise yesterday, and am going for it again today. This consists of fast dancing at home. Today I'm going to add some strength training. Not much else on my schedule, just the usual household chores.
If you live in a house, you can hide a key somewhere outside. I have metal siding, and on each corner is a square metal cap that covers the edges from top to bottom. I keep a magnetic key holder up in the open bottom of that, as it stops where the siding meets the foundation. An apartment would be a different story if you didn't have a manager living on the premises.

Good morning everyone. It's 42° here in Silicon Valley and I believe we are supposed to have sunshine today in advance of the next storm arriving. sullicat1, are you using an iPhone/iPad? I notice spurious commas in your post and that's a problem I have all the time when typing on the on-screen keyboard. As much as those devices employ auto-correct, you'd think they could figure out where commas don't belong and remove them! If you own a home and are willing to invest a little money, there are locks by Schlage, Kwikset and others that have keypads that permit you program them to use a four-digit code to open the lock. I have these on my house and I never have to worry about locking myself out. There are also some locks that can be locked and unlocked with a smartphone. ksbruns, this likely won't help you in an apartment. lmenglish, I look forward to seeing a review of the hamburger stroganoff recipe. I used to make one that's done in a skillet using hamburger, onion, mushrooms, cream of mushroom soup and sour cream. I haven't though of it or made it in years. A healthy substitute would be welcomed.
I made Quick Cinnamon Swirl Cake from Marlene Koch’s Eat What You Love: Quick & Easy cookbook last night so I’d have some breakfast pastry for breakfast. The recipe uses Splenda and comes out like a struesel-topped coffee cake; very tasty. It is baked in an 8” x 8” pan and makes nine servings, so I have plenty in the freezer to work into my breakfast rotation. and at 23g of carbs per serving it is diabetes appropriate. I’ll be launching into my mornign routine soon and heading to my WW meeting for weigh-in. My scale says that I’m down 1.2#; we shall see what the WW scale says! After my meeting I have a blood test scheduled for my A1C; I see my endocrinologist on Wednesday. Since it is a holiday, there’s not a lot to think about doing today. Although not everybody has the day off, the government workers, banking employees, insurance industry employees, etc. generally fill venues like malls and theaters that would otherwise not be very crowded on a weekday. I may just hit a mall to get some walking in. I hope you all have a fabulous day!

DebDoesWW I actually have a lanyard with a key on it, LOL...but I haven't taken to wearing it 24/7 yet...😶 borntexan I exercise really consistently, but I do not work out past the *moderate* stage either. And I can tell it's of benefit; I always regret it when I overdo.

I am definitely interested in some of the Hue light stuff, which I can use in an apt, but we haven't taken the plunge yet. The locks have a double whammy because they are old and cranky. I can tell the owner is all about the historic look of them, so I'm trying to figure them out....fortunately, they do not slam! I'm starting my doctor cycle this month...good luck!

I'm IN.
Toots is off. I'm not. MissMouse is off (so no MousekeSitting). So we both slept in, until after 6:30 AM.
Now he's puttering and I'm dawdling. I have to be on duty (I've had a phone call and there's an e-mail to which I need to craft an "I did MY job; didn't this Other Person reach out to you, as her boss TOLD her to do?" reply). But otherwise I suspect that it will be a very quiet day.
I shall add in some ME-things that keep me within earshot of phone/work'Puter.
Have a healthy-eating one, all!

Sullicat – If you can, get a programmable thermostat. Worth every penny. Cherry – That’s what I did. I have an outdoor refrigerator and the spare key is in there. Love the pic Doordie Enjoy your lighter day at work MJ Waving to everyone else. Waiting on Charlie’s surgery. Probably won’t hear until this afternoon.
